Sam_Ikenna: No, what we need is to call a spade a spade. If you think Igbo is the problem kick them out. If its Yoruba, slice them out. If its Arewa, by all means get them out of here.Well said my brother. I also wonder why we MUST live together with all these mutual suspicion and zero national cohesion. |
Not sure if I can go through the whole thread. I guess I stopped at page 9 or 10. Here is my take: The Protagonist- Bestview (aka Chino) and the Antagonist Abagworo cannot be relied upon to be objective as far as Imo/Anambra is concerned. One is a well know 'supremacist' and the other more or less a 'sycophant.' And they keep regurgitating same (old) pictures to buttress their point. Anyone who seek genuine information about the state of affairs in Imo State is best advised to look for alternative sources. |
As they say, "Rochas don enter one chance!" ![]() |
If indeed this news is true, APGA should move swiftly to replace him. |
The Pilot should be posthumously charged with: 1. act of terrorism 2. multiple counts of first degree murder 3. destruction of property, and 4. Arson |
Chima_Adeoye: [size=14pt]We should stop chasing shadows and focus on where the problem lie, which is those who authorized the plane to fly.Thank you o jare. This is the koko of the matter. |
@Topic When are the Senators resigning? Why can't they lead by example? |
Soon enough November will be upon us. I lost interest in this election the moment Soludo was disqualified. I sincerely hope Anambra choose the right person to lead them. However deep down in my mind, I don't think this rigger, Okija shrine user, and lazy senator is the right man. Anambra should vote wisely. |
@Topic, Ngige made a tactical and strategic blunder. But the curse was not necessary. |
Op, I agree with you. Tinubu deserves to be President of the inmates in one of Nigeria's maximum security prisons for crimes ranging from fraud, perjury, embezzlement, drug offence among others. His ideas and ingenuity in crime and criminality will immensely benefit inmates who are looking forward to life outside prison as successful criminals. A craft well mastered by one and only Ijogbon - Tinubu. All in favour say 'Aye'! Future indeed! |
Well then, let the grazing route be mapped out, southern Nigeria goats needs grazing routes too. Lets see who gets there first. |
Nice one. But if you must know, there are things that demand attention: 1. Electricity is not yet 24/7 2. Road networks need attention 3. Hospitals 4. There is hardly water in the taps (if the taps exist at all). 5. Police 6. Water ways 7. . . . . I don't have time to list them all. Bottom line, the University is not the only sectors that needs fixing - Nigeria indeed needs to be fixed, and resource obviously is not enough. Lecturers are simply fighting for their pockets and using those challenges as an excuse. |
PAGAN 9JA:Where will food fall from?! Put them in ranches, and see if people will not cultivate grass (or whatever they eat) and sell to the ranch owners for the cows. The bushes, and so called forest are own by the people, and I doubt if they will be willing to let their lands be used for such. Your argument is archaic and ridiculous. Bottom line, make available your own farmland. No other person is willing to surrender their scarce land to dagger-wielding cattle herders, not with their savage antecedent! |
PAGAN 9JA:And I think it's foolishness for cows to graze (in villages, towns and cities) in this century. Food and drugs can be made available to the cows in the ranches, and they (cow and herdsmen) need not be genetically modified to live in ranches! |
PAGAN 9JA:Fair enough. Let them graze on your land, your farm. Smart people are even moving away from beef to fish, we can do without the blood-cattle of the fulanis! |
PAGAN 9JA:And how is grazing better than ranching? |
Nonsense! There shouldn't be anything like cattle grazing route in 21st century. Animals (all categories) should be housed. Cattle belong to the ranch! |
The old professor is right. Ngige is an election rigger, and his performance was simply because he had no choice. Obj through the instrument of the EFCC placed his administration on the microscope. Ngige had no choice than account for all kobo he spent. |
theoctopus: You know these guys like to throw fake statistics around and they always dwell on the negative because it gives them an escape route for their failures. For example, compare and contrast the following statementsMy guy, It's all part of the conspiracy of hypocrisy and insincerity aimed at calling a dog a bad name in order to hang it. Many young Nigerians are having some of the best times of their lives, but these scheming and angry ones will rather have us believe otherwise, albeit with no evidence to support it, other than some questionable 'anecdotal' evidence and hasty generalization. |
Omen100: The worst of it all is the unseen physical battles being fought between the Igbos + Ijaws against any other tribes who speaks against the erroneous policies of president Jonathan's lead administration, to the length that their own regional fellows are being addressed as betrayers just because they are not from the same philosophical schools of thoughts, even my elder brother do call me sometimes a traitor just because I acquired the Yoruba political philosophy. What crap is this one yapping about? What has Itsekiri, Urhobo and Igbo got to do with Nigerians 'insensitivity' to people who died trying to ferry the dead in a chartered aircraft? Must everything be seen from tribal lens? Abeg park somewhere! |
Bluntly speaking, if they could afford a chartered craft to ferry the dead, they should have at least gone for pretty better one. It's sad that Nigerian, and perhaps one or more who had nothing to do with the dead were caught up in the tragic incident. May they rest in peace! The 'coldness' or indifference with which certain tragedies (especially of the rich) is viewed, is far dissociated with poverty, but rather due falling premium placed on (Nigerian) lives occasioned by impunity which mass murderers (especially Islamists, Jihadists, Boko Haram, Kidnappers, Militants. etc) have been left to run rampage for a very long time. Unraveling violent crimes, and punishing murderers and there sponsors - with capital punishment, and generally stemming the atmosphere of impunity for murders will go along way into addressing this indifference we associate with tragic deaths. As per the argument that the gulf between the rich and poor is widening, more evidence is needed to support it. As contrary to the Op's submission, this gulf is actually shrinking as the Nigeria middle class (the bridge between the rich and poor) is actually growing. The growing number of social network users, is actually an indicator of this growth, not a sign of widening gap. A quick search for Nigeria middle class churned out the attached page:

kettykin: This is the retarded way of thinking of Arewa that has made them the dwarf of Africa in every sector of human endeavour apart from terrorism.Fixed. Completely agreed. |
.Perhaps he would prefer to be cremated; let's grant the dead man his wish - cremate him fast! I really doubt there will be people brave enough to accompany his corpse on any long journey again. |
Symphony007: no. I don't mean on this development. I want them to look at this government, policies and actions of the president during his tenure so far and tell me if there is something or a policy they disagree with. Example, I am a known fierce critic of the president but on this case. I commend him greatly.Ok. I understand you. There will be time and space for that on a separate thread, indeed there have been many. But just so you know, no one says the President is perfect or that all his policies and politics are good. But many of us see the Rails working, power station springing up, airport remodeled, agricultural revolution. terrible roads (Benin-Ore etc) fixed, elections free and fair, press free, etc and we are impressed. Surely you can't begrudge us, especially when he succeeded where other woefully failed! |
drberry: The casket carrying the late governor’s remains was found intactInteresting. Now the dead has to be rescued from it protective casket. By the way do they have a twenty on the body; is the corpse still there or is it missing in action? |
Symphony007: Can any jonathan supporter who have commented on this thread, tell me anything they disagree with him on?lol, funny. What is there to disagree with this good development, achieved in record time? Or you simply want to derail your thread? |
Wow, nicely done. And so it came to pass, Fresh Air filled Kogi State, lighting it up! |
Okija_juju: I just came off a Ban for attacking the Yorubas.. I have a long history of Igbo Tribal sentiments. How do you think I can ever be a Mod of a section like Politics with such history on my e-CV?Lol, miracles do happen. As it is in Nigeria, so it is in Nairaland. You may yet be redeemed. Here are my tips: You should do what you know best - create another ID, but do away with the bold multi-color text, and ![]() |
Okija_juju: Nwanna Kedu!Aww, didn't know both yorubas and Igbos didn't want you. Maybe you should try being another ethnic group, i.e. Ijaw since you are so attached to River State. Anyway, what made you think you can't become a MOD? Has Seun told you so? |
Okija_juju: I always knew that Talktimi boy was a Pharisee..My brother Okija_juju, Perhaps this is one race you can win. Oya start your firebrand campaign. ![]() |
