Dudu_Negro: Last time i saw him he was appointing ministers. i havent been here a long time.......a village riffraff banned me. I am the nicest and most courteous person and i get banned. Can you imagine?Banned you or all of you? Last time I checked you have at least 10 monikers. That all 10 (or more) of you are banned must tell you something you didn't know about yourself. Do you live off tribalism and bigotry? ![]() |
ndu_chucks: That's a great point. Its high time that the supermods contributed to cleansing this section by exposing those who use multiple IDs for the sole purpose supporting their bigotry.PointB now Tahaqa2? Well well what can I say? I like strategic ambiguity, so no comment! |
Dudu_Negro: Kukuwenu, i see you.......peekaboo!Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland is hale and hearty and very active. You need to shine your eyes. |
anonimi: I respectfully request that you permit me to make a slight but very important amendment to your meaningful proposal:More like it! ![]() |
Personally, I think the best is between Okonjo Iweala, Barth Nnaji, Dora Akunyili and GEJ, Donald Duke, and perhaps Fashola (if not for his bigotry and aiding and abetting Tinubu) These are some of the most outstanding public officers Nigeria ever produced. Hell Rufia is a loud mouthed thug, not fit for public office. |
osymerga: Oga fash, there is a difference btw amalgamation and independence. Yes,Nigeria got her independence in 1960,but the nation called Nigeria came into existence in 1914,when the northern and southern part of the country were join together as one.Thats what the FG is celebrating, and nt independence.Know the differences pls.lol, Thanks for dragging the flower planter back to school. I bet he skipped this lesson due the his truancy in school days. ![]() |
We the good people of Nairaland duly support the new PDP 8 point agenda. We urge the President to hasten the implementation of these beautiful ideas starting with point #5: •We demand a re-ordering of the inchoate federal structure we are running with a view to allowing the states and the other federating units more access to resources to attend to the numerous responsibilities placed on them.by implementing full resource control such that the state get 87% of their resources to enable "attend to the numerous responsibilities placed on them" while the central government get 13%. Who said the new PDP are entirely bad or selfish. Good things do sometimes come from bad people. #ResourceControlNow |
Gboliwe: I support you.He is a full blooded sincere yoruba man; a bridge builder. Indeed he will make a good moderator. For those clamoring for female Moderator, Londoner stands very tall and highly recommended as is Ngozievergreen |
ilugunboy: Yes Eledan has been very balance in this section.lmao, Balance indeed. Who doesn't know Eledan and you are sired from the same extremely bigoted stem? A kettle will always give props to the pot, as expected. |
Still on the issue of resource control, I like the idea of the 13% derivative principle. However, when Resource Control become the practice, may I propose that the state keep 87% percent of what they produce and give the central government 13%. That's a fair deal. |
talktimi: why not efik, tiv and berom while at it ? Obviously tribe is more important than capability to you.Good point. |
Eledan: Depend on what you call bigoted...Certainly, Jmaine is a much more refined individual, a balance yoruba man, and a respected Nairalander as are other people on my list. Question is going through most of your posts in this section, can such be said of you? |
Eledan: Your list gave you out as a bigger clownBecause Jmaine an Ekiti man is on the list? Are you that bigoted? |
Eledan: Heheheeeheeee...muhehehhheeeeeheYea bros, from you the clown! ![]() |
Eledan: Fixed ko? Lies ni.....nonsense !Jmaine is an Ekiti man, a respected poster. If you have been here long enough. In any case, he'll make a good MOD, not because he is yoruba. He alongside the other people (Tomakint, donphilopus, Londoner, Ngozievergreen) I nominated have my nomination. And I think Sincere9gerian will also make a good MOD. His passion is infectious. |
handebayor: One of the few times i agree with you BUT 1st of all, help tell uncle Jona to give unto ASUU what is ASUU'sWith resource control, ASUU will be history as States will be solely responsible for their own 'ASUU'. Lecturers wont have to be on strike nationwide. States with more stable learning environment will simply attract more students. #ResourceControlNow |
ilugunboy: jmaine.........tooFixed. And there is nothing wrong in being passionate. Jmaine is a gentleman, one of the most balance and respected Yoruba poster in this section. His contributions to debate is immense; it's a disservice to this community for you to slate him as 'extremist'. If you are looking for an extremist, you need not look beyond the mirror. |
Sincere 9gerian: NONSENSE! The only restructuring that makes sense is RESOURCE CONTROL. Let every state control its human and material resources and pay taxes to the centre. That will automatically remove all the attraction from the centre and the states will become the new centre of attraction. Corruption and struggle for power at the centre will automatically reduce. Healthy competition among states will return. State govts that cannot survive alone will automatically merge. In fact, most of the problems we see today will either disappear or becomes a local issue (restricted to within states). Any other talk apart from resource control is NONSENSE and playing to the gallery.Again perfectly and sincerely articulated. Resource control is simply a silver bullet solution for most of the problems bedeviling this country. Give the states resource control and every other thing will simply fall in place. It's a simple as that. By the way, when are these 'new' clowns joining their colleagues in the APC - Anger & Pain Contraption.? |
We look forward to seeing these New PDP saints join APC. EOD! |
Let' spice this up a bit. The way I see this process, the Admin want another MOD for this section for some reason. People have volunteered, some have been nominated, and some even campaigned relentlessly, yet a decision is yet to be made. It is reasonable to suggest that the Admin perhaps is looking for specific 'skill' set from the yet to be chosen MOD. I still think some of these people are capable of Moderating this section. My nominees are: (Male) Tomakint - available, and active Jmaine - capable, articulate, and available, and independent minded donphilopus - 'not perfect' but passionate for the role Londoner - Neutral, independent and very capable Ngozievergreen - savvy, witty, and very capable. I think the MODs job is a hectic, yet thankless task. Even if I want to serve as a MOD, I CAN'T do it for FREE. Seun doesn't respect his MODs because he doesn't pay them. Jarus, Ikenna, and Aishatu2 before them are just typical examples. So if Seun really want to turn things around for the better, he has to pay for the services of these MODs (according to the complexity of the section), and of course sets targets and deliverable. It's all in Seuns hand, he holds the aces. ***sits back and enjoy the squabble*** |
eagle, eye:lol. O'boy you wicked o. What do you want a General who grovel at the foot of a Major to say to the public? I am rather surprised that he hasn't taken some deadly pills. At topic, well done Jerry boy. You assassinated Ironsi and Fajuyi and defeated Biafra. please tell us what has become of your glorious country especially the North after all these years that you lurked around in the corridors of power. what did you achieve? |
PapaBrowne: I think smuggling would die the moment local rice becomes available in large quantities such that the price becomes cheaper than the smuggled brand. Smugglers would suddenly find it too expensive a business to engage in and automatically back out.No bros, Smuggling won't die, the direction will rather change. Nigerians will stop smuggling rice in, but the will smuggle it out or die trying. lol Nice work by the FG, nay, GEJ! |
Creation of Anioma state is actually long overdue. I think the entity and people that will comprise Anioma state will make it very viable. In the end balancing the number of state in the SE is also quite important because of it ramifications in geopolitics. South Easterners are well advised to look beyond their nostril is kicking against Anioma Stamp creation. The merit far outweighs the demerit. Personally, I care less which Zone Anioma is placed, I am more concerned at the moment about it's creation. |
Yawns, If such pact document ever existed, I bet 10 Naira that it is now history. Used perhaps to wrap roasted corn in one of the southern state. Or better still as an asswipe after a one good nature call. |
If indeed she is adept at giving candid advise, I think Barage needs her service. They need serious advise on the fate of the current 'surugede' dance, before the vultures swoop down on them. |
^^^ Good point Mike, David Mark will be doing himself and Nigeria a great disservice by simply saying 'NO' with providing an alternative. Nigerians want to have a say in how the future is going to be shaped. Sitting in his comfort zones and simply pointing to the constitution is pure nonsense. The constitution is made for the people, never the other way round. By the way, is David Mark no same fellow who was prancing around during the Yar Adua last days screaming 'doctrine of necessity'? Well, the SNC calls for another 'doctrine of necessity' and he better come up with something. Soon enough he might inherit the toga of cluelessness being shed by the incumbent president. The ball is in his court, and he's got to show some balls (pun intended). A 'populist' move in support of the SNC is expected from him by his Idoma people at the very least! |
I'll take any of the three and run with it. One technically guarantees the others. The sooner we sit down and decide the fate of the country, the better for all of us. We tarry at our own risk. If we miss the chance to convoke a sovereign national conference before 2015 that decides our future, we only hand the opportunity to non-state actors such as Boko Haram, MEND, MASSOB, OPC, and host of others to do it for us. I bet you, while the politicians might do it with long knives, these aforementioned groups will do it with AK47, morta, shell, RPGs, and IEDs. Let support GEJ proposed SNC to save the country from further sorrows, tears, and blood! |
Back to GEJ and his plethora of playing cards. I mentioned the Aces and Jokers as part of the cards available for the president and his strategists. Now this particular card (SNC) wasn't even part of my calculation. The SNC is no Ace or Joker, it's a Master Card. The makers of Playing Cards are well advised to add Master Card to their collection and perhaps called it the GEJ Card! Oga Jonah, don't look sideways in playing this card - full throttle ahead! Everyone by held by the jugular, we must restructure this entity for the good of it members. If Nigeria must cease to exist, so that our hindrance is removed, so be it. Opponents called this man clueless, yet he continues to dumbfound them with strategic moves. Who now is clueless? |
I recall a commentator in a different thread once said GEJ is playing his cards to quickly. My response then was that there are several cards in a playing deck - the Aces and Jokers inclusive. There is no point holding cards if you can't play them. Same response is apt for the occasion. The members of the National Assembly do not need diplomatic passports ab initio. I wonder who gave them such privilege in the first place. Though withdrawing it has political undertone, but the ordinary Nigerians will love such move. So, nice one GEJ. I expect the legislators to play the impeachment card soon enough - their Joker. But then such card will naturally be countered by several other available cards. Let this game continue. FRESH AIR till 2019. Haters should stand in front of train in one of the several new train track or hug a new transformer. |
