Look at their faces! Association of muslim bigots, and boko haram terrorist sympathizers! |
The ethnic party has merged with the terror party. I reserve my comment. |
I think the new mod should be careful with the way he does his job. User experience is as important as content, going around pulling the ban trigger at every turn will ruin it for most people, and will NEVER serve the intended objectives. |
It is unfortunate that it has gotten to this stage. But sometimes things get very bad, to the point of worse, before it actually gets better. I see no end to this crisis anytime soon, as Nigeria is not willing to do what is necessary - conveying SNC. Perhaps more commotion will trigger the necessary changes, not the cosmetic amnesty the put more money and guns in the hands of criminals and terrorists. I will certainly check on location of my immediate family and ensure they will be save. By the way did MEND just say they require the trio of Okah, Catholic Church, and CAN including other assurance to call off their threat? Will meeting any two of these conditions suffice? I want a free, fair, and just Nigeria, but I will embrace a divided Nigeria if that comes first! |
Osc: If UPN is serious they would definitely win some states in west cos there are so many core Awoist there there4 is that tendency to share west btw PDP ACN and UPN.Exactly what ACN is afraid of. Knowing their history, they would rather see Fasheun off to the great beyond, than see UPN resurrected. Unfortunately for them Fasheun seems to be playing the game with a copy of Tinubu play book. The next few months will be interesting; I'll keep a tab on this. |
ndu_chucks: Speaking from both sides of his mouth and telling listeners not to point it outHow does more fiscally viable, ethnically homogenous states negates the idea of true federalism. I doubt you even understand the concept let alone support it. Your mention of it is simply to distract from issue at hand; a shameful attempt to portray yourself in some positive way knowing fully well that your northern cabal will not willingly accept true fiscal federalism. hypocrite! |
ndu_chucks: I will not engage you in your awful generalizations which could be considered border line bigotry. My olodo friend, pray who started the 'generalisation' you referred to. Were you not the same crooked fellow who introduced 'you people' into the discourse? How could you turn around to vomit the crap in bold? In any case, my support for equal states per zone does not delimit in anyway my support for true fiscal federalism. But being the propagandist that you are, I expect you to suggest that both are mutually exclusive. |
ndu_chucks: Nwanne m, why are you constantly in an illusional state of war when the civil war ended decades ago. Its time we started looking at the best interest of the country in these matters. True federalism and resource control should be our goal. Unfortunately, new states creation works against that, why can't you people look at the national interest for once?By we people, let me assume you mean Igbos. Let me ask you, between the fellows moving out of his region in droves, setting up business, reducing unemployment, and improving the GDP and the ones terrorizing others, bombing security agents and their installations, destroying churches and killing innocent men, women, and children, who is looking at National Interest? Or simply put (as you have shown tremendous lack of grasps for semi-complex issues) between the hausa/fulani/kanuri boko haram terrorists (and sponsors/aids) and the hard working migrant enterprising Igbos who do you really think is looking out for the so call national interest? I don't expect a honest answer anyway, so take it as food for thought! In any case, the demand for equal number of states per region is solely in National Interest, but for your dishonesty and shameless propaganda, you wont admit that. |
This is not a matter of political calculus, its simple arithmetic here. ACN dies by attempting to go national like AD, UPN simply take over from them. The only snag is that ACN want to eat their cake and have it, but SW politics is never like that. Now they whine and cry like baby attacking anything that moves! ![]() |
ndu_chucks: I don't need any benefit my brother, I'm pretty sure you understand the point I was making. come o, couldn't you find somebody's head to attach to your post, preferably in colour graphics? My guy, I think the irrational folk here is you. Normally, I don't pay heed to your silly propaganda. You appear favoured today cos of the passionate plea you made for contributions to this post, and the benefit of the extra time I have to spare. So enjoy the fun while it lasts. But let me assure you, the issue of state creation is going to be a recurring decimal in our polity. That is what I wanted you blockhead to know. Alas, to much cow milk (or is it cow dung you take these days) seems to have caused a perpetual state of mental retardation in you, to the extent that I have to spell it out for you. Now olodo, hear me once again. If the NA went ahead and pass the amendment without any efforts to balance the Zonal arrangement of the state, your Northern cabal would have only succeeded in winning a battle, but the war is still on. Or you think this Pyrrhic victory is the end of Nigeria politics, you little blockhead! |
I think we need to move apart slightly to live together. I favour a fair, just, fair, and truly fiscally federal Nigeria. However if Biafra knock seriously on the door, and if it be within my means, I'll give a coin, time, and intellect to see her gain foothold. I see nothing wrong in wanting out of failed lab project of some silly folks. |
asala1: I believe it is the northerner and the SW who are suppose to be clamouring for states creation and not the SE. Some states in the north are bigger than the whole of SE. Kano state by land mass is bigger than all SE states put together. Kaduna state is a big as the SE. Why is it that it is the easterner that are feeling marginalised here?State creation is not, and should never be a function of land mass, or population. There are countries whose entire population is not even up to 500,000. The key to state creation should be ethnic homogeneity and viability. |
Ngwakwe: Better put, there is no reason South East should have lest representatives in the Senate, National Assemblies, Ministers, Federal Allocations and too numerous benefits to their populace which include more Universities, Schools, Hospitals etc.I don't think, the hordes think that way; the live of savagery and us versus them seem to be their favoured style. Despite all the so called undue advantage, they still manage to churn out more suicide bombers and almijiris than normal people. Well, it's Nigeria, nothing is ever cast in stone! |
azeezhy: . Quite agree with you, but don't you think these parameters would have been factored in? As much as future occurrence is not limited to an individual makes it more easy to predict... All that is needed is to consider every parameter which the individual relates with or is likely to relate with... If America could be spending billions on this project, then it is a possible venture and we should not throw away anybodies claim to have developed such.I disagree. The fact that other individuals and environmental factors help shape behavior and (re)actions in the short and long term makes it even more difficult to predict events at personal level; not easier as you suggested. For example I visit Nairaland. But can you predict with substantial level of accuracy what state I am in (as a result of other things I have done or read) let alone what I am going to post, and how my post is going to affect the reader, and how the individual is going to react to it. There are several factors play at every stage; and the factors could be spontaneous, unplanned, and purely accidental. How do you factor them in? My point really, is that it is pointless attempting to predict individuals whose freewill is often affected by genetic, emotional, and environmental factors, using a bunch of mathematical functions. |
In any case, I fail to see how denying the SE Zone additional state(s) by element of Northern conspiracy help eradicate illiteracy, poverty, disease, and now death ravaging the North. It's simply a case of misplaced priority. |
ndu_chucks: Here you go with your empty threats again. States creation will NOT be included in the list of items to be sent to states for votes and included in the next constitutional amendments. So tell us what else you plan to do about it besides empty noise making.Sharrap The only clown given to making empty threat in here is you. I wonder where you read that Ohaneze's submission the constitution amendment committee was not support by us. In any case, if what you posted is anything to go by, this position represents the Reps position. I know their seniors in the upper house my have something different to say. Enjoy your Pyrrhic joy while it lasts; Nigeria is basket case of disappointment in case you need any reminder. |
The importance of additional state(s) in the SE Zone cannot be overemphasized and I believe we haven't heard the last of this state creation issue. |
Everyone should calm down and let the boundary commission handle the matter. And eye for an eye makes the world go blind. |
More like tales by moonlight. To predict someone's future, you have to predict the (re)action of everyone and everything he/she will come in contact with. The future trajectory of a person is as much a function of the individual, as it is of the environment. You can't pick and choose! |
Omo_Tier1: When you know so little about a thing, you keep quiet and let those who are expert speak! First it was N300bn fizzled away without any accountability and when the experts said this was the wrong way to go about averting the collapse of the aviation industry, people like you called them names. You are simply a member of the fan club of the Resident Hypocrite and the retardeen choir. Who are the experts who condemned the bailout plan of the aviation industries - a bailout plan carefully structured by Central Bank? I suppose when folks like hear the term 'government bailout fund', your automatic response is that must somehow money has been fretted away without any sort of accountability. Perhaps what you should find out before shouting your voice hoarse is: how many airlines have drawn from the funds, how many have defaulted, and what is the government doing about default? Without these you really have no point. As for the Airport renovation you so deride, let me restate that folks like you are simply hypocrites driven by insidious agenda. In which planet is it wrong to carry out minor or major maintenance of public infrastructure? Same infrastructure that many complained are dilapidated due to poor maintenance culture! What breed of hypocrites is the country churning out these days? Some of you are utterly shameless. |
Biggyd2: I agree, others could continue from where Jarus stopped. From what I have gathered here, many people still want the debates to continue. I don't know if Jarus has expressed his disinterest in continuing with what he was doing before. However, if he is no longer interested, I would suggest that Seun or the politics section moderators make(s) a call for volunteers to continue with the debates. People could even vote to select the final forumites to oversee these debates. So long as the process is fair, I am of the opinion that it will be accepted by most people. Please if the debates will reduce the bad blood going on NL amongst our people, I am all for it. My 2kobo. Thanks.Seun and the MODs do not necessarily need to be involved in the planning or organizing the debate. Anyone with an above average amount of time to spare can take up the responsibility. Knowing the MODs very well, they will give their support in every way possible. But in all honesty, I think the importance of the debates are fairly overrated, and the number of people that want to see it continued is also overestimated. |
My people, Let's give Seun the benefit of the doubt, and Ikenna a chance to waive his wand. If (I have my doubts of course) 'tribalism' is routed, let the strongest and most adapted survive! |
That's comments from normal people and an airline operator. But we know of a certain minority group of sadists, led by the Resident Hypocrite, representing certain sectional and opposition interests, who will condemn these efforts as meaningless, just to score cheap points! Carry go Stella!! Let haters of the transformation cling on the wings of flying aircrafts! |
solomon111: Amala politics.I can't fit laff. Wicked!!! ![]() |
What exactly is wrong if Fasheun, Falae or any other person for that matter decides to form UPN, or any party at all for that matter? If anything, I think this move fits perfectly into the opposition party syndrome synonymous with SW politics. Tinubu's ACN normally should be the SW opposition party. Alas discerning SW politicians would rather not dine with the ilk of Tinubu, and his band of lying sycophants, not even with a long spoon. The expected reaction is to introduce another SW opposition party as Tinubu's ACN gravitate to center with their ill conceived merger arrangement. It is expected that the merger will meet the same fate as the AD/PDP merger of 2003 which led to the demise of AD and birth of AC(N). When ACN eventually go the way of AD, Fasheun, Falea automatically become the new power brokers in the SW courtesy of resurgent UPN, while Tinubu licks his fingers in retirement, exile, or jail. We know the drill! |
Another Pull Him Down thread. Some folks will remain perpetually sad! |
If my memory serves me well, when these boko boys wanted to infiltrate Kano they were discovered, exposed, and resisted by the vigilant people of Kano. Nigerians hailed the people of Kano for their resistance. Alas it was only a phyrric victory. Today the hit Kano almost at will. I hope I am wrong, but I sense a similar thing happening in Lagos. I don't know what agenda (beyond what is speculated by the media) that boko haram has in Lagos. But if it includes bombing targets, then it would be difficult to completely anticipate every possible scenario let alone preventing them. If/when Lagos is hit, beyond slaughtering a few hapless and indigent abokis in the SW by affected people (that's if the security agents will stand aside for this to happen) what other measure is Nigeria going to adopt? Amnesty is dead on arrival; anyone who could lay a hand on Ak47 or some automatic weapon will easily give such up for a princely sum whether he is a terrorist or not and perhaps buy many more with the amnesty proceed. Amnesty wont be accepted by the real boko haram. Ask MEND if in doubt. Vigillance and intelligeny gathering remains key in tackling the menace. The JTF should continue to wear them thin, smoke them out, and put them out of business. Throwing out a white flag only emboldens these terrorists. |
In the end folks who always seek to score cheap political points off every simple issue will be called out for the hypocrite they are. How could some people be so wicked as not to acknowledge efforts being made to reposition the aviation industry, even if it is as simply as airport remodelling and infrastructure upgraded. Should these wicked people not be accused of habouring ethnic sentiments or pure hatred for other hardworking folks. Why would someone arrogate the right to brand all ministers (including some very bright folks among them) as thieves and incompent folks? Is this not unreasonable hatred, emanating from some desperating evil, see-no-good mind? Why twist the news to fit and agenda when every objective eyes know that the bulk of the blame lies in the hand of the airline operator whose business models are faulty? One would expect the airline operators to take advantages of governmnent inputs to put more seriousness in their business. But rather than that we have cart loads of excuses why they are unable to deliver. Since the airlines have failed to grow their business by improving their fleet and services, if government weilds the big axe to prevent the proliferation of flying coffins, trust these resident hypocrites to flood here again in shameless dance, while thumping their chest as masters of objectivity. |
The report leaned more on the incompentency of the airline operators despite government best efforts to help the industry. Anyone noted how he carefully avoided where government intervention by means of fund injection and otherwise was overlooked. Unfortunately the Op would rather twist and turn it the other way round just to score cheap point and whip up sentiment against the hard working avaiation minsiter and current aviation industry transformation efforts. It's refreshing to note though that many are beginning to pay attention to the op and his ilk whose agende is simply to promote disaffection and whip up sentiment. I have long aptly termed him Resident Hypocrite and ACN laptop #1. Folks like him are dangerous breeds - slow but sure poison! |
ACN wants nothing 'good' for SW, they feel so insecure anytime something of benefit comes to anyone in SW not directly connected to ACN. Look at how they frustrated Adeole Mukilat from becoming the speaker; obseve them rail against Doyin Okupe daily. NOW THEY HAVE TAKEN THEIR MADNESS TO FASHEUN'S OPC WITH UNPROVEN ISSUE. Perhaps someone should tell them that SW does not revolve around ACN, no matter how much lies Lai can concoct. Em, by the way, when is MASSOB and BZM due for their own contracts/amnesty packages or we want them to start voilent campaigns first? |
