Waiting to see the other APC protest at ![]() |
Baboons on parade here; I hope the dogs join you soon. ![]() |
Within my domain, a sad experience occurred sometimes ago when an Igbo man, who owned a shop, was attacked and his shop burnt because his son was said to have torn a copy of the Quran. But upon investigation, I found out that a native of Anka, who was also in the same business with the Igbo man, deliberately roped-in the Igbo family. “He took a piece of paper with an IslamicTruth is powerful; you cannot contain it for too long. I am sure this is the same situation that befell Akuluka, Mr. Gideon Akuluka, an Igbo businessman, who was dragged out from prison and beheaded for a crime he never committed. Rumours has it that the present Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was complicit in the horrendous crime. Anyway, let's thank the Emir for siding with the truth. The solution to the boko haram crisis does not lie in amnesty. We should focus more on prevention of crime. Which better way to achieve this other than justice, fairness and equity. Members and sponsor of the boko haram should be fished out and severely punished for their crimes; they must never be rewarded for causing untold hardship to several families, and the society at large. Future occurrence can only be deterred by strong punitive measure. Nigeria is changing; and Goodluck Ebelemi Jonathan should stay course and never waver! NO to amnesty for cold blooded murderers of fellow countrymen; NO to amnesty for terrorists! |
Abegii, If African Peoples Congress meets the requirement and are registered there is nothing Tinubu or anyone for that matter can do about it. Tinubu/ACN should quit whining and do things properly. |
Looks like Anambra Governorship race is a battle of galaticos; a clash of titans. Soludo all the way for me, wish he could switch to APGA though. But all the same, he is the right man for the job! |
Sinator please wait for me, I am coming to move the motion for you. Look at his fat cheeks; boosted with salaries allowances they shameless awarded themselves. Nonsense attention seeker! ![]() |
Interesting revelation. I thought those payments ended with the death of the ex-boko haram leader - Yusuf. Sad that Northern leaders fell fpr this racket. FG should NOT boko amnesty. No negotiation with terrorists! |

Congratulations to all Catholic faithfuls. |
Timehin: See desperation cos of amnesty! My brother I tire oo. In any case, they have to prove they are the real boko haram. ![]() |
Perhaps they are auditioning for a Nollywood version of James Bond 007 Series. ![]() |
By the way, since we are talking about tribalism, someone pray say, which tribe 'dominated' the pardon list. Was Federal Character principle used? ![]() |
@OPC, So we should blame the Council of State for tribalism for granting the pardons? No problem, just let's know which tribe the Council of State belongs to. |
ifechez: the about to be commissioned plant in Aba is most likely Peter Obi's. D guy is doin great by his committment to ensurin an industrialised anambra and igboland at large. I also heard he has acquired general cotton mills and ekene dili chukwu motors premises both in onitsha.Any links to the bolded claims? |
Ngwakwe: When they Council of States were listing Nigerians to pardon, they completely skipped South Easterners for no just cause.lol. You know I was wondering what would have happened if the pardon list contained two or more Igbo men. I bet you will hear crying of 'Igbos are dominating pardon list' all over the place. Sadly while our brothers from SW secretly rejoice in the pardon of Diya, hardly would you hear them commend the gestures. Another angle is the blame being heap on GEJ as if he granted the pardon by himself. No one mention the Council of State, nor the composition. Some people are just hypocrites, and only look out for their own interest. Nigeria is an interesting concept. Anyway, back to the topic biko... |
Ngwakwe: Mr. Joyce Nkemakolam congratulations.Seconded. Though it is an interim appointed, by the virtue of the fact that he is the most senior. But I have no doubt that if he performs well in the interim position, it might juts be easy to get the nod for the job. I would join you in congratulating him, while urging that he performs his duties with diligent professionalism. |
Cassava is one crop that can kick-start our green revolution. It is also a money spinner. Kudos to delta state. I hope other states in the south take a cue from Delta State. |
goldylock: I read them well before hitting the submit button. Those bolded parts are for you to reflect on. What have muslims done for NigeriaWell said my sister, and well done. Some people will write trash and post them as facts! Facts verified by who? Were we not here the other day when resident in North were celebrating a Boko Haram operation. Would anyone celebrate 'success' of one they do not support? The single most important fact is the one you have articulated - Boko Haram is a reaction from Northern elements/elites for not getting the nod to oversea the consumption of the one billion Naira food, with the private jets to go with it. It is a reaction by sore losers, no more no less. And GEJ is right to deny them amnesty. Nigerian police station bombed in 'Boko Haram' attack |
HNosegbe: So we should impeach him and bring on who, Namadi Sambo? Will Nigeria fare any better under a Sambo presidency?Correct thinking. I wonder who folks who argue passionately for the impeachment of GEJ wants to lead the country thereafter. You impeach GEJ and elevate Sambo, what good does that do and what will change? Without any iota of doubt, GEJ will not only have his four years, but will have groundswell support should he run for a second term. FOI has been signed into law, Power is improving, trains are back, terrorism is being tackled heads-on, aviation is on track, and so much more. It takes a only a hypocrite and the worst kind of hater, motivated by ethnic, sectional, and partisan interest, to ignore all these, for the intangibles like the president's articulacy (or lack of it) and demeanor. Shame. |
Onlytruth: If it were someone else now complaining about Obasanjo's wasted years in office, some people will say he is whining.Abi oo, Mr. ACN Senator, raise the motion for impeachment now. Or are you waiting for us to do that on your behalf, while you collect fat allowance? mtcheeeeew |
@Op, I agree with you. And I think it's both a political and religious strategy to cow the president into submission. We know too well that the judicial system, which has also been infiltrated by the Boko Boys will give folks like Hussein Dei Dei a slap on the wrist and in no time, set him loose again like wolf among the sheep. One thing though is clear, those who destroy other on the way to success, will certainly meet destruction at the pillar of the success. That is how it works. |
Mr. Garri.:Where? Among the disgruntled or ...? Care to mention names? |
Facts? 10 opinion you mean? |
berem: A pardoned convict is always a convict. No matter what he does to be like a saint, his name will never be written in gold. It is only in Nigeria ex convicts dines with the president. isn't it a shame pointB?Frankly I do not know the bolded for fact. And I certainly don't see everything in black and white. I also happen to trust Alams more than Tinubu and Buhari, and I don't think you will mind seeing Tinubu and Buhari dining with GEJ. But I bet, you will say Tinubu has not been convicted in the Nigeria court, but does that make him better than Alams? |
As it's first act in power. I won't be surprised. But no need to debate that now, APC is not even a registered party, nor do they have a presidential candidate. |
Meanwhile South African Breweries has just opened a brewery in Onitsha and the market is quite large. They are expected to be a major beneficiary of the aluminum can project. They even have a ready customer. Synergy? ![]() |
