God's Mercy:
If we must compensate criminals, law abiding citizens and the victims should first of all be settled. It's becoming complicating each passing day. May God help us.
I agree with you.

We must necessarily takes measures to reassure the victims that their criminals will pay a price for their crimes. A warm hug and presidential handshake is no punishment.

In all honesty I hope those guys don't allow history to repeat again. They must be STRONG in their positions. Merely being in the position is not enough. sad
Seconded.

A pointless thread.

Tinubu eyes dey red oo. These boys should pay their tax to their emperor afterall they can easily increase their allowance to meet up. But shall 100k monthly as dues for political party members when normal folks barely barely survive on 18k minimum wage is no joke sha.
PoliticsRe: Implication Of Amnesty For Boko Haram Members. by PointB: 11:30pm On Apr 04, 2013
It simply means there is yet hope for MEND who are presently threathning fire and brimstone; and anytime MASSOB decides to shed their toga of none violence to adopt a more militaristic posture, it is incumbent for the president to grant amnesty and other things that goes with it.

A strange new world is about to dawn, let terror reign supreme!
PoliticsRe: Buhari - No Difference Between Boko Haram And Niger Delta Militants by PointB:
Yesterday was fools' day! Many bright people had to tap into their depth of creativity to come up with a fool's day prank.

But none in their wildest imagination can come up with what real fools do effortlessly for a living. Suffice to say, only the very king of fools himself, forged in the bowels of ignorance, will equate ND millitants' agitation for fair share of their resources and an end to environmental degradation, with the evil that is Northern Nigerian Islamic terrorism, whose quest for innocent blood is insatiatble. Only a fool's king in the mould of MumuNmadu Buhari can disgrace himself that way to sound intelligent.

Let him continue in his foolishness until it catches up with him.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Seun Osewa Stop Exploiting The "Yoruba Vs Igbo" Tribal Fights by PointB: 5:34pm On Apr 01, 2013
Does not been tribalistic mean to always be politically correct, at the detriment of truth? Does it mean living a lie; even in a faceless public forum?

If one cannot be himself in an annonymous forum, pray say, where can he/she?
PoliticsRe: 50% Of PDP Members Will Move To APC, Says PDP Bot Member by PointB: 6:49pm On Mar 30, 2013

Indeed. Incidentally, the mentality has changed. We hear it every now and then; and we see the assertions in violence across the north.

mekaboy: I am igbo, but things like this make me wonder what type of fools and illiterates we will have as leaders in the so called biafra.

I thought wars are planned in secret, what is this mumu shouting openly about.

We have fought a physical war and lost, why don't we fight mentally? Why don't we come together, gather our resources and transform ala-igbo into dubai at least.

That way whoever you perceive to be your enemies will come begging to serve u.
Nice points.

Same problem I have with some of these pro-biafran groups - lacking of stealth and finesse! War by it's nature is a matter of life and death, you don't show your cards before playing it, you just play them! Unless of course you are just bluffing!

With all these in the open, where is culpable deniability? What rooms for diplomacy and manoeuvre?

How can you call openly for volunteer when you already have members in the BZM? What sort of joke is this? Will UBA allow you to open an account for war effort? In which denominations - Naira or Biafran pounds?

Those who have access to these folks should call them to order, they are practically becoming a joke!

Unfortunately Murphy's law states that: 'If it can go wrong, it will (at the most inopportuned time). The security forces should also be planning contigency and containment should boko haram succeed in bombing the south.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: An Agenda Against The North, Hausa/fulani And Islam By Aminu Sarki by PointB: 8:31am On Mar 28, 2013
Boko Haram, aka Northern Nigeria Islamic Terrorists groupn, is a muslim agenda/jihad, led by a Kanuri muslim Shekarau against christians and moderate Islam adherents.

Op, stop grasping at straw with your 'alleged' and multiple 'Ifs'. Those who are at the receiving end of the bombs know exactly who the enemies are. If Christians want to start sh111t, they will bring down mosques, not churches
!

The Northern Nigeria Islamic Terrorists are simply acting out the script long laid for them by Dan Fodio and Ahmadu Bello to violently resist power change as the march towards the sea. A futile exercise, that will essentially destroy the undertakers!

If Orji Kalu has evidence of what he is saying, let him present such to the authorities or publish them in the media depending on whom he trusts.

Adopting the antics of beer parlour pundit doesn't help his already low credibility.
PoliticsRe: Police Intercept Bomb-Laden Car In Kano by PointB: 7:40pm On Mar 27, 2013
It's a good job nonetheless by the police.
Apparently the boko boys made a run for it immediately they noticed unusual movement (read police). Their bullets injury should be classed as bonus points for the police/JTF who have done reasonably well arresting/killing them in recent times.

Intercepting the weapons reduces boko haram capability in some way in any case.

Well done boys

PoliticsRe: Name National Library After Achebe: Reps To FG by PointB: 9:27am On Mar 27, 2013
What some of you folks say or think about this is clearly immaterial. Achebe became Biafran as a matter of circumstance. 'Things Fall Apart' was written in 1958 long before the first bullet of the Biafran was fired. His last work, the memoir, 'There was a country' remains his personal accounts of the Nigeria civil war - a war sane nation should have sat down to discuss and appreciate with the intention of forestalling a re-occurance. But in typical Nigeria fashion, the opportunity was missed. Even in death his works reminds Nigeria of their glorious and rich past, her mistakes, and ultimately opportunity to make amends. Alas again like Nigeria we rather pander to sentiments.

Naming the National Library in his honour is too little a token to show apprecitaion to this great man. How about Abuja Univeristy in addition, and of course only for starters?
PoliticsRe: Put A Muslim Soldier In Charge Of Operations Against Boko Haram-sheikh Gumi by PointB: 9:05am On Mar 27, 2013
This same cry that led to Azizi's exit and Dansuki emerging. What has the new NSA achieved so far?

I say stay course GEJ, the increasing gale of cries for amnesty by sympathisers and sponsors only mean they are worried their investments are going down the drain with increasing boko haram losses. Pay no mind to Gumi and his mind games.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Roads Are Getting Better- ABC Transport by PointB: 11:50pm On Mar 26, 2013
manny4life: All of you here are LIAR, which roads are getting better? These roads that were commissioned and built by OBJ, and the clueless fisherman wants to take credit? This is not GEJ but OBJ, let the shoeless reterdeen wake up and start his own works...

Lol grin grin
Obj ke? Well apart from the Onitsha-Owerri Road, Obj completed and commissioned the second niger bridge and several other power stations at a token fee of $16B. The roads in question were built by Abacha. Certainly a clueless fisherman cannot built any thing, he can't even complete any started by his predecessors. Lol

Where are the retardeen choirs when you need them? Hehehehe

mike404: You mean the NIGHT OWL that killed FUNSHO WILLIAM?
Verily, verily I say unto you, the fruit does not fall far from the tree. When a man is variously labelled 'traitor (atiku)', 'rebel (falae)', 'bastard (tunde bakere)', 'fraud of international proportion (ribadu)' et al by friends and associates, the negative possibilities are endless. The world cannot be wrong!
PoliticsRe: Afenifere Oppose Amnesty request for BOKOHARAM by Northern Elders Forum! by PointB: 9:25pm On Mar 26, 2013
Of course we heard the 'bastard' spoke the other day for his party of rebels and stooges, and colony of vampires. We heard him spoke, well, like a real homeless son, as Bakare described him.

Now we hear from Afenifere, real the voice of yooba leadership. And they are very much on point here.

Kudo Afenifere for joining well meaning Nigerians in saying:

PoliticsRe: A Northerner Must Emerge In 2015 Or Nigeria Will Divide - Lawal Kaita by PointB:
Eziachi: What motivates me is always trying to see thing objectively, based on reality. We all have our little prejudices or stereotype against others, just as they have against us, but the reality is that its not always the case.

An ordinary northerner's first care of the day is how to feed his family, just like those in the south. Its the elite that defines all the sentiments. If thats what you meant by promoting the north or Buhari. Well, I am afraid, you couldn't be more wrong.

I have always maintained that the problem most us southerners had with Buhari, especially since 2011 is simply that he is a northerner, a moslem, wrestling power with a southern/Christian Jonathan. Most things you guys says about Buhari is just motivated by this bias. If he was quietly farming his land in Daura, non of you will be bothered with him.

.
If you sit in your corner and pretend that most southerners simply oppose Buhari because he is a Northern muslim contesting against a Southern christian then I guess you are no better than those you criticize. Your argument stand on it's head when considered against evidence; it is certainly subjective to your own bias. Pray say, was late president Yar Adua not a Northern muslim, did he also not contest against some southern christians? Why was same accusation of bigotry, fundamentalism etc not used against him? How about Ribadu, how many have accused him of same thing buhari is roundly accused of?

It is obvious to me that you simply want to be right, while you allude the majority wrong on their principled opposition to buhari, while alluding to some unfounded theories to support your subjective preference. The realities, if you are really interested in realities, is that you are very wrong about buhari. He is, and will remain perpetually unelectable by his own fault, not by some southern elite conspiracy
! Unless you show evidence of this southern christian political elites conspiracy against every northern muslim politician.

You are right though in suggesting that buhari would be left alone if he retires to his farm in Duara. It will do him a world of good, as he clearly belongs to the class of leaders, failed or otherwise, who have brought the country to its present situation. Nigeria does NOT, and will NEVER need him to lead us to the next stage. This man who sees Abacha as as saint is not any messiah, his time has past!! The sooner you accept this simple reality, the sooner you have a better understanding of the groundswell of opposition against him, and his desperation for power. Channel your attention to something worth your dignity and maturity - a republic of Biafra for your grand children is more realisable than a Buhari presidency!

Em, where are they. Sultan of Sokoto, Ribadu, Hell Rufia, buhari, and other 'elders' of the north, over to you.
Go to the terrorists camps and convince the leaders to show their faces. Start with Shekau!
Do that NOW or forever hold your peace while our able JTF do what they do best.

Meanwhile, let me at this juncture be the first to ask for amnesty for MASSOB and Bakassi Boys (if they still exist). Not for what they have done, but for what they will do next!
