Well said Lt. Gen. Alani Akinrinade. Let |
Chrisbenogor: That's kind of disappointing, I was expecting you as an individual to tell me why. Delving into a discussion about these groups would only make us go round and round in circles trying to second guess their true motives. What are you rambling about understanding me. In what context are you trying to understand me? And which path is it you think I have chosen? Do you bother to observe at all? Are you sure you are not jumping into some bias conclusion at all? If you don't think my footnote/signature carries any message, then you have failed even before you commence your journey. In anycase, I don't spend a tonne of my time of Nairaland. I am a very busy individual. Read whatever meaning you prefer on any of my post, I careless. Whether you understand me or not is not my problem it is yours. Besides, your not understanding me is in my strategic interest! This is CYBER, not a place for my biography! Here is another guy who thinks like me: https://www.nairaland.com/1031157/nigeria-heading-disintegration-ex-defence-chief Perhaps you should go and interview him! |
@op Nice one |
Antivirus92: i thought i saw this ekiti bear or ekt bear somewhere speaking strongly against tribalism only to come here and post tribalistic stuffs. This is why you fools are called Yoruba.OILY BRAIN!You don't know these hypocrites, do you? |
Chrisbenogor: On the contrary I want to understand you. Do you love these other tribes you want to get separated from? What kind of question is this? Perhaps you should ask Boko Haram, OPC, Arewa, and MASSOB why they exist! If you don't know what you are dealing with, perhaps you should start your lessons here: https://www.nairaland.com/1027995/post-civil-war-indigenization-policy-far-reaching |
Akanbi_edu: Not to worry IgbotruthLol, So it's all about Niger Delta oil. Lazy mofos! ![]() |
Chrisbenogor: Do you live only around igbos or yorubas? And how exactly have I spread hatred? Or are you simply among the band of ninnies that suppose campaign for peaceful negotiation of nationhood or peaceful separation into different countries equates 'hatred' Or you just want to show yourself? Ok, I have noticed you. What next? |
Akanbi_edu: True dat. It's very embarrasing. Funny thing is, outsiders are not even going to recognise us as different people.Indeed they may not. That is why we have to strive harder to show them that Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaws, Hausa, Kanuri, Fulani, etc, all different people are a certainly better off in different country. What can be simpler than that?! |
Da infamous: simple,as long as Nigeria is concern tribalism will never die..it will die when everybody knows where they stand..Let them keep wasting their time. People don't want to live together, and yet some clowns are wondering why they tend to pull apart. OnlyTruth captured it well, when he called it 'mental retardness'! |
Akanbi_edu: Tinubu and Buhari were in greeting mode. Adeboye and Buhari were in greeting mode. Akande and Buhari were in a pose for picture (not relevant to the topic being discussed). Now the difference between Tinubu's posture and Adeboye has been explained to you and still you came up with this.Another bullcrap. How does this discussion aboutt Tinube ultra low bow (obeisance as someone put it) have anything to do with messing up Nigeria. When obviously Nigeria got twisted when your folks will look the other way when merit is trounced by ethnicentrism. Abeg face the topic, and stop grasping for straw, because, if Nigeria is messed up as you put, the fingers of blame is in the general direction of yoruba's treachery and undisputed cowardice, never our free spirit. Back to the topic, Tinubu, you guys are totally shameless in your pursuit of political power. I see no other way to explain why someone who went to negociate partnership on equally grounds will stoop dangerously low, like someone, currying favour from his senior. Only for full grown men, twisted, in some idea of cultural escapism, will want us to believe that it is normal. Tinubu could have achieve the same result with Adeboye's swag, or even Akande's toothy grin. Rather he went for that ultra low bow. Why didn't he do a full 'dobale' if he was promoting some culture! Shameless, power drunk, drug baron - Tinubu! |
sheyguy: Don't mind him, he threatened to start this thread because of another thread about Southern Cameroun voting against joining Nigeria which you started. What i actually expect him to deal with, was accusations from southern Camerounians that the Igbos where dominating them through corrupt means, thus prompting their choice.Define domination! I suppose that's what this thread is about? |
The truth is that we are better off in different countries, there is no point pretending about it. Those who feel offended by the 'truth' perhaps are better of living their ignorance away from Nairaland. This is CYBER! |
Katsumoto: The problem with you is that ethnocentrism and hatred prevents you from being rational and logical. And how exactly did you arrive at ethnocentrism and hatred? Are your projecting your weakness and bias or trying to deflect from the conversation by the regurgitation of entrenched view. The argument Onlytruth made was that of 'superiority' not 'seniority.' In other words, is it not remotely possible that Buhari sees something in Adeboye that set him apart and place him in a state that demands higher form of salutation other than what we saw in that picture. If anything, I like Adeboye's assured swagger, compared to Tinubu's crouching, almost beggerly, and shameless disposition. I wonder how can even negotiate a favourable term for himself let alone his party and SW after that assurance of servitude, captured by his crouch. |
Katsumoto: Thats a silly comment? You mean Buhari bowing in return to Tinubu (as shown in the picture) is silly as he is not Yoruba? Or it simply silly to bow to Adegboye/Akande rather than to Tinubu? Pls let me get it clearer. |
Katsumoto: The point has been made that Buhari is older than Tinubu and yet you commented on the differences between Tinubu's pose and that of Adeboye and Akande. My point was that both Adeboye and Akande are older than Buhari and as such CAN'T bow to him.Perhaps then Buhari should bow to Adebayo and Akande? Or...? |
This Malawian guy is indeed a one man army! What more can I say? ![]() |
centje: @PointB.PROUD_IGBO and myself appear to converge on several points. I also agree that 'Igbos' in South South and those in the hinterland can form solid and long-lasting strategic partnership. If only they do away with the divide and rule indoctrination which led some of them to sacrifice their commonwealth to 'thieves' rather than keep faith with their brothers whose only sin was - 'ambitious.' Sadly, it's only in Nigeria that 'ambition' is seen as a crime. That said, I also recognize the strategic importance of having large swath on ingenious Igbos in other zones. Blood, in the end, is always thicker than water! Anioma is Igbo! Keep them in SS or SE, it's win-win situation. |
emmke: So Mark is the best candidate that the middle belt can come up with. SmhHe is much better that several of the vultures circling the sky in the core north! |
curtain: There shud b limitation to each act of respect frm a reasonable person to an unreasonable person, respect is meant for those that deserve it morally and physically, if respect is not controlled then you wil end up givin it and regretin later, for instance respect is meant 4 elders bt nobody respects an elderly rapist. The question there4 is does buhari really deserve that respect considering the circumstances of the meeting or was it merely a show of hypocrisy by tinubu, buhari, a power drunked bigot who has threatened to flood nigeria wit blood if things fail to go his way cum 2015, did not show the slightest remorse to d victims of the post election violence on his behalf as expected frm him, it is needless to say that the call by boko dat Gej shud convert to islam is becus they missed buhari's presence as d c-in-c. Tinubu may b a theif bt i doubt if he has d impetus to consent in commiting massacre 4 power. Now if tinubu does not share the same ideology wit buhari then y does he hv to take his time to bow so low in dat manner as if he was congratulating buhari or praising him 4 a job well done. Oda times u see dis show of shame in africa is during assylum and here pussilamous tinubu trembling in fear b4 buhari. This shows that it is no longer a merger bt an acquisition or a forceful marriage, he shud tellsWell, said. Some hypocrites would want us to buy a different narration. |
Carry on Governor Mimiko, nothing do you! |
Reggie234: Historically, Nigerians don't like using coins in transaction. The evidence of that still stare us in face, my nephews and nieces have never seen one before! However, am not against the 5K note, but it should not be everywhere. It shouldnt be loaded into ATMs, cos an average person would not need it. N5,N10,N20 should also remain as note. There and then, inflation would not follow the introduction of higher note.So when you load it into the ATM, who goes there to withdraw, rich people? Guy, na wa o. |
Someone pointed out that re-denomination would have served same purpose. Why not try that? The whole exercise is even touted to gulp a whooping N40 Billion Naira. It's a misplaced priority. |
centje: I like your analysis. Its crystal clear that igbo needs a strong union to clinch the presidency come 2015. I believe ohaneze can champion that, making sure we are home and dry with our cousins in south south(at least they shuld reciprocate the support we gave them),then tap into the division in south west, and that between middle belt and rest of north.I doubt if Pat Utomi can even mobilise enough votes to win a Local Government Election in his ward. He only surfaces every election year and go into hibernation afterwards. As far as I know Amaechi is 'Rotimi!' |
Here is a man who is an epitome of loyalty and simplicity. The thing about the President’s critics is that they just cannot accept that someone with his simplicity can be their President. This is the Saul Complex. Saul could not accept the fact that somebody as simple as David could be favoured by God. And just like Saul threw the spear at David out of uncontrollable jealousy, these critics are out to throw any kind of spear to see which hits the target, hence all their lies about the President.Well said, Abati |
Mod, this informative thread deserves a space on the frontpage, pls see it done. https://www.nairaland.com/1027995/post-civil-war-indigenization-policy-far-reaching |
Funny observation. Anyway, I wont be part of the gang-up to deny a man his special joy in garri, in any form! ![]() |
centje: I quite agree with you. I also prefer anioma. But getting the three may nt be possible. Only Two states where proposed to balance the disparity. There is nothing impossible, we can have all three states and more. It's all about trade and barter - politics. As for GEJ not being the PDP candidate, the question is who will stop him? The North with their boko haram disarray? The SW with their current Obj vs Tinubu leadership crisis? I mean Obj anoints candidate A, Tinubu is negotiating alliance with candidate B, yet some claim SW is united? United indeed, maybe Liverpool! ![]() If we push out GEJ by force, it will only play into the hands of SW/Core North alliance. The only person who can stop GEJ from re-contesting in 2015 is GEJ. SE and NC will continue to play it cooly, while Buhari will continue to listen to Tinubu to his detriment. Meanwhile, the shouting match between the core north and South South will only get louder, with little or no result. In any case, if GEJ is not running in 2015. Sullivan Chime has the qualities to be the Igbo PDP candidate. Until this arrangement Rochas may have to suppress his presidential ambition. On the other hand, if Chime is not interested or did not get the nomination, Rochas candidacy should be on the lips of every Igboman, woman, and children. However, if we must vote for another candidate outside SE for 2015, the most strategic partnership should be with NC. David Mark/SE presidency readily comes to mind here. So our worse case scenario should be David Mark/ |
centje: Umuigbo, what are your opinions on these issues raised? If he (GEJ) runs again, our support will be based on progress report on second Niger Bridge, status of Enugu International Airport, Onitsha River/Sea Port, Ibaka Seaport, East-West Road. The power situation is already settling down into a welcome rhythm, thanks to his (GEJ) foresight in appointing the right person (Barth Nnaji) for the job. Speeding up those project will help his cause. So far, GEJ is handling his job marvelously well, despite propanganda by the SW Media and the almajiri blood lust. For the new states been advocated, though Anioma is my favorite, I want all three! |
Let's take a closer look again at the two men in that picture, and again ask why is this picture on the frontpage? Why is is generating so much controversial attention? The answer is simple: the picture is unnatural!! Let's analyse it further. These men are in talks about possible mergers of their political parties. On the ground AC.N seems pretty much larger and stronger than CPC. It has wider reach than CPC. While CPC parades an ex-president, and ex-presidential aspirant Buhari as its leader. The CPC, though controls few states nonetheless has many sympathetic to its leader among the core northern population. Under such circumstance, the merger should at the very least be that of 'equals.' A slight bow from both men and a handshake would have aptly demonstrated this, while mutual respect would have still been accorded. But Tinubu crouch is not only unnatural (it is not a bow, nor a 'dobale'), it depicts a man who is willing to do anything to achieve his ambition. It smacks of desperation. What's more? It is a act of surrender of will, purpose and leadership to the 'tall one.' Slice and dice it anyhow you want, body posture and message specialists will arrive at the same conclusion. Even Buhari himself find it (Tinubu's ultra low bow) flattering, if not amusing, that he's got Tinubu on a platter of gold. If the picture could talk, you will hear him giggling, we could see it in his face already. Shock and surprise is written all over it Buhari's face. Bottomline, Tinubu could have achieve even better result by a slight bow, unless of course Buhari is been set-up ala Ribadu style. I smell a traitor! |
Dhelake: This is our main prob .. We keep sayin who cares ... Maybe wen of ur loved ones or even u gets blown... Then u'll careAgain who cares? If the fellow can solve the problem but would rather wait until his region and people are utterly ruined why should I cry more than the berieved? So that is the main problem, foolish people hanging around aimlessly while their region is consume by hate and fanaticism. |
