jmaine: As a proud member of the laptop squadMy guy, Stand proud and tall! You belong to the winning team! Team GEJ! Fresh Air!! Slow but steady wins the race! ![]() |
Kia, this 'shoeless fisherman' will end up doing what the 'born to rule' and 'intelligentsia' could not even dream of achieving. No wonder they threaten him with bombs, and impeachment, and resignation calls. Moral of the story: A 'shoeless fisherman' is far better an achiever than a 'born-to-rule', and 'intelligentsia.' Success and achievement is not measured by swagger! Kudos team GEJ. Fresh Air! PS: If you don't like my comment, pls ignore it or go swing on a power transmission line. ![]() |
Let's look at it from another angle: Rochas: Imo State will continue collecting Federal Allocation forever. Is this what we want him to say? Is this the kind of mentality we would like to carry around with us? Guys, here is a Governor, 'loudmouthed' or not, who is trying to set example to other governor on the need to look beyond Federal Government for sustenance. Why do we need to bad-mouth him? Planting three palm trees by every individual in Imo State looks a little far-fetched, but the dream of self sufficiency is not! Rochas has identified palm trees/palm oil as one of the path that leads to self sufficiency (the Indonesia and Singapore model). Rochas will not be the Governor for ten years, but suppose the next Governor is 'crazy' enough to believe and pursue this agenda, what do we think will happen? So instead of slating him, let's ask other Governors what plans they have to make Federal Allocation surplus to the requirement. An Imo State independent of the Feds allocation is Rochas' vision, let's hear from the other Governors! |

Demdem: Good work Nnaji. If this is indeed so. However we still have a long way to go and the process seems to be slow, we arent inventing any new thing afterall.I am also interested in transmission line. Though the text quoted below gives us an idea that something has been done about transmission, I hope for more information. Still, good work Mr.Barth Barth Nnaji, and GEJ! The good news is that every power generated is wheeled comfortably. In August, 2010, when Nigeria generated for the first time 3,800MW, the system collapsed within a few minutes because the transmission infrastructure was poorly maintained. |

So we sack the 'clueless' PDP and replace them with 'forgers' ACN and terrorists CPC? Hell NO! |
manny4life: LOL.... Here come another broken record, chai,,, may it be well with you. As for your curses, by the power of God, I hereby return ALL OF THEM in one billion folds, it will hit you/strike you/destroy you beyond limit. So shall it be IJN, AMEN.Amen brother! |
Mr.chippychappy:So Igbos should stay away from a civil war going on in our backyard? And when the 'federal forces' defeats a 'breakaway Niger Delta' republic, and force 'them' back into this unproductive union, we will emerge from our side of the fence 50 year later, trade places with the Ijaw, and start singing 'had I known.' My guy, the reason history serves as a guide is so that we don't repeat the same mistake. Standing aside, and watching, aboki slaughter people in our backyard, in the name of some sweet revenge, is the worst that can ever happen to us. The sad thing is that you are not reading the signs of the time - middle belt, and bulk of Yorubas' will not fight the next Nigeria civil war, if there must be one. Standing shoulder to shoulder with Ijaws is enough to stare down the rampaging 'jihadist.' We need to bury the 'differences' with Ijaws caused the civil war. Now is the time! Igbos silence at this tiime, should not be interpreted as sign of acquiescence to the shenanigans happening around us. When the push turn to a shove, our backyard shall not be a theater of war. If it does, we shall not stand aside, or count on any concession aboki will offer us in exchange to betray our cousin. I just read 'Awolowo was promised "Presidency" how come all I heard he got was 'poison'? |
Mr.chippychappy:Are you saying your father's farmland should be used as military camp/corridor for rampaging abokis, and while you are at it, damsels from your hamlet will also attend to the soldiers of fortunes 'other' need? Or you are suggesting Igbo men will be part of the 'Nigerian Federal' troop that will march against Ijaw, to die for Nigeria? Guy, think deeply, any major conflict in Nigeria is the end of it, and only cowards sit by the wall with pop-corns, when their future is being determine! Igbos are no such people, if there is a war in Nigeria in our backyard, we will be involved! |
Obiagu1: It bold faced is impossible!Spot on my brother. Our quarrel with Ijaw is settled. Observers only have to look at the 2011 election to see that. Besides, is it possible for the North to fight Ijaws without hurting Igbos. I think not. So that yeye aboki better be doing his arithmetic correctly, his is either fighting the entire eastern region or not fighting anyone. Military corridors in SE to attack the Ijaw is BS, only an aboki can conjure such stupid.ity! They can talk to the SW (as I don't pretend to speak for them)! |
jmaine: The 120:50 ratio got me laughing hard. . . . .Their over confidence plentyNa so we see am. I believe he dug that ratio from his hairy arse! ![]() |
Aigbofa: You are a retar.d. I thought a sensible person would ask when and where these events took place, but no. I guess that is too much to ask of a people with the reasoning capacity of a house cat.Shouldn't you have directed your anger at the topic/Alhaji Usman Faruk. Why is that some of you guys will rather pick fight with the 'normal' people, while those that twist facts, and provoke you directly, you have no harsh words for. I tire o. Abeg no insult me sha! |
ozalogbo: The Bible advises that before u go to war, you must sit down and count the cost. Asari Dokubo and the rest beating the drums of war must sit down and count the cost. The truth is that if there is war today, it is going to be between the North and the Ijaws. I dont see the Yorubas joining the Ijaws. The Ibos might as well betray the Ijaws. In fact, it might turn out to be pay back time for the betrayal during the Civil War. It is convenient now to lump the Ijaws, Urhobos, Itsekiris, etc as the Niger Delta, but in the event of a war, i dont see these tribes fighting to save the Ijaws. The Urhobos have been angry with Jonathan that his govt has not benefitted them in any way. And so have the Itsekiri, especially with regards to political appointment and the implementation of the amnesty program. Those calling for war must sit down and count the cost. And for those banking on foreign military aid, they should also be ready sign out at least half of their God given wealth. Remember Bakassi. How would the North fight the Ijaws? Let me guess, another 'military corridor' all the way from the North, through the SW to Ijawland? It's not going to happen. I think this sabre rattling is good; it will only lead to another round of talk. And historically, I doubt Igbos will 'betray' any SS group in times of conflict. It's either we are in or we are not! Beside, I think it's actually in SE interest to see Nigeria restructured - in war or in peace! |
“Eventually when the war was to start with Biafra, [Awolowo] went to Ibadan and gathered all Yorubas that they should know the war about to commence was between the North and the East, and the Yoruba in the West were not part of it,” he said. “We received this with shock and the whole Northerners met in Kaduna and we issued them a warning that we heard they (Yoruba) were not part of it and we agreed but we have one demand,” he said. That condition, according to him was the establishment of a One Mile Corridor. “From Offa which is in our region, from the rail line to the sea (wharf) we declare One Mile Military Corridor, meaning all of them who built houses within One Mile, we will crush down their houses. And nobody will stop our vehicles and vessels from accessing the sea, this we told our Yorubas in Ilorin to tell them. And from that time we never hear them. This is Military Corridor, we of the past hope our children will carry it,” warning that nobody could stop the people of the North, whom he said number 120 million, from accessing the sea.I don't know if this is a crude attack on Awolowo, or a veiled warning at the Yorubas of SW. But one thing I thinks it's rather strange that this issue is brought to fore in this manner. The Northnern leaders of thought are getting desperate, and making mistakes! Of the elders, he then noted that they were the ones that fought the civil war. “We conquered them including their Bayelsa and gained victory, the answer I will give him is he is not the first to fly the kite.”Is this guy saying that conquered Bayelsa/Ijaw on their own? No help, not collaborator. |
Other components of the foreign debt were used to fund the Bus Rapid Transit BRT/Lamata, LMDGP/slum clearance, LAWMA/waste management, and Eko education fund.Shameless admission! The borrowed money from external sources to the tune of $500 million to: - demarcate road for BRT buses (the buses are owned by private companies) - Clear slum (demolish Makoko) - Clear rubbish waste - invest in Eko Educational fund (including hiking LASU School fees) The question is what is the real cost/value of these investment, vis-a-vis the huge investment in them? Something just don't add up here, the |

Activa: Pointb, answer this one firstIf you check the previous page, you will realise that Pukkah's comment has been answered. Perhaps, I should added that objectivity and Tinubu's ACN are mutually exclusive events where some these supposedly objective people are concerned. And if your concern is about the N1.2 trillion, then I should perhaps remind you that I am only interested in the topic of this thread - Bola Tinubu Releases N30billion To ACN Candidate, Akeredolu To Unseat Mimiko |
Lagos State Government is a big fraud! How can a state with over 20 billion naira in IGR (exclusive Federal Allocation) be indebted to the tune of over 500 million dollars, and all we hear is "Lagos is not broke!" Asked them what has been achieved in the past 3 years, some clown will tell you BRT, and Beautification! Isn't it interesting that such with IGR, Federal Allocation, and External debt, several roads are impassible (especially in the mainland), and when it rains, you need canoe or raft to get out of your home! What has become of huge tax collected from hapless Lagosians, and Federal allocation? Did the spend it in keeping Okada of the road? Or do you need such huge investment to remove Agberos from the parks? Was the money invested in Law makings? Bottomline, I am yet to see where Lagos state revenue is invested. Perhaps, Fashola has invested Lagos State Tax Payers money in emperor Tinubu. |
jason123: Nice one Rochas! A solid relationship between the two states will be good indeed. Rochas, being the only APGA governor, clearly is the progressive among the SE governors.I agree with you on the bolded. But pray, how is Rochas the ONLY APGA Governor? Which party is Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State? ![]() |
D'Vanguard:I agree with you that many people find it very hard to think these days. I suppose thinking as art has been thrown to the dogs, while some humans have taken to sycophancy and butt licking, as a full time preoccupation, ignobly swapping roles with puppies. Or how can we describe a situation, where people talk about infrastructural job to be done in Lagos, without actually pointing at what has been done, with the over 20 billion Naira monthly IGR, let alone Federal Allocation, and then the 500 million dollar external debt. Guy, I smell a big fraud here, and forgive, if I can't look beyond the frog-like eyes of the certificate forger - Tinubu! Again forgive me! The point is that, those who actually put their brain to work will realize that the monthly revenue, allocation, and indeed the external debt profile is enough to turn Lagos state to a model city, not the jungle we see everyday in almost every facet of Lagosian lives. Lagosians have been short-changed, and that's and understatement. Can someone point out any major work done in Lagos state in the past 2-3 years? Guy, forget Ondo state for a while, take out the sentiments, analyze critically, and answer honestly: What has Fashola done for Lagosians in the past three years with tax-payers money, federal allocation, and foreign debt in excess of $500 million? Is there real value for money spent? That is my question, not what he will do! If we can't lay hands on any tangible achievement in this period, why should we argue (with sentiments) that 30 billion naira, which is less than 2 months Lagos IGR (exclusive of federal allocation and external debts) cannot find it's way into electioneering - this single most important occupation of emperor Tinubu, the fraud? |
I rather GEJ give the job to a qualified guy from the SW or a christian from NC. Personally I see no major difference between Dansuki and Azzazi, Boko Haram still bare their fangs relentlessly. |
Myself2: Who will save Lagos from this grand criminal??This is the question every and well meaning Lagosian, nay Nigerian, should be asking. Imagine a party touting progressivism as mantra, electing to enthrone a well-known criminal as leader and face of the party all because he has tonnes of stolen wealth to throw about; and also because the government at the centre lacks political will to prosecute and shove him in cage where he belongs. This criminal, Tinubu, continues to dip his hand in Lagos state coffers, shameless and arrogantly while the governor (fashola) lacks the balls to stop him, afterall he was 'handpicked' by same criminal Godfather. The saddest thing is that some clowns and established resident hypocrites are shameless brandishing crumbs thrown at them from the emperors high seat as evidence of giants stride, rather than saying the truth. Across the countries, some states which are less favoured in monetary terms have surpassed in no small measure such 'achievement' of Lagos state measured in the same time frame as that of criminal Tinubu empire and his stooge Fashola. Lagosians open your eyes and ask questions! With over 20 billion Naira in monthly IGR and over 500 million dollars in external debt, what has Lagos shown for it? Street flowers? BRT buses owned by private companies? What exactly has been done? Or is just about Tinubus lions share and politicking and some expensive birthday? Perhaps until AC.N and Tinubu's empire is dethroned from their seat of deceit and criminality in Lagos, such questions will remain unanswered! |
Akanbi_edu: Tinubu is on a mission to save people like you from foolishness. You must be saved because you know not what you do.Perhaps we can discuss my supposed folly after you successfully dig your tongue out of Tinubu's stinking arse! |
Pukkah: Do you honestly believe in this N30b story? I agree that politics is expensive in Nigeria but come on, N30b is obviously a lie.I don't know why you think the 30 billion naira election war chest story is a lie. When clearly the like of Tinubu are as dangerous and fraudulent as they come. With his fingers pepertually in the Lagos state cookie jar through his various schemes, it is hard not to believe this story. Since believe is personal, especially in the absence of hard evidence, on can on judge by past history. And Tinubu's past is shrouded in ignomy of identity theft, drugs, certificate forgery, perjury et al. To think this character is incapable of this, is the peak of selective amnesia or hypocrisy. As for the Lagos state IGR, I earlier clarified that the figure is in Naira. I have edited my original post to reflect this. And clearly, this is not about FG or GEJ. |

Akanbi_edu: See desperation. cheiSensible people know, no state earn IGR in dollars, and would off course know I meant over 20 billion Naira. AC.N might be on a laudable mission like you claim, I am only worried about Tinubu's mission of greed and sleaze. Deny it all you want, Tinubu is a fraud! |
dasparrow: Where do these Nigerian politicians get this kind of money from? This is why there is so much poverty in Nigeria because the money the country has is concentrated in the hands of a few people such as these politicians. In the case of Tinubu, I surmise it's Lagos State looted wealth. Otherwise how can we justify that a state with IGR of over 20 billion naira monthly is the one with the highest external debt? Yet, there is nothing of worth to show in terms of government investment in the people. While a state with less revenue is trying to make education less expensive for it's citizens, Lagos state is raising the cost of education to the sky (LASU) and demolishing homes and markets to allocate the space to the cronies. The truth is that Lagos State is a big fraud, and emperor Tinubu is the beneficiary. Until AC.N is removed from the administration of that state, the sleaze perpetuated by Tinubu with the connivance of saint Fashola will remain covered. Tinubu is robbing Lagos blind; yes he can invest 30 billion to increase his thieving empire to include an oil producing state. |
Now that El Rufia has confessed the reason for his increasing stupidity, by blaming his friends and associates as clueless, I roundly agree with him. I also express my sympathy, and hope his new found truth will help his solve his problem of mental 'derangement' |
