The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 46-
year-old man, Morris Ndidwe, for allegedly raping
his 11-year-old daughter and for impregnating a
neighbour’s daughter.
According to reports, Ndidwe’s wife alleged that
her husband had made several attempts to
have carnal knowledge of his 11-year-old
daughter in the past before the last one that
landed him in police net. She claimed that her
husband’s behaviour had made her quit the
marriage initially and that she only returned
after several appeals and an assurances that he
had turned a new leaf.
She said, “I initially moved out of my
matrimonial home after my husband
impregnated a neighbour’s daughter.

“My daughter always told me what she went
through in the hands of her father whenever I
was not around and when I confront my
husband, he will deny every bit. One afternoon,
I returned from church and caught him with our
daughter. Again, after much pleading, saying he
will stop the act from that moment, I relented
on my resolve to quit the marriage.”
Ndidwe’s wife added that the last straw that
broke the camel’s back was the event that
transpired recently.
She said, “A few days ago at about 9pm, my
husband drove me to the church for a vigil. He
was alone with our children. The following day
when I returned, my daughter told me what her
father did to her. When I decided to check her
private part, my husband refused and almost
beat me, but my neighbours intervened.”
Punch reports that the victim has asked the
police to prosecute her father, saying she
wanted him jailed because he might do worse
things to her.
The state Police Commissioner, Alkali Baba
Usman, who confirmed the arrest of the
suspect, said he had made useful statements to
the police and would be prosecuted and charged
to court as at when due..

The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said Chief Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was spending his last days in office as Governor of Rivers State.

The party was reacting to the statement credited to PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, who was quoted to be talking about the failure of PDP and INEC counsels to appear before the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal on Friday, September 18: Metuh said, “Even if our lawyers and witnesses didn’t appear at the Rivers Tribunal today and the remaining days, it doesn’t stop us PDP from winning at the judgment. But should we fail at judgment, we shall win even above 1.5 million votes in Rivers State re-run Governorship and other elections.”

Rivers APC in a statement issued Monday in Port Harcourt and made available by its Chairman, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, dismissed Metuh’s position as mere day-dreaming.



The party said: “While we do not wish to comment on the likely outcome of the current sitting of the Rivers Guber Election Tribunal since the case is sub judice, we find Chief Metuh’s position laughable because the evidence before the tribunal indicates that Chief Wike is spending his final days in office as Rivers State Governor. Just like PDP, we as a political party are equally eagerly looking forward to a re-run of the Rivers State governorship election. Contrary to the empty boast of Metuh that PDP shall win even above 1.5 million votes in the envisaged re-run elections, we make bold to tell him that PDP died in Rivers State the day former Governor Chibuike Amaechi in November 2013 led all those who mattered in the party to join the APC and take a front seat in the vanguard for Nigeria’s political emancipation. We are convinced that our candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, shall win the expected re-run guber polls with a landslide as he has the full support of the good people of Rivers State.”

According to the statement, Rivers APC sympathizes with Chief Metuh in his difficult new role as an unprepared spokesman of the opposition, telling him to prepare for a big shock as Wike can never be elected by the Rivers State people in ”any free and fair election devoid of violence, killing and rigging as Rivers people do not only know him but also know what he stands for.

“Instead of dreaming of winning the envisaged re-run election, we expect him (Wike) to explain to the world how he intends to defend the over 100 Rivers people that were murdered to install him as Care-Taker Governor of Rivers State by greedy INEC REC, Dame Gesila Khana, and other corrupt INEC officials who cannot defend their immoral and illegal actions of 1.5 million acclaimed voters is bigger than 273,000 accredited voters in the Register.

“To us, the Biblical book of Hosea Chapter Eight Verse Seven, ‘For They Have sown the Wind and Shall Reap the Whirlwind’ captures the inescapable fate of Chief Wike and his collaborators. They have no one else to blame but themselves, for they have sown the wind and shall reap the whirlwind.”

A close friend of mine discussed this issue over the weekend. He said he needs an urgent advice so I decided to bring it up here. This is his story.
Michael (not real name). 28 years has been in a relationship with this girl for four years. According to him they are actually planning to get married next year. The girl in question resides in the states (united states) and she's working and also schooling there. But every year she spends her holidays down here in Nigeria, it was during one of her holidays that Michael met her. To cut a love story short they both fell in love, so much in love that the decided to take there relationship to the next level. Michael is a banker and he wants to settle down with this girl. According to him he has done a formal introduction to the girls parents and the agreed to accept him as their in-law. They have even fixed there wedding sometime next year after his fiancee graduation. Now he has a serious problem, during her last visit to Nigeria last month Michael noticed something different in her. He said that she suffers from chronic mood swings and sometimes extremely depressed. At first he wasn't bothered because he said that when they started dating initially he saw those traits in her but waved it off as her normal behaviour And he also said that it only happens to her whenever she's angry or the have a little bit of quarrel. But this her last visit revealed otherwise. This time according to him she gets a bit violent and needs a powerful subduing before she calms down. Then to his greatest shocker he noticed some pills she takes, when he went online to search what those pills are for he discovered it was for patients with Bi polar disorder...
Now my friend is really confused he doesn't know what to do. He truly loves this girl but he's afraid of her behaviour and since they're planning to get married there's no going back. What suitable advice can we give him because this is serious.
