Senator Dino Melaye has sent a petition to DSS and he said he is going to New York court for Cyber stalling. Probably he wants to disgrace himself there because they don't recon with Prevaricators
PoliticsA Close Look At Senator Dino Melaye NYSC Certificate by ponpon(op): 4:33pm On Mar 28, 2017
I have been following this issue surrounding the senator representing Kogi Senator Dino Melaye but what really struck me is his level of confidence and audacity even after he spills lies.

There's no doubt that there are a lot of paid social media warriors who would probably live forever and have sold their conscience.

A close look at our Senators NYSC certificate should reveal some things.

1. His call up number carries 99 but he started service 2000 according to him.

2. The date underneath shows 2000, and another edited version shows 2001.

3. Do people pass out on a Sunday? Check the passout date.

4. He posted that he was in camp in 1999.

Leta forget his havard and LSE lies. This has further weekend my hope for this country. The rich gets away with everything and anything

A picker is someone who sometimes doesn't know he/she is in the middle of a scam and helps a scammer send money to his most preferred location. A picker can be a client who refused to pay, a client who has been exhausted, a client who is greedy and maybe collects percentage. Usually a picker doesn't know he is a picker until he gets caught.

Amofum, Time2Smile, Miella and so on - thanks for the mentions and well-wishes. I am still here like y'all waiting in bated breath.

Amofum, I am surprised at the rejects as you have a strong profile but sometimes I think "weaker" schools reject strong applications because they intuitively fear that you would not even honor the admission if it was offered to you. Maybe that's just me consoling myself but who can say?

I am optimistic we would be raptured in this application cycle like our comrades in the race. Time2Smile's case is different because his profile is on steriods. grin

Congrats to Shayune and other person who has received either an acceptance or funding. As for those who only have the former, keep sending emails to all constituted authorities involved explaining to them your plan for graduate study which must include aiming for a doctoral position (even if it doesn't). You must bait a fish to catch it.

I'm hoping faithing to share my success stories with you guys. Word to Andradaeze. wink

Ciao.

Edit: Ponpon where is you at? What's the latest?
still on it sir, honestly I've stopped sending mails to faculty. Sent one ending of last month. I'm waiting for other decisions although I have submitted my CV for 2 administrative GA positions at LSU

happyday:
So, after a while of posting here, I would like to share what I've learned and unlearned since coming to America.

First off, if you think I should have been more open and carried everyone along here, you're probably right. But not everything is as they seem. I, personally don't believe I've done something extraordinary, and it has been a dream all this while. I've always felt better applying my experience to help others, and not just tell them what I did. Cos I believe our mileage might vary.

Be that as it may, if you're still excepting admission/funding decisions, the application season for Fall 2017 is (almost gone) or gone for most schools, and the best you can do now is wait. Patiently. Most graduate admission committee members are also professors and lecturers who have classes to take, conferences to attend, presentations to make, proposals to write, and a bunch of other activities not related to research or their field.

Worse still, you can continue to remind them. If you can't settle, keep sending them emails to remind or inquire. They've been there, and would generally understand. Contact them within reason of course. No foul language or desperation. Only make sure it's to the right person (see; grad prog co-ord, or to your proposed advisor, if you have one already).

Moving on to my story, though I've started looking at post-BS options, it was my undergrad thesis advisor who encouraged me to write the GRE, as soon as I can. I took the test during my NYSC. It was a paper-based test in Benin. I went into details here: https://www.nairaland.com/1832477/how-achieve-high-scores-gre/47#40778602

tl;dr: I had 157/157/5.5. I was dissapointed. Let's just say I learnt a key lesson that day to always plan for eventualities. It was in November, and already planned to retake, after NYSC. I selected UArk, Purdue and two others, cos I loved the way they sounded! In short, for all intent and purposes, the first was an attempt. To prepare for the real 'thing'.

Or so I thought. Coming out of NYSC into an already jaded labour market, I grabbed the easiest job I could find. Just to not stay at home. My take-home couldn't take me anywhere. In case you're wondering, it was less than $30 a month. Which would definitely mean re-writing the test was a dream. Or writing the TOEFL. Or sending scores to WES. In short, everything I've always thought goes into a grad school application.

The cash I didn't have, I made up for it in time. Anytime I wasn't at work, I was always online, looking for ways to 'make sense' of my 314 GRE score. With no TOEFL.

Hence, I knew I needed an SoP as awesome as it can get. LORs that took the writers time to write. And a convincing story on why I wanted to do research. Not just 'study' in the US.

And for the next 6 months after my April passing out, I managed to do all of those. Such that by October, I knew I would be coming in the Spring for an MS in Bio Engr with full funding at LSU. I don't know how others do theirs, but God did mine.

Though I practiced with likely visa interview questions, I spent less than 30 secs with the Asian guy, before hearing those 'golden words'. I was more stressed up that day with the endless security checks by the actual interview.

Moving here was another another experience.

Not to talk of settling down here; getting used to the American English, adjusting to the laid-back academic settings here, understanding the nuances of American dating (and possibly getting a girl friend) . . ., opening bank accounts, getting an SSN, and actually starting research.

Damn, I gotta stop here!

Cheers!
nice one Boss... Tap from your anointing....

Why do you want to verify by post when it can be done via that same email you want to avoid reaching your registrar? It's so simple. Put a call through to WES asking for the date a verification email was sent to your school/registrar. That's what your registrar or whoever is in charge of the school email needs to find your WES email quickly and respond. I understand how expensive it is to call WES from Nigeria because it takes time before the call is answered. You can pm your WES ref # and I'll call them on your behalf.
Call wes, maybe they would pick up when dollar becomes a naira. Presently I have someone in thick issue with wes. She would waste airtime only for them to tell her to mail that they don't reply. They have verified documents, now they are doing reverification. She has sent her transcripts to wes since November, now nothing!. She even paid extra 70$ for them to use courier in making things faster till now they do like it's a robot that does the evaluation.

Wes service has been really bad recently. But if you have a way of reaching them faster I would appreciate.

Thanks man. You know, I considered almost everything you have said. But the Grad coordinator told me Master's is self-funded and that I should apply directly for the PhD. I asked her if I needed to email any Professor to act as an adviser and she said no but that I should mention his name in my SOP and that it would be relayed to him.

In the course of my research I noticed CuteMorgan got into their Chemistry doctorate program directly and I didn't hear him talk about emailing any Professors so I felt I was in order. His admit and funding emails trooped in back to back as well so I believed they didn't sell me a false word. He did graduate with a 4.55/5 and I didn't however.

I guess they would give a couple Chincos with 169-Q 145-V 2.5-AWA the admit. Nothing spoil. Finally na just 1 admit pesin need sef. Getting all admits is just for self-aggrandizement. grin

See the highlighted part? I dread it more than Jamaican hair especially as the dollar is expected to rise to 650N before the year runs out.
That's true, LSU chemistry na fertile ground for now

Tescoman90, Andradaeze, jaybiz007, seeker88, towbaynah, sirRiddy, Drhopeful, OGreene, iPledge01, Cephas009, Hirschfelder, Time2Smile, Topiipii.

I saw the mentions but I knew I was going to be busy all through then till now.

The most painful aspect about a rejection apart from the (application fee and every other expenses incurred) is the fact that you may never know why. I guess my only consolation is that I couldn't attend all the schools at the same time had I gotten all admits in each of the schools.

I remain optimistic about my other chances.

#TeamFall2017
just saw it now, bro it's just one of the decisions, and If you are still applying. Trying and ask the grad coord if the dept prefers a straight PhD or Ms first. I almost applied to LSU PhD until I asked and the grad coord told me that faculty prefers a Ms first and that I should mail to see if anyone was ready to accept me. Even though on the site you could apply to PhD straight. I just used my number 6.

Even the Ms admit sef, no funding yet.
