This is one mistake drivers do. Owners self know work don't just start from the day the driver picks up the car or signs the agreement yet they will say "contract commenses on the date the document was sign", what nonsense! foolish lawyers with their copy and paste approach. Most of them don't even consult any lawyer self they just collect some copies from people already in the business and then edit names, addresses, plate number and account number some of them even don't remember to edit the car type, juries contacts and address.

Drivers self because of desperation they just sign without even reading detailed clauses.

Normal normal, every HP or rental agreement papers should give room for elapses like,
-restriction of movement in the state of operation.
-curfew
-illness
-holidays
-ceremonies
Among others,

okay because I'm renting your car or buyimg through by HP I should or can't go for burial ceremonies, weddings or I can not take sick or maternity leave or rest ba?? You try.

All of these things should be stated clearly so no payment should be expected on the course of any of these circumstances.

OP, if you know what's good for you better go review that contract again and let there be adjustment where necessary b4 you waste you life for free.

I use 03 to 05 Honda civic for uber ..very strong and reliable cars for uber ..... I have never used 06 or 07 for uber ... But from others that have used it is very ok and strong .........

The Honda Civic transmission will not take abuse lightly .. It will end in highest grade of premium tears. So make sure you use the recommended transmission fluid at all times ..look for reliable source when the times comes .. From experience I can't vouch anyone anymore ...... I do bring them on request and Radauto sells them........

The Honda Civic engine can tolerate abuse.. But please don't abuse it . the are good engines and last a long time if properly taken care of . I will advice to use full synthetic oil 5w20 always...again source from genuine and trusted dealers on nairaland .......

Am saying what I know na. Drive the car on Uber and Bolt then come and give testimony. Indriver wey even if I quarrel with Rider, they still rate me well.

In any case what u r describing just shows Riders will frown wen u show up with that car.

But for real that car will give u poor rating and it doesn't have prestige. I don't recommend that car, even though it thicks all d boxes. But for prestige, class and self confidence. Don't say these are not necessary since u r using it for taxi business. If u r a driver u will understand. 06-08 Civic is a better choice. That's why some of us are looking for alternative to corolla. Corolla don cast, anywhere u go, even when on ur private waka, security, car park people, police, lastma, agbero, danfo all think u r uber

I have said this over and over again. Learn to think outside the box. Like 2 months ago, my hub started making that stupid noise, I changed the whole assembly except ball joint for 5k. Yes, you heard me right. My car engine(borale), thats engine without gear and other accessories cost less than 100k. My AC compressor is 20k. I got the car 9ja used for 800k. I 've used it for a year without any serious repairs done just normal wear and tear. Fuel consumption is at per with corolla, ruggedity is very okay too, Not a boring car, handling on high speed is superb. Infact you'll be tempted to keep pressing the gas pedal till you reach 260km/h if you're not disciplined. My point is, how can you have 1m and still be doing rentals or looking for higher purchase with a deposit of 1m. Is your village people after you? With your 1m, commot like 50k keep for one side for gazzuzz to help inspect Cars within that range that can fit for the hustle. There's nothing as sweet as driving your own car on this hustle. There are times I do 1 to 2 weeks not driving when I feel like taking a break, I work at my own time. For a while now, I've sticked to indriver only cos of the freedom the app offers. I value/ enjoy my peace of mind.

This is annoying, for every trip rider cancels or driver cancels, they will charge you the commission n direct it to refund while you won't be able to take next trip until you replenish your account again.


I'm so deleting that app now, thats just pure nonsense.

That's the experience now on Indriver. I was even debited for trip I cancelled since rider no pick call. The debit didn't go to my refund. Na so I chatted them up. But they remained adamant. We just need more options.

The day Dru23 opened his mouth and said that he's now looking for alternatives to Mobil 1, was the day I lost respect for him as an enlightened being.

He's an American citizen (not sure) , he has an advantage to a better life than an average Uber driver (not sure) . But the fact that he can afford an oil of 20k, made him forget that most people can't, regardless of how much they love and would want to protect their cars. Forgetting that all fingers are not equal.

He's not looking for an alternative now because Mobil 1 is bad. He's looking for an alternative because he can't afford it anymore. Yet; people that are far better than him, that can afford it are still buying it.

Some will say they are going towards that direction but they are only encouraging the riders to put even more ridiculous prices.

I was once at a mall and set destination towards my place one evening. You know what bolt sometimes does, you'll set destination and they'll still be giving you stupid trips. I just allowed it ring out.

One woman beside me who heard it ring now came to ask if it was bolt. I said yes, she asked if I've gotten ja request and I told her I let it ring out because I'm looking for a better trip towards my house. She now said she was going along the same route and that how much will I take to drop her.

Told her N2500 and the woman was like, shey I said I'm going home already and with or without her trip, I will still have go go home. Madam, that one no concern you o. Its N2500 or nothing.

She left me there and I continued hunting. Ended up getting a N3300 from bolt.

That I'm already on my way home does not mean I'll take a useless trip. I will rather blow empty back to the house.
