deedee44: Unionism cannot give the result we desire, only if we do it the endsars way. Create an online group and ask drivers to start adding themselves, there's no driver that doesn't know a driver so before you know it all the drivers are on board. From there we can all have one voice. Loud |

davit: https://punchng.com/command-arrests-officials-of-ride-hailing-drivers-association-over-protest/
So we have no right to protest again? What a country! Boss this protest is far from smart move, if u ask me, I'll say some peeps with hidden agenda will end up using drivers to carry out dia operation. Lagos just went thro hell in the name of protest and anything called protest now is like beating a drum of war, anybody can take over that and before you know police station's will b burn and even ppl may lost their lives, include the policemen. Times r hard, we need to move smart, ask question, who's PEDPA? What are their agenda? You r busy going thro stress, one person is forming activist and before you know they form a cartel with fine oven's inside A/C office asking you to come and take renewal 6 months form of 5k before you can operate or monthly dues, think about power and how intoxicating it can be, think of someone having drivers data in their hands. Uber/Bolt does not have an office here or do you know any office? What they have is an ICT and customer care unit and they may choose to shift it to online. What's going to government house about? To do what precisely, people wey dey won burn, still they use oil rub body. The best protest drivers can have is online, go offline and let them call for deliberation. One of the best way to obtain this is via awareness, real awareness and time base awareness. Attacking folks not registered under any union is another show of shame, it is honestly not by force, but a share of understanding and u don't force ppl against their will. |

AOB1: Please guys I need your advice, I am a government worker and my monthly salary is #55,000 but I usually get some allowance anytime I went for an assignment, infact am presently in one assignment right now and my allowance for this assignment is #65,000 so right now all my earnings every month for now is #120,000. but the problem am having right now is that I don't like the job because of the risk in it (You can lost your life at any given time) and also the job is not 100% guarantee because you can be fire at anytime, I also don't have time for myself and my family and the government did not have any proper plan for our future. So now am thinking of buying a car so that I can be using it for online cab such as Uber and Bolt because I have discussed it with some of my family and friends and they said doing Uber and Bolt is more lucrative(financially) than my present job and I am going to have time to plan for my future and also the risk in it is not as high as my present job. please note that I will be the one to be driving my car. Please your advice is urgently needed please you can also ask me any questions. Please my brothers may God bless our hustle. Boss this call is urs, every business or job have their down sides, can u stand the rain, that should b ur first question. if you have ur car already, take a break from work 1 or 2 weeks, try your strength and see if u can stand this and sum the balance up. What is the state of your car? How good are you when it comes to putting 2k together, u may gross 80k and don't see 20k in ur account, Lagos money... but if I see 120k job now, without risk, the only reason I'll do it is because of indriver, only legend will understand. |
