chucsmoore: This is not the right time to run your car several hours to make little, l will advice you do light hustle to feed, pay up bills and expenses till the business comes back to normal. Car maintenance and repair outweighs that daily 10k net when issues arises. I have spent close to 300k this January on car repairs. Let's be wise. Well u r right, but on the second tot, if 10k can b certain in a day, let's say 6 days for 60k in a week. That's 240k in a month, let's say 70k for gas, we have 170k.... I will pick this option and dare whatever chooses to spoil in the car, then spending from grey money. |

I wanna use the car 4 bolt. Please is it advisable. Hopefully there is an option for you to pay more than 50k every other months, paying a debt for 4 years is another way to tie you down, cos from the look of things you may not be able to leave the company until you have offset the debt. 4 years is not a joke, pikin wey start primary 1 today can b in primary 5 within the space of 4 years. Infact for clarity of purpose, it won't b bad to know the figure u earn monthly to start with, any side hustle, wifey to bail you out in trying times, what happens if you choose to leave the company. |

Crvrider: So bross na you capture this ojodu to conservation trip. Was at alausa when that request show up but PU distance and time was too much so i didn't bother to go for it.
About making 10k net daily, hmmm! Well, impossible is nothing but with the reality of the way things are it will be much easier for car owners than it is for drivers on HP/rentals.
I drive my own car and I have a day job that brings in something every month end so the time and energy I'll put into the hustle might be quite different from someone who doesn't and this will certainly affect my output.
However, in this line of business timing and positional skills matter if you are to succeed...add in a bit of luck! Yesterday I was parked close to the secretariat, alausa, and juicy requests kept coming from ojodu(inDriver), ...this is not the first time its happening and I couldn't take rides from uber for fear of the unkown. As at past 6pm I had only done 2trips and nowhere close to my daily target so as to meet my weekly target when a call came in from someone I know who offered 10k to and from idumota market today(sat). Na so I take close shop and called it a day.
So my advice, prioritize your positioning and if possible set out early.
PS: started work past 12noon yesterday. Before setting out on time means calling it a day on time... you can set out Ard 3pm and still make 15k before 9pm, that's how crazy this stuff get. |

BAZ001: Thread carefully with this line. 10k a day for how many days consistently? The stress and risk involved The car repairs and hostile environment... With this covid 19 that most organizations are working virtually and still get paid. Let’s stop comparing this hustle to someone sitting in the office 9-5 everyday There's really no comprehension, if I get a 9 to 5 job that will pay me 150k monthly with 5 working days, I won't even think twice before jumping on it, as long as they will pay when due. Right now I don't think I can leave driving (my fear tho), kind of stuck on this lane, d exposure, if not for driving, I would have been living in my small world, the ovens, the light and sight and beautiful souls here... So! I'll obviously b driving during my free time as I've set monthly target of netting 200/250k (God willing). About 10k daily, I'll say 50k weekly is possible, but d odds have been against me and my work pattern right now is not helping (Kind of lazy). Yesterday by 12:30 I was already on 6500 net and I see no reason why I won't make 3500 before night fall, but I don't like the way the car is firing, so I decided to go drop it with the mech and have it check. We agreed for him to change the plugs, a cyclider that machine detect misfires and as well wash the fuel pump assembly and change it. Went to pick car Ard 10 am today and as I was heading to Lekki, that's how car start acting funny and the check light kept blinking, a little bit of stop, the whole car will b shaking. I have to pull over at Yaba and beg the rider to take another ride, cos I'm not comfortable driving a car in this state. Call my oga and explain the situation to him, he said is the pump, we should get complete fuel pump assembly. I rush down to Oyingbo to get that and drove back to him, so he can fix it on time. As he coupled it, I quickly on my app and another request entered 4500 to Lekki, I start car and the shake is still obvious like fuel is not supplying adequately, had to tell rider to cancel again. When we were done placing machine on it and correct the faults. I just jejely find my way home. I firmly believe 10k is feasible daily but with much endurance. Things r not the way it used to b now, there's a natural winter, flowing in the sky

Bammzzie: Good morning guys, I saw this on twitter this morning...hmm, we drivers are really trying and facing alot of wahala in this hustle, Lastma go do him own, council, police, taskforce, even wicked passengers and nw Covid-19 don join Let's be guided pls, watch and pray. Madamrad, Izzou, Dru23, Felicity0001, DeeDee, Pope191 and other beautiful members, I really admire and appreciate u guys input May God bless everyone... Jpworld, it's been a while, how are you and your drivers doing? How much are they remitting nw? Cos before you can make 10k in this winter season nw, na die o. #Peace Truth is we can't play down this virus, I told a rider how I won't let the virus slow me down this year, cos it made me paranoid last year and at a point I felt I have it (Still feel I've been in and out of it tho). We just didn't manage the situation well, lot of people r in mess today, because of that. I've picked one of the best rider that had it and we chatted from Ogba to 1004, she was telling me how deadly the stuff was and how they counter it, firstly it was her mom, till it got to her (the way I turned and look at her was epic). Right now I just see myself as a soldier in battlefield and try as much as I can to take precautions, but ain't scared of carrier, cos they r obviously around us all dis while. |

Crvrider: Like you guys talk here. Wahala be like bicycle. I get scared each time I put on the app because I don't know where the rider might be going. I can't waste resources: fuel, time and energy for 200naira, plus there will still collect commission.
Though, most of you have opined that the moove guys may be getting preferential treatment, which is possible, because I don't see the business sense in using a car worth millions for 200naira trips.
My acceptance rate on uber go shock you Boss u use ur hand block your hand block yourself nah |

northbird: Bro, I don't know how they do it o esp d Moove guys, who have no options.
Part of the reasons that made me leave their app, na those short trips.
I have driven more than 2km to pu. Only to take the trip it was a card trip, end trip I saw ₦300. For a corrolla, i almost got crazy that day. Different emotions running through me.
Even Keke from Ogba to college road makes more than ₦300. without any yeye protocol of smiling, courtesy and all that balderdash in the name of customer service and ratings. I don't know anything like courtesy again... some riders r funny in an interesting way rider phone rang and she put it on speaker, the caller to rider... where r u? I'm inside Uber, on my way home Caller: There's no this at home, no dat, stop at so and so places to get them Rider: I don't cash with me Caller: Tell the driver to give you, that you will transfer everything with ride fare Me just keep my straight face like The Game she looked at me and stutter for seconds, please can I get cash from u? Inside my mind I'm like: I hope u don't want to remain unfortunate for the rest of your life, on indriver and u are asking this kind of stupid question. I have to lecture her on how everybody does transfer lately, and how tedious it is to get gas, so am out of cash as well. Another trip that kind of make me laff, was the day I picked a rider on a 4k trip from phase 1 to CMD on indriver. That's how this girl is using me to play, next thing was her leaving a whatsapp voice note "Dear I'm leaving, or do you want me to stay back, let me know" smh and cracked a smile, that reply nah on 3rd Mainland bridge u go read em, by then we will b discussin what she want to add for return trip. |

kanuisagoat: Back then when I was using bolt as a rider, no matter how well I flow with a driver, if I hear any suspension noise from your vehicle, I'm giving you 4 stars
As far as I was concerned, you just endangered my life so why give you a 5.
I'm sure most of those drivers will wonder why their rating dropped despite having smooth trips Is all coming back... is all back to u, it's the power of love |

FuckEveryday: Omo bro, this hustle don dey make me craze small small o, So jejeli jejeli I was coming down from falomo bridge towards VI, naxo LASTMA jump enter my front with their tools say "my tyre dey ontop people wey dey go Saka tinubu" I dey obstruct their movement, meanwhile they were going there own without any issue Naxo I follow dem drag am o say I no get money, las las dem collect 2k and I went my way (that 2k was all I had made that morning)
I somehow found myself @ somolu after years of waiting for trip, I made the worst mistake so far of this young year by turning on indriver, I saw one trip(rider wanted me to carry some Papers from somolu to him) from where I was marked directly to Ikorodu Road..Island boy wey I be na, I no know how that road dey be, I turned on Google map (estimated time of arrival 2:19) fare- 1500 appx 32mins trip. In my head, I go just use the money top fuel, zoom off to airport and wait till eternity till I get trip back to lekki.
My dear brothers, as I dey move, 2:19 was moving to 2:50 to 3:19 I dey look 4:00pm 4:00pm dey look me Ontop 1500! And the worse thing besay I'll have to pass through the guys place before I get a U-turn to civilization Infact, Wen I got to his shop by almost 4:30 I was nearly deaf and dumb, like who send me Baba gave me #1500 plus extra #200 in his words "bros top fuel abeg I no get too much" I appreciated cus he has every right not to, NA ME FvCK UP!
I just turned off all the apps, Zoomed STRAIGHT to the island, buy abacha, go house, uninstalled indriver, carry car cloth Cover my car till further notice cus my mental health is very important
Make Una come chop. Hallelujah in everything boss, whatever pain u have today over this trip, just know that it won't b as bad as waking up to see the guy give you 3 star. I once picked a rider from grammar school to eko court complex 2650, spent almost 3 hrs in traffic, my face didn't leave d fuel gauge, as the tin was dropping, my eyes couldnt take it. Despite having a good chat with the man, he rate me 4 stars, ever since then I don't pick his trip again, I still deh vex for the man till today |

ndubuisi2021: I was quite surprised when I saw a lot of naive folks here displaying dashboard earnings in December. That's about the only time of the year one can earn reasonably on this job. January/February is usually very dry even when the world was normal. After that, rain comes to disrupt the hustle in Lagos from April - September. So, one is basically left with only November and December to make a bit of an impact on uber.
I really do not think anyone should rely fully on this for steady income, an exit plan should always be in the offing. Helps more as a side hustle.
Besides, for every 20k made in this hustle, there's always a hefty price paid, makes it feel like its generally not worth it at all, quite often. Boss I'm looking frim afar... covid is affecting this business, no school, no club, no party, work from home, who are we meant to carry? Now I do 60 on awolowo Rd, before it's traffic zone. In a nutshell the country is not smiling, times r rugged. |

Yesterday as I park at d front of MKO Abiola gardens, my mind has already hint me I'm parked on major road, but with d low request , tiredness and frown, I decide to dare whatever. A man walked up to me and told me to b mindful, cos Lastma disturbs. Told him thank you and position d car to auto fly, in a kind off zoom drive, while other drivers queue at my back (God forgive me). This sleep kept hitting me hard, as I struggle with it, I'll check both front and rearview just in case... like the coming of Christ, I've lost my guard when dis ppl show, 2 towing vans and their vehicle. They were talking to the drivers behind me wit dia knives in dia hands, the kind speed I use to zoom off was next to none. Went to shop rite for 55 mins, no good trip, I gently find my way home, b4 my shoprite ticket cut. Diary of winter reloaded. As I'm typing now, I'm just at yard, thinking of exit plan |
