But seriously she too does not have authority to tell people how to balance their sheet. Even when the guy that was driving to save his salary for a project stated his reasons, he was schooled in a tad condescending manner. Many people do uber for several reasons and many do not do it as a business required to keep books.

Let everyman be. Personally I think she should have stayed out of it. JPworld with his rascally behaviour seemed to have built a house in her head without her realising it.

I begin to suspect this sudden rash of irresponsible speculations are an unorthodox marketing campaign commissioned by uber.

Moreso this guy's figures don't add up: 60k per day for two days is just 120k, in four places it makes up 480k, not 750k. Fuel & other miscellaneous expenses are still there. We need not talk about repairs which come in unexpected chunks of real money. What of routine maintenance?

The publicity blitz can lead to only one thing this coming new year, and that is LASG coming down hard on e-hailing with their army of revenue agents touts in a bid to get their own share of this miracle money. Uber drivers y'all know what that means grin

PS: anyone who quits a nine-to-five paying 250 for a dead-end job driving uber taxi, deserves to be locked up in an asylum for a while.
When we r campaigning against dashboard display, it feels like one is stupid abi? Make most of ur peak period as nothing last forever. We allow capitalist like JPWORD, that knows nothing than profiteering to be pushing us, sad enough, we ain't seeing any of his driver worth the price tag ... this week seem like winter enough, I've not even driven as usual, cos the spirit is low, more like I'm hustling for trip now, unlike those days one will have 2 drivers jostle for an indriver trip, now it is 10 drivers on a trip, body go tell us grin when state start eyeing ehailing.

Any which way, I'm still trying to outshine eyptian4real, dat 1.6 million deh make e b like say me no hustle atall.

I have an office job paying 200k monthly.

I hear uber drivers make 800k in 2 months.

I came to this thread and saw dashboard of over 800k true true.

I quit my job at the end of the month (December) and used all my savings to buy a car to be driving myself with the hope of doubling my salary.

I start driving in January but gross 200k (net 110k) at the end of the month.

Subsequent months, gross increase to averagely 320k (net 170k) every month

Then i realize that the 800k is only for December rush with mad surge, and after commission and fuel money are deducted, it is actually around 460k net for the 2 peak months.

Then I come back to nairaland to swear for the person that posted his dashboard without explaining the deductions and the stress I have to go to before I can achieve it.

Now instead of my dream of 100% increment in income, I'm stuck with 15% decrement plus hard labour. (Yes, driving up and down for over 12 hours daily, 6 days in a week is hard labour. You'll age with speed)

This is the best way I think I can explain why it is misleading to just post dashboards with high earnings without tobacco-like warning.
If I tell you I'm not lost in all this, nah lie I deh lie... but it's all good and fun

The only thing that interest me now Izzou went to sleep his wife, that's barbaric and it pollutes the mind grin after they go sat nah only pope deh light oven, but all men have their bus stop

Lol, the thing is some how, dispatched having drags this December, I'm beginning to think about the odds, but Indriver don have cumulative.

Frankly,I see nothing wrong in posting dashboard earns.

Dashboard earnings have never translated to cash at hand.

Dashboard earnings have never guaranteed steady rental remission.

Dashboard earnings have never proven that the tool(vehicle) and Human Resource( driver) were overworked.

Dashboard earnings will continue to mislead a lot of people as always.

We have seen it all. From the days of Ogunvic, Romanus, Jesuson..... just to mention a few.

How can a fleet manager who claims to own over 10 corollas bothered about dashboard earnings?
Is he handicapped ?
What stops him from getting into one of his numerous corollas, hitting the road , netting over 800k and displaying for all to see grin

Fingers can't be equal in size.
Rentals fee can never be generalized.

The best Drivers will always negotiate a good deal and be consistent about it.

Terrible partners will keep changing drivers like oloshos grin
Yea, I agree with you... I can say much about earning on dashboard, but what we do with the cash is relative base on our lives situation. It ingrained in me that anyone earning 150k monthly in Lagos is yet to have a life or clear resolution, a standard 3 bedroom now goes as far as 800k, that's like 5 months salary, children school fees and family upkeep. We have lot of work to do, than drawing unnecessary attention, ppl make much more than this, make up artist and Co that carries iPhone 11 up and down, don't even loud their income. Let's just b easy, person wey won deh motivated, go wake when reality hit em... You can force a horse to d stream, but you can never force the horse to drink from it. Same way, you can force ppl to see your dashboard, but you can never force them to reason proper.

As for JPWORLD, nah cruise sha, we all need both the good, bad and ugly to make a complete circle.

Got tired of this... January is just a mile away, work don cast, dats what everyone will b singing.

This are the kind of bad eggs we have among us drivers. How can a this driver be so heartless that he refused to refund rider's money.

A trip of 11km 21mins and yet he clicked arrived 25mins before he truly arrived which boost the fare to N4500, That wasn't the problem and the rider never complained about the fare.

The problem here is that. The rider sent 45,000 naira instead of 4,500 naira and the driver blocked the rider's line after he call him back to notify him of the excess transaction.

The rider called me, who was the previous driver that dropped him at his 1st location to report the incident.

After calling this driver, my line was equally block. I have tried my best since morning telling the rider to be patient so the driver won't be blocked but to what end. The driver already blocked my number too.

The scam driver's contact 09036293898

As Copied!!!

Now e don reach awa turn.
It is well boss, may we not see temptation above us. A rider alert dropped twice this week, even with his rudeness and not being aware of such mistake, I reach out to him and ask for his account. Honestly! If I say it didn't cross my mind to later the guy, coupled with his attitude as justification, but I knew the regret will eat me up and won't b able to take pride in myself with time... How people allow little things that wont solve their life problems entice them is beyond comprehension. This driver with questionable character have no choice, than to refund to the rider, it's our work #SoftWork grin

The way I zoom off and scatter everywhere does not have part 2, thank God I have the car doors on lock, I just can't imagine begging one unfit person with 20/30k this morning.

I once encode this in a post, it's difficult for industrious driver to meet up with the argument here and more difficult for anyone using Indriver, but what I get is, I can't comprehend what you wrote. I obviously have no right or does it make sense for me to condemn anybody, but if the CEO's here earn their stripes, then it's just logical enough for drivers to focus more on their work and let them cruise (CEO's) when they feel like. When it's all said and done, their money works for them and return will enter, but me? All I've got, is just me, no work no pay.

I hope my post is comprehensive enough this time...
