shegzhkn:What you wrote here is not clear. You need to post the link to what you have been reading to allow for clarity. Nevertheless, the seeming premise of your conclusion, based on your question, is part of the historically false assumptions that got Buhari elected by Nigerians and now regrettably looking for a way out without finding any. Get it very clear. The oil revenue is shared by all tiers of government: comprising the federal, 36 states, and 774 local governments Using the federal government budget alone to compare the oil receipt is fraught with grave errors. You would need to add the budgets/estimates of all the states and LGAs to make an appropriate comparion. Or isolate the share of the FG from the revenue to compare with its budget. In any case, the budget itself is not all about expenditure, it states the portion of receipts and the sources. |
That's the difference between sanity and insanity. What we hear from many supposedly intelligent Nigerians is that "cows are more important to some people than their children". |
Petrol subsidy increased to N1.4 trillion per annum despite a hike in petrol pump price to N145 per litre with $70+ crude oil price. |
A $195m "defense contract" was signed without due diligence - with $50m paid upfront. Under Buhari. |
Buhari's government launched a logo as the country's national carrier. A national carrier with government's 5% equity without any other identified investors. |
Under Buhari, Eurobond (foreign debt) is being utilized to service domestic debt. Proceeds of Eurobond are added to the foreign currency reserves and touted as a foreign reserve increase. |
Public institutions are being destroyed without regard to the principle of separation of powers. Several millions of dollars taken from the treasury without prior parliamentary approval. |

It is better to surrender your land than be killed, says Femi Adesina |
Timpriye Sylvia's corruption prosecution case was withdrawn by Buhari. All his allegedly acquired assets through corruption were returned back to him. |
Baba eye don dey clear. After several years of self deceit and delusion, the Prof is getting back bit by bit. His party has been battling acute schizophrenia since 2015. After seeing that their multiple assumptions about governance in Nigeria are nothing but self deception bordering on chronic illusion, the Prof is coming around. At least he has the courage to admit their failures. Others are still bent on continual hallucination even in the face of a glaring failure of The Buhari Experiment. |
Mylove55:You people are confused. You hardly know what you are saying most times. In any case, if you fantasize that the killings are orchestrated by opposition politicians, why is Buhari and his government always claiming that the killings predate his government. He was in the opposition for several years too mind you. Was he part of those that orchestrated the killings then? Why are your narratives not coherent? If opposition politicians are behind the massacre why is it in the place of Buhari and his government to defend the killings? Does it make any common sense? Buhari told the Benue people to go and live in peace with their fellow human beings. Buhari told Donald Trump that the killers are from other countries. Buhari said the solution to the killings is allowing the cows to roam freely everywhere or his government would confiscate people's ancestral land for cows to graze. Buhari said the killings result from development and blocking of 'grazing routes' by the natives. Buhari said the problem predates his own birth. Buhari and his government have not arrested a single foreign killer and prosecute him in any Nigerian court. Buhari government has prosecuted and got a death sentence for youths reportedly defending themselves against the killings. |
This is a poor attempt at divide and rule if indeed the Bauchi State CAN chairman is quoted correctly. The Bauchi State CAN chairman should know that he will be accountable for his deeds here on earth and in the hereafter. He should be careful the way he allows himself to be used against Christians in Nigeria. Buhari himself has said the issue is a farmers/cattle rearers clash. The Miyetti Allah Cattle group has attributed the reason why the killings are being executed to the death or disappearance of 300 cows. Buhari himself said the number of those killed in Plateau and Benue states combined is not upto the those killed in Zamfara State alone. Buhari's government itself has provided 'evidence' that the killings are not that much when compared to how many were killed under previous governments. These are not statements suggestive of a government experiencing opposition orchestrated sabotage or a government under 'foreign attacks'. Buhari's government is actively prosecuting suspects allegedly defending themselves against their attackers. Some have been convicted and sentenced to death for standing up against their attackers. None of the so-called foreigners has been arrested and prosecuted by Buhari's government. No single so-called foreigner has been apprehended for the violence. The Bauchi Christians should be worried about their CAN chairman's position. |
TylerDurden:He attended during Sharia law debate around 2002 and in 2014 when when he felt he had a chance to be elected president. |
Which state organ has not been destroyed within the last three years? How many statutory bodies have been constituted? How many times has he attended the weekly FEC meeting? Hopefully, Nigeria has a chance next year to stop the retrogression by voting him out. Otherwise the remaining institutions would be gone. |
From the same man who has Sani Abacha as his role model. |
Robbin7:Do you know who Shagari is? |
Ethnic cleansing is painful. Massacre of hundreds of people is painful. Targeting Christian population for killings is painful. Preference for cows over human beings is painful. Taking away people's jobs and means of livelihood is painful. Pushing aggressively to away people's land and water is painful. These are not temporary pains. These are cancerous pains, terminal pains. |
Abacha is a CARDINAL... Buhari Meanwhile, Joshua Dariye's prosecution started long ago. Dariye was investigated and impeached by the Plateau State House of Assemby and handed over to the EFCC for diligent prosecution long time ago. These happened when he was in the PDP. But Timprie Sylvia of Bayelsa State got all his court ordered frozen assets returned back to him and his case discontinued by the Attorney General of the Federation. These happened when he joined Buhari's APC as a prominent facilitator of Buhari's election. And Yahaya Bello of Kogi State joins Buhari to pray and break fast everytime (allegedly) without any investigation of alleged mismanagement of his state's resources. These are happening right now when Bello is a member of Buhari's APC. Always remember that [Abacha is a CARDINAL... Buhari] |
Insatiable appetite to spend people's money without thinking of the consequences is at the root of the proposed change of law to accommodate more investments in equities by PFAs. By the time they exhaust the proposed 30% they will come up with some charts and graphs showing what percentage of pension is invested in junk stocks in Australia and Trinidad &Tobago, or Hawaii, Tahiti etc. And when they blow that one away, they will surely show charts on pension investments in ponzi schemes. |
They know he likes to feel "important". So they made him "important". A political party's VIP. It seems he is contented with just that. They will monitor him again and give him with another "important" job when necessary. |
How come the proposed law doesn't have any supporter from the southern senators? Does it mean they too have not read it? You people also said cattle colony/route has been in existence before. It turns out you are trying to mop up people's ancestral land for cows. (You have not relented) Water laws should be left the way they are without any modifications. Don't modify anything. Don't use your government to appropriate people's God's given resources for the sake of your tribe and ethnic group. It will backfire sooner or later. If you want to relocate your business to another part of the country you can do so by obeying existing laws of the host states. You cannot plan to relocate your people and relocate your laws to supplant the hosts communities just because you have power today. You don't own Nigeria. |
namet:He was a replacement for Adelabu who resigned to pursue a career in politics. It's a South West slot. |
May 29, 2019 remains the Hand Over Day. A single second will not be added to that. No to tenure elongation. |
