wirinet:In that case, we should remove Buhari's name from the Lagos-Calabar (Port Harcourt-Calabar) rail which they claimed they have paid counterpart funds for but which work has not commenced till now, when the project eventually takes off and completed, right? As you can see, that project was signed with the Lagos-Ibadan one. You don't have understanding. It is doubtful if you will see a single person in Nigeria who is not happy about Buhari continuing projects that he met instead of cancelling them like he did the Lagos Metroline initiated by Alhaji Jakande in the 1980s. If you see anyone who is not happy about this project, he or she must be on to something else. Buhari's history about cancelling, stalling, abandoning projects is legendary, therefore, well meaning people should actually commend him for continuing some of these ones at this time. The issue is you his worshippers trying to diminish other people's efforts in the same projects. It is something to try and worship your god for what you think he is doing for you, it is another thing to falsely ascribe to him or lump other people efforts with his magnanimity towards you without due credit. |
CityNGR:They came into government unprepared. Many of them sat down in Lagos and conjuring fictitious scenarios of how Nigeria would be handled better if they got to Abuja. On getting there, they suddenly realized that their wishful daydreams have no basis in reality. But being used to showmanship and brainwashing, they just have start lying and hoodwink their people everywhere. They know fully well that their Africa Magic watching audience are only interested in pictures and glamour. But they are not aware that lies have expiry dates. |
Corrinthians:How do you commence/start a project without signing contract? |
ryloy:How do you commence something from the blues? Is that how projects are done? The major work in a project is not the ground breaking ceremonies. It takes a lot to get to the ceremonial photo-op (propaganda) stage. Obasanjo's own contract with the Chinese was canceled by Yaradua. You people should learn to read and monitor Nigeria's development at all times. Yaradua canceled all the major agreements Obasanjo negotiated then. Many of you even applauded him for that. It took a painstaking methodical efforts for the Jonathan's government to renegotiate the contracts. Government is a continuum, past governments did their own parts and moved on. If you people had not been trying to smear others with bogus claims about how your messiah is the best things to happen to Nigeria in 100 years, if he had just continued from where he met those projects and do his own bits, if you guys had not tried to demonize someone or people who put Nigeria on the road to prosperity in favour of someone is spreading poverty around and making you love it, no one would have tried to make any clarifications. But as you can see, there's no single thing he or his government has been able to do which is not shrouded in controversy. |
The people you are talking to dont deal with records. They create what is suitable for them to believe. They turn things upside down quickly because of hatred and bitterness. Even at that, if they do 3 minutes work they will tell you they have been working for 3 and half years. |
Not corruption and leadership again, ehn? |
These are the political officers summarily retired by Obasanjo to safeguard our democracy. Obasanjo didn't give them an opportunity to begin to develop and carry out their suspected anti democratic tendencies. That was the single most important decision that has seen our democracy last till this time. Had they been left in the barracks, we can only imagine what they might have done. They have remained disoriented and totally frustrated since then. |

aminho:This is ridiculous. Do you mean four colonels stand behind President Trump, carrying his bag and opening his car door? You don't know what you are saying, sir. |
gidgiddy:That is how to identify a third world country's president from 1000km away. |
Can the whole now see how they waste human resources on frivolity in Africa? A colonel in the Nigerian Army's duty is to stand sentry at the back of the president and open doors for him, in 2019. This guy is almost a One Star General. BSc, MIAD, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Experience includes; 4 years standing behind the president of Nigeria, opening his car doors, carrying his files, among others. What an 'impressive' CV. |
Lush100:"Dr. Anwar pointed out that Buhari served the purpose of galvanizing the votes that sent Jonathan and PDP out of office" |
What do you expect? Nigerians that are celebrating a president who cannot produce an ordinary school certificate as having integrity. |
How many of these people did Onoghen appoint? How many were appointed before he came? Without listing them, your argument is watery. Did Onoghen not say he declared these accounts and sources of funds in them in 2016? What now is the issue? Is it the amount of money that is the issue and the sources or the listing in 2009 which he said he corrected in 2016? Can it be said that he is still hiding something with respect to the accounts if he had declared them in 2016? Buhari himself declared a landed property in Port Harcourt that he said he doesn't know the location up till now. How can someone own a land and declare it as an asset without knowiing where the land is located? Does he not have land documents? Is it anticipatory? Is it hidden because he is trying to hide the value so he can continue to hoodwink his adherents about his socalled integrity? How does the CCB locate the land for confirmation? Should the country call for his impeachment because of that? He has not even been able to present his ordinary school certificate for many years claiming it was with the 'Secretary of the Army Board' (a position that does not exist), which the army has denied knowledge of. The people against him are simply allowing due process to go on in the court. The petitioner of the CJN made it clear that he wrote the petition because of the coming elections and the roles assigned to the CJN, why did Buhari not 'order' the suspension of Onoghen's purported arrangement till after the elections as they said he did in Senator Adeleke's case? Is it because he is not sure of the magical REMOTE CONTROL this time? Better still, why not do the right thing for once? What is difficult in following due process? Why not do as the constitution stipulated? How can Buhari and his adherents be the only people who know what is right and the whole world is wrong? |
Nigeria and Venezuela have a lot in common. Both are oil producing countries being afflicted by the 'Dutch disease'. They are being led by undemocratic entities who are using the state machinery to terrorize the system and force themselves on the people. The records of these entities in goverment are woeful, leading to deaths, insecurity, repression of opposition, high cost of living, mass exodus of people out of the countries and capital flight. Expectedly, in any democratlc environment, leaders with these very very bad records are supposed to be changed through electoral process by the people who feel the pains themselves but that has not happened in Venezuela and there are feelers that Buhari is not going to allow it to happen in Nigeria. Under normal conditions, with free and fair and transparent elections, Buhari cannot win next month's election even in Katsina State, because by human nature, no one would choose a leader who cannot provide the most basic of necessities, food and security. No human being will support someone who doesn't evoke hope but spreading poverty everywhere because he said he wants to build train. So, what Buhari would normally do giving his monumental failure in his first term to entrench himself in office is to manipulate the system and rig the elections. Otherwise, how does the whole world explain the actions of Buhari with the electoral process concerning key individuals who are significant to the outcome of the elections? His relation has been strategically positioned at INEC collation room while the backend is being prepared to accommodate the electoral shenanigans with the removal of the CJN. His government's 'main economic policy' has been categorized as vote buying by an international organization. The same Buhari we were told 'ordered' the Inspector General of Police to withhold the arraignment of Senator Adeleke for alleged certificate forgery because of the imminence of his election in Osun State till after the election, so that sinister motives won't be read into it. How come he now feels that the arraignment of the CJN illegally is appropriate on the eve of his own election if not because he has sinister intentions? In view of these developments, Buhari's actions have been rightly seen by the international community as trying to force himself back into office. If that happens, his legitimacy would be questioned and may lead to the Venezuelan scenario (or similar) in order to save the people from hardship. Civilized humanity should not sit by and allow people die of hunger and daily violence just because someone said he wants to build train. |
What is the essence of this interview now, ehn? When will Africans stop going to Europe and America to marvel at buildings and edifices? How is this man's acquired cerificate going to be of help to himself, family and country? What was his major findings in his research that will benefit Africans apart from just talking about social challenges? Did he just spend 14 months to study his fellow African's lifestyle? What is the usefulness of his paper certification now, ehn? Where will you use this particular knowledge you just acquired? What is the relevance of the knowledge? How do you want to intervene? It's high time people focussed on specific solutions they want to proffer with their education and play down the culture shock and mighty buildings tales. It is not helping Africa. The training you received is for a purpose. What is it? Definitely not to tell us how beautiful Frankfort airport is. Ok, you have told us what you think government should do, how are they going to do it? Someone gave a similar advice before you and government has not listen, we've been hearing of this type government should do this and that since 1900 without anyone listening, is this one going to be different? In specific terms, how is your knowledge going to affect the society positively? Now that you are here what are we to expect from you? Do you want to join the government? At what level: municipal, state or federal? Will it require a bill at the state or national level? What level of funding are you looking at? How do you raise it? Do you want to establish a business? What gap do want to fill? Can you do it alone? Tell us what we have not heard before. |
What are they saying? The petitioner himsel said he wrote the petition because of the coming elections. |
Femo Femo Why are you lying to us na? Even the petitioner said his petition is political. |
Lol Aftermath of Kaduna PDP crowd. Desperation is now in full gear. When you see Kano nko, you will swear-in Yusuf as the Acting INEC Chairman. It's time to go home, you have tried your best. |
From "no one can defeat Buhari in the north" to "Why Buhari MAY win". What has happened to the idol? Why the struggle all of a sudden? Lol |
Does anyone have an update on the Nickel discovery in the north for us? The one they said will earn Nigeria trillions of dollars in foreign exchange. How far with the mining now? We are not feeling the impact; we can't see it in the Federation Account. We need money for budget. |
Jaypop22:You are forming objectivity with subjective questions. Why not speak to the context? This is not a trivial matter. The issue here is known worldwide as CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Have you heard it before? 1) Have you seen anywhere that Amina Zakari or anyone close to their family deny these claims since Junaid Mohammed made them in 2016? 2) Was her screening in consideration when Buhari was forced by public opinion to drop his plan to make her a substantive INEC chairman after Jega left? When she was redeployed to a more neutral department earlier, what role did her screening or no screening play? 3) Did you see where it was claimed by Mohammed that the president that appointed her did so on the recommendation of Buhari her uncle (referee)? Has the claim been refuted by any of the three of them (Jonathan, Buhari and Zakari) since 2016? 4) Have you done your own private investigation and found that she is not related to or recommended to her position by Buhari? Do you even know how appointments are made in Nigeria? |
WaffenSS:Junaid Mohammed has not denied his own claim. https://punchng.com/nepotism-buharis-govt-worst-nigerias-history-junaid-mohammed/ |
What about this claim by Junaid Mohammed? I am now in my 67th year. Another thing I also want you to know is that, Amina Zakari, who was and still a national commissioner in the Independent National Electoral Commission representing the entire seven states in the North-West. It is being claimed that Buhari knows nothing about her appointment (before he became President), it is a lie. When President Goodluck Jonathan was re-organising the INEC and he was bringing in Prof. Attahiru Jega, he reached out to Buhari and asked Buhari to nominate somebody from the North-West so that that person would be a national commissioner. Of all the people in the North-West, Buhari decided to nominate his own niece, the daughter of his elder sister- Amina Zakari. She has been there; when Jega left, Buhari was determined to make her chairman, it was because of the massive backlash that he dropped the idea like hot potatoes. As we are talking today, that woman is a national commissioner which means she is one of the principal election umpires. Throughout my reading of history, political science and social sciences generally, I have never heard of any dictator or any tyrant under any system of government whether totalitarian or fascist, appointing his own niece to conduct elections in which he was either a party or going to be a party to; Buhari has done that. The immediate younger brother to Amina Zakari is currently the Minister for Water Resources representing Jigawa State in the same Buhari government. In addition, even though they are from Kazaure, Kazaure is contiguous to Daura. The eldest sister of both of them is now the Commissioner for Education in the All Progressives Congress government in Jigawa State. If this is not nepotism, then I don’t know what is nepotism https://punchng.com/nepotism-buharis-govt-worst-nigerias-history-junaid-mohammed/ |

Oblang:February will soon be here. We would all ride in it from Lagos-Ibadan or Lagos-Abekuota. As you can see that people have been using the Lagos blue line from Okoko to Marina since 2011. "The taste of the pudding is in the eating." |
Oblang:Can you show the picture of the work done on the coastal railway renegotiation you have just posted now? |
sanpipita:Don't mind him. They know that his type are easily carried away by images. They go into extreme hysteria immediately they are shown images of earthwork and iron rods. |
Oblang:Your obsession with pictures is childish. That's why you are being deceived with propaganda images. It is not by work done in pictures. It is by sitting inside a train that takes you from Lagos-Ibadan, in person. They are taking advantage of your emotional vulnerability. Demand for the genuine completion of this project instead. |
jomoh:Osinbajo said the rail line would be ready for use by December 2018, and would ensure ease of transportation and diversification of the national economy. https://www.thecable.ng/osinbajo-flags-off-lagos-ibadan-line-says-national-rail-project-will-create-500000-jobs/amp |
Oblang:2015 - Lagos, Nigeria I never knew railway transport still existed in Nigeria – Amaechi His words: “In fact, I think we have a problem; most people don’t believe that the railway transport is functioning in Nigeria. I didn’t even know, until I started this tour, I never knew that the railway was functioning, it was even from his (MD’s) speech that I learnt that there are some coaches or services that go to Kano or Port Harcourt or elsewhere...http://dailypost.ng/2015/12/16/i-never-knew-railway-transport-still-existed-in-nigeria-amaechi/ |
It didn't start today. That is theIr trademark. See similar propaganda below. In 2016 The Lagos Blue Light Rail is almost ready. See what the train looks like.
