IsraeliAIRFORCE:You don't know them. They don't care about details (it's doubtful if they know anything called details). They consume anything thrown at them voraciously without thinking. If the same 'policy' is denied or 'changed' tomorrow, you'll still see them writing their 'incantations' everywhere. |
Ha ha ha ha ha ha! NNPC ends oil deals through 'middlemen'. But the same NNPC will appoint 'consultants' (middlemen) to vet foreign refineries. Very laughable. |
But many vulnerable people on the street fervently believe that the cause of the present scarcity is because Buhari wants to reduce pump price to 50 naira. |
koboko69:Don't mind those clowns my friend. Don't let them expose your paranoia. They don't know that you are the only one allowed to UNWAIL in ecstasy whenever you experience a 24-hour round electricity supply. They don't know that they are prevented from 'wailing' just because Egbin thermal plant lost hundreds of megawatts. Something that Buhari's 'body-language' had fixed since. |
Darkness? Noooo! There's a new 'Muhammadu in town.' |
wink2015:Did Jonathan also cause the 'computer crash' that delayed the civil servants' October salaries? |
Is this why the computer suddenly crashed in Abuja? |
This could be very deliberate. Workers should not be surprised if they receive incomplete salaries. They will blame it on 'computer crash' with a promise to rectify it next month. Prepare for any surprises. |
luckyman1010:How about the new 'Mohammadu General of Federation'? |
Is name dropping the only thing left for Omojuwa now that APC didn't consider him fit for Buhari's Special Assistant on Twitter Affairs? |
Fourwinds:Is Aregbesola also a PDP governor? |
Is Shehu saying that what Fayose said is more grievous than what Buhari himself said last week in faraway India? Who has been 'demarketing Nigeria' (in Olisah Metuh's words) and has vowed to continue? Who has been calling Nigerians 'thieves, rogues, criminals etc.' all over the world? |
This is an overkill. NEPA bill is enough. |
Jesusloveyou:Small boy. They've scammed you sufficiently. Below is how even a Buhari supporting blog reported what happened on the 3rd day of Buhari's administration. Won ti gba e. http://saharareporters.com/2015/06/01/shocker-dpp-withdraws-graft-charges-against-ex-governor-timipre-sylva Shocker As DPP Withdraws Graft Charges Against Ex-Governor Timipre Sylva BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORK JUN 01, 2015 Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today clashed in a Federal Court with Nigeria’s Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) as the DPP showed up in court to quash corruption charges against former Governor Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State. The legal drama also had political ramifications as some observers pointed to the event as a reversal of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign promise to fight corruption. A lawyer representing the DPP, O.J. Nnadi, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), shocked the courtroom audience Monday as he moved a motion asking Justice E.S. Chukwu of the Federal High Court in Abuja to dismiss all the charges against the former governor. One lawyer in court told SaharaReporters that today’s incident “marks a disappointing abandonment by the new Muhammadu Buhari-led administration of its avowed policy of fighting corruption.” According to the lawyer, “Nigerians are going to view this development as a kind of political reward by the APC [All Progressives Congress] to one of its members, Chief Sylva. Unless this absurd situation is immediately reversed, the Nigerian people’s just expectation of a more vigorous crusade against corruption would have been dealt a huge blow.” Obviously taken by surprise by the controversial development, the EFCC’s counsel, J.A. Ojogbane, reminded the court that the anti-corruption agency had already begun preliminary arguments in the case. He added that he and the EFCC had not been briefed beforehand about the DPP’s plan to withdraw graft charges against Mr. Sylva. Justice Chukwu discharged and acquitted Mr. Sylva and ordered the EFCC to release his international passport to him. After the drama in court, the EFCC later stated that the agency had consolidated the charges against the former governor with the intention of filing new charges in the future. However, an EFCC source told SaharaReporters that the statement was only an attempt by the agency to save face after today’s embarrassing drama in court. The source said he feared that likely would be no new charges against Mr. Sylva, adding that the former governor may have been let off the hook because of his closeness to President Muhammadu Buhari. |
Jesusloveyou:You don't have basic understanding. President's don't send people to jail. They don't have such powers. The judiciary convicts. What presidents do is exercise the executive powers to investigate and prosecute in the courts. The accused is accorded his rights to answer to the charges. The courts proclaim a guilty or not guilty verdict. Sylva's case was withdrawn from court when Buhari took over. Audu's case has been running since he left office in '03. He has not been allowed to clear his name or convicted before being rewarded with a governorship ticket. Plus Debo Adeniran is saying that he has been sending his petition on Fashola and Mrs Adeosun to the EFCC for years now. He said he compiled them and sent to Buhari himself being a 'no-nonsense New Sherrif in Town' without any response. Does it not make sense if these gentlemen/woman are questioned like everyone? |
godox2:We won't tire responding to your many lame excuses after the fact. No one set any goals for Buhari. He used his own hands and head to carry his current load. He was aware that the 'treasury was virtually empty' long before contesting. He was aware that the crude oil price was seriously going down. Indeed, he boasted then of his super 'knowledge' of the oil sector, having served as a federal commissioner for petroleum under Obasanjo in the late '80s. He said he would 'stabilize' world oil price. Of the 'virtually empty treasury', he boasted that he would retrieve the $20b that Sanusi said is missing, collect all the 'stolen' money and 'block' all revenue leakages including crude oil theft. We heard that he started 'receiving' money back to the treasury with his 'body language' even before taking over. He traveled to the US and came back with the 'news' that not only will Nigeria's $150b 'stolen' money be returned, they've actually handed over to him the list of the 'corrupt' past government officials and their bank accounts. But, just a few months into his administration, it doesn't seem the treasury is anywhere near 'virtually full'. And the situation is so precarious now that he admitted that some of his ministers have been employed just to sit around. For a superman president like that, don't you think it's not out of place if people demand that he brings out his wand and perform the promised magic? |
Jesusloveyou:They were being prosecuted at different courts by the EFCC. Until suddenly, Sylva's case was withdrawn by the Attorney General's office, soon after Buhari was sworn in. While Audu has been rewarded with an APC governorship ticket, ostensibly to tamper with evidence (i.e. vital documents and witnesses) of his own prosecution, if he is elected and sworn in as governor. |
Dannyset: He was welcomed to Khartoum International Airport Sudan by Presidential Assistant to the Sudanese President Dr. Galal DignarIs this your definition of respect? Don't they have a vice president or a senior level cabinet minister in Sudan? |
OrlandoOwoh: Is that what he meant by he never met him before? What has heading the Niger Delta Ministry got to do with Buhari's statement of ever meeting Amaechi before? |
oz4real83:In reality, four years is one day at a time. Nothing stands still till the years roll by. And the economy is measured in daily productivity period. Then weeks and then months. And factories are closing, SMEs are folding up, jobs are being lost and families devastated. As much as you would like people to wait for four years like zombies without uttering a word, economic realities won't permit. For students and such dependants, it could be 'worth' the wait, afteall they still being fed, but productive adults and business owners and corporations don't have such luxury. |
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/we-cant-afford-to-pay-42-ministers-buhari/Is Buhari doubting he ever met Amaechi in his life? What kind of answer is this? They have traveled together many times. |
nwannaeto:Don't mind them. Nevertheless, kindly overlook Buhari and offer any help/support you have to Nigeria instead. Otherwise, the guy might just collapse this country on all of us. |
godox2:'Denial de·ni·al (dĭ-nī'əl) n. An unconscious defense mechanism characterized by refusal to acknowledge painful realities, thoughts, or feelings.' |
citizenisb:And yet, his slaves here and everywhere are busy talking irrationally. Meanwhile, Buhari should just admit his lack of capacity to govern a complex economy like Nigeria's. He should call for help or resign immediately. A smart president would be outlining his strategy to deal with the situation, not talking like someone looking for pity. |
chrisblack:Psychologists call your present mental state denial: 'Denial de·ni·al (dĭ-nī'əl) n. An unconscious defense mechanism characterized by refusal to acknowledge painful realities, thoughts, or feelings.' Don't worry, you will come around soon. Hunger teaches people sense more than cane. |
This government just have to come up with a loan proposal to the international lenders in the next couple of weeks. They just have to swallow whatever is left of their pride and admit that the job is bigger than them and seek for help quickly. It's obvious their delusional 'looted trillions' story is in the realm of sophisticated hallucination. Sharing just $390b as September revenue, with all the fabled 'blockage of leakages' is a sign that things are really getting out of hands. And then resorting to desperate measures like slamming a whooping $5.2b fine on MTN will only expose Nigeria to vicious attacks from the international business community. Given that this president is not known to have engaged in any major commercial activity in his entire life, apart from perhaps selling Suya and Fura de Nunu in Daura; not known to have any serious international political, economic, and diplomatic contacts/friends/influence beyond some retired/ancient military co-trainee; and lacking the requisite skill and sophistication to assemble the very best economic team beyond some known average-performed-media-packaged ex-governors and court jesters; navigating through the complex modern economic ecosystem will be a serious challenge. You don't need to be a prophet to know that by mid-January, if things remain the way they are, there would be serious political backlash even from the most ardent 'Sai-Baba' chanters. Propaganda loses its potency where real hunger pangs begin. |
What happened to the '£13b' found with Diezani? Why setup this fund when they can easily collect that from her? |
obailala:Don't mind those 'dullards'. How is it even conceivable to say the economy is 'nosediving'. Nosedive of Nigeria's economy bawo? They don't know that the economy is in the 'BEST' form since amalgamation of 1914. 24 hour-constant electricity supply now under the 'New Muhammadu in town'. They don't know nothing. |
disloman:Don't worry, they will soon start paying you 5000 naira stipend. You can then use some of it to enroll for English comprehension lessons at your Iragbiji village, there are some youth corps members there to assist you. It will save you this public embarrassment and reduce your high blood pressure. Cheers! |
trillville:Oh! Are you just knowing that? Didn't you people say all the 'stolen' money when 'collected' would compensate for the dwindling oil revenue? All the trillions and mega zillions 'looted' are still not in the country yet. |
trillville:Oga 'facts and figures'. After copying and pasting oil prices here and there, you've now found it extremely difficult to do a simple search on expenditure profile, why did you tire so soon? Check google on those expenditure and the 'megawatts'. Infrastructure upgrade is still ongoing in all the federal and state universities across the country, courtesy of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). ABU and Unilag that you mentioned benefited hugely from Jonathan's fiscal policies. It was part of the reasons ASUU went on strike for about 6 months, they insisted the federal government include even the state universities in their infrastructure upgrade. Comparing 3 year old universities' infrastructure with more than 50 year old ABU and Unilag is like comparing ABU and Unilag with Harvard - with a total $20b annual budget (that's about the entire annual budget of the federal government of Nigeria). You seem to be 'bitter' about people's success. When your oil prices propaganda doesn't seem to work, you are now trying to come after private jet owners. People have been buying private jets in Nigeria for ages. Many more people will still buy. You can buy too if you work hard and stop being hateful of success. Those people didn't wait for 5000 naira stipends from government, they got down with their lives and achieved what they achieved. |
247Dior:ah ha a! Suspended till when and why? Have the Chibok 'girls' been found now? You are even affirming the inconsistencies. Elections have been over now for 7 months, why is she still 'inactive'? Oby Ezekwesili is not devoid of 'sentimental judgment' too. They even had to LIE about a particular 'Chibok girl parent' until the security agents discovered it was a barefaced LIE. Those were some of the things they concocted to paint a government terribly bad. She has to live with any kind of 'sentiments' people judge her with. |
