Those of us who know sf Ojo, know that he deserves whatever is befalling him right now.

This guy has been carrying false news about Ogun State since Amosun's tenure began four years ago. He had been warned over and over again. He thinks the likes of Gbenga Daniel who had been backing him will suffice.

I personally had to delete him off my facebook list of friends when he kept becoming a nuisance especially during the last elections and he was campaigning for GEJ to return as the best President of Nigeria. I knew he was just an 'alatenuje' social media poster.

Now he is claiming that his facebook profile was hacked, and some mischievous elements planted the story on his facebook newsfeed.

I could have helped his case with the State Government, but he really needs to learn his lesson and go dust up his Mapoly certificate and make himself useful after this incident.

Eleweran is not an easy place to easily get out from once your case has been transferred there.
You are in a celebratory mood because a Nigerian was arrested for airing his views. What happened to suing him for libel and claim damages instead of using the police?

A similar thing has happened before concerning Ajimobi's wife. The newspaper was sued and they apologize to the woman along the line.

Nigeria is not a jungle that you people are making it to be.

EVILFOREST:
Good morning.
He has a POINT though and you also have a point.

But the most DISHEARTENING POINT is NIGERIA'S long exposure to BAD LEADERSHIP.

we have had leaders both FEDERAL and STATE levels who don't have any Idea or what it takes to transform quality economic policies into reasonable outcomes.

BAD LEADERSHIP.
IF only we had had sound LONG TERM PLANNING SKILLS in NIGERIA, we wouldn't have been caught unawares by this national mayhem called UNEMPLOYMENT.. Rather than blaming it on WOMEN employment and empowerment.

I prefer marrying an employable EMPOWERED lady than a slot who sits at home watching kenneth okonkwo movies. How do you expect such a lady to be CEREBRAL......?

The worst is we are still exposed to BAD LEADERSHIP.

NIGERIA as a nation since 1960 could have been well powered by LONDON'S HEATHROW AIRPORT which operates with 5000megawatts.

In 1960s,......... people were begged to go SCHOOLS and were trained by communities. Then we had MORE WHITE COLLAR OPPORTUNITIES waiting for them.

In 1975....The number of UNDERGRADUATES and GRADUATES started increasing with our USELESS LEADERS doing little to nothing to increasing the SPACES that will absorb them. Through investments and Agriculture as well as improving POWER to facilitate SME businesses.

In 1985... Our leaders still remained USELESS were just interested in COUPS and Creating JOBS through STATE CREATIONS, forgetting that NIGERIANS have embraced education and white collar Jobs.

In 1995. .. . Our EEDIOTS still persisted with clueless leaders who lacked the sense for long term planning and improving the POWER SECTOR.
we have had more eternally clueless LEADERS than GEJ.

In 2005.....POPULATON BURSTS with 2000megawatts
Graduates of white collar extractions with LIMITED JOB SPACES.

In 2015. ..... AGGRESIVE /FRUSTRATED YOUTHS becoming ubiquitous.

In 2020......SUICIDE becoming inevitable

MAY GOD PUNISH ALL OUR BAD LEADERS as well as the intending ones.

May their CHILDREN die painful deaths.

OP don't BLAME it on WOMEN... .. PLEASE

AMEN
Your points are well taken.

Nevertheless, some aspect of your thoughts might be exacerbating the problem than solving it. While not taking away your argument, it's worth pointing out that unemployment is a global phenomenon, especially graduate unemployment.

We can argue the 'uselessness' of Nigeria's leadership since 1960 but what about Nigerians who have migrated to countries that are better run than Nigeria? Are the females not affected by the issue we are discussing?

People all over the world are looking beyond government for solutions to this problem. Governments have shown the lack of capacity to tackle the issue having tried their best efforts.

Having said these, Nigeria's job climate is not as hopeless as it seems. And it doesn't depend entirely on provisions of any megawatt.

Unemployment is prevalent among the graduates (especially in the non-professional disciplines) than the artisans and other entrepreneurs. For example, there are not many jobless builders or stone masons currently. Neither are there many teachers who are unemployed. Unemployment rate in the nursing profession is arguably below 1%.

Following from these facts, there are key sectors of the economy witnessing growth and expansion where graduates can to look into and take advantage of the opportunities presented in the production/value chains. Health, Education, Agriculture and Housing/Construction.

Graduates must begin to acquire those skills they need to navigate these sectors. There's no doubt that many of them have to attend skills acquisition trainings. They would also need to take bold steps and quit the thinking of working in Lagos or bigger cities at all cost.

Anyone who has tried unsuccessfully to secure a job for 12 months should begin to think seriously of doing something else. If the job comes thereafter, well and good, if not, they would simply continue with what they are doing.

Read my post, did I mention only engineering jobs as professions where men dominate? You can't even compare the opportunities men have to women. As for the demography which you have stated again the same assumptions will be applicable since we do not have actual stats to back up figures, but from qualitative data available via social media, we still see the same pattern, men are dominant in specific fields while women are more in other fields, which by the way are not as high paying as fields where men dominate. For example, can you compare the salary of a lecturer to a primary school teacher? Or the salary of a customer care officer in a pharmacy to that of the Pharmacist who is most likely male?

The problem is the OP's thinking is skewed, he is lazy and lacks creativity, instead of looking for successful mentors to show him the way, he is blaming "Single women" for his woes, quit petty and highly unmanly of him I must say.
No you didn't. Some of the ones you mentioned are engineering/mathematics oriented though.

As I mentioned above, the problem exists. It's real. A young male lecturer (in your example) may not even marry his young female colleague, preferring to go for a 300L or 400L student leaving the colleague in a fix. Same applies to a young male pharmacist.

Even though the angle you are looking at it is touchy, you will best serve those who are eagerly looking for advice by ignoring his 'laziness'.

What rubbish, some women struggle hard to get a job and this mofo is here saying they had to sleep their way in.

The guy is probably a pastor or working as a counselor who encounters this huge social trend in the course of duty.

He may not be entirely right in some of his assumptions, but the intention seems genuine. He proffered some good solutions for instance.

Maybe you should look at the bigger picture and share your own perspective on the topic. Any solution will assist some people who don't know what to do about their situations. The impact of this problem will not begin to be felt until several years down the line.

Not a few so-called successful single ladies of yesteryears are dealing with serious mental health issues today as a result of the problem under review.

@OP, wow! kudos on your biased opinion. However i observed you mentioned most multinational companies employing women, you didn't take the time to actually verify your opinion, you only used one scenerio and one state #Lagos, how reasonable are your conclusions since you used unverified stats. That said, i don't see more women working in oil and gas or other technical fields, i don't see as many females as males in IT departments, as airline pilots, in shipping, in military, in paramilitary, in politics, in farming and other notable professions.

The issue is, you need to broaden your scope. I want to assume females are more in fields that suit our capacities e.g Marketing, Customer service, Teaching, why not focus on other areas if you are having difficulties getting employed in these fields. As a lady, i know i will not be given preference over a man if i choose a career as a Merchant Sailor, we still haven't reached that level of equality yet and i am not bothered by it, if i really want to be a Merchant sailor, i'll have to take my chances knowing what is on ground. Please redirect your frustrations somewhere else as i really don't think single ladies are responsible for your issues.

I don't even know why all these media outfits are giving PDP hope. As far as this country is concerned PDP will not lead the Senate. I don't know many of those senators that is as smart as Bukoka  Saraki, who wants to get into the black book of Buhari /Tinubu  not even David Mark. How many people saw this Saraki's trial coming from the angle of CCB, not even Saraki himself. Almost all the senators are corrupt because it was easy to be corrupt during the past 16 years of PDP ruling, so there is always a way to nail anyone when the need be. So I can confidently confirm that all these surface analysis would have worked only if all things were equal in the past the way it starts to be now,  if this country had been freed of corruption in the past 16 years, if stealing had been seen as corruption in the past. PDP gave APC the platform they are riding on now and I trust Asiwaju to crush anyone standing on the riding track. PDP would have become a Senate President if Politic was mathematics but nay politics ain't mathematics. The only person that will ever lead the Senate will have to be the anointed candidate of Buhari/Tinubu. Just watch as events unfold.

The so-called conversation never happened. Don't believe everything you hear - especially when such appears to make no sense. Why will Buhari, with all he is facing, grant the husband of Allison-Madueke an audience? With many world leaders wishing to meet the leader of the biggest black nation on earth we are to believe Buhari has time for Allison-Madueke's husband? This super story is the sort only Nigerians can believe. The Nigerian press is mischievous, corrupt and deceptive. In Nigerians, they have the perfect people to practise their 'brown envelope' deception on.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!

But did you not believe the media phantom claims about Buhari then?

Some of those lies that got Buhari elected in part are listed below;

1) Buhari is the only ex-Head of State with only two houses, one in Daura and one in Kaduna.

2) Buhari is the only ex-military leader without a house in Abuja.

3) Buhari is the only ex-Head of State who returns half of his pension back to government.

4) Buhari's first daughter is married to a Christian man from Anambra State (even Osinbajo said this publicly).

5) Buhari has a masters degree from the US War College.

Why not let's watch and see how things play out with Madueke first.

we've witnessed high level of corruption and wastage, in the past few years. I don't know how but I know within 30 days my generator have stopped working talk less of the huge amount of money this sector has gulped in the past 16Years in the range of 16 billion dollars. when we were in school, we were taught about efficiency I.e saving for the rainy days. I know that Nigeria made huge proceeds from oil in d last few years but what do we have nothing. Do you know that American military have decided to help nigerian government on arms, which they refused to do before due to issues of corruption and compromise. Aside that , America wants to start importing crude from us once more. In addition, having ministers in itself is nothing, but having strong institution is everything and I believe taking your time and not fast in settling inside a rotten system makes all the difference. and about 2.2 billion you mentioned, I don't know how you arrived at those figures, perhaps it's the figment of your imagination. Anyway, we are happy that stealing is now corruption .

'Stealing is now corruption' but declaring an 'unknown' property as asset is not yet corruption.

Boko Haram/ISIS's bold advances to cripple the country's economic power is indeed a result of 'collaboration' with the US. They have not only 'decided' to help Nigeria with arms, they have 'decided' to relocate the weapons manufacturing plants to Daura in Nigeria.

The US is not only 'going' to start buying Nigeria's oil, they are 'going' to stop all their fracking activities at home. In fact, they are 'going' to buy Nigerian oil only.

Within only 100 days, Nigeria's power generation capacity has increased to 100,000 mw. Not only is your generator not sounding in the night, all the factories in Agbara, Nnewi, Kaduna and Kano have sold off their generators. In Ibadan, Enugu, Benin, Damaturu no generator sound can be heard for the past 30 days. Their savings accounts are now so full that bankers are telling them to stop bringing more because of lack of capacity in their vaults and at the CBN.

Subsidies on petroleum products have stopped, oil tankers have now been removed from Nigeria's waters, their contracts revoked. NNPC refineries are working in FULL capacity, they are now exporting refined petrol to India, and 'going' export to USA.

Workers salaries have been paid fully. Federal workers who receive their salaries on the 25th of each month before are now receiving them in advance.

Private sectors workers' are getting pay increase. New workers are being hired. Nigeria 'will' soon start advert for workers from Ghana and Congo Brazzaville.

Kidnappers and armed robbers have now relocated to Njamena, Chad. The country is too hot for them.

Ministers? Those noise makers. Don't they know that the civil servants are the authors of APC government's policies? How dare the 'noise makers' want to come and implement the policies that the civil servants wrote? Have they ever heard of North Korea where the 'Leader' just instruct the civil servants to implement ideas from his HEAD? Don't they know that the constitution was referring to the civil servants where it says regular meetings of the FEDERAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL must be held?

http://thenationonlineng.net/angry-worshippers-attack-saraki-emir-ex-minister-dignitaries/

Angry worshippers on Thursday attacked the President of the Senate, Dr. Olusola Saraki , the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, and many political figures at the Eid Praying Ground in Ilorin in protest against the state of the economy of Kwara.

The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alh. Muhammadu Bashir was not spared the wrath of the protesters.

Others who were victims of the spontaneous mob action were ex- Minister Bolaji Abdullahi, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Ali Ahmad, ex-Speaker Razak Atunwa( now a member of the House of Representatives) Rep Amuda Kannike, a former National Chairman of the PDP, Alh. Kawu Baraje, the Taliban of Ilorin, Prof. Oba Abdulraheem, members of the State House of Assembly, all the Baloguns, Magajis and prominent leaders in Ilorin Emirate

The protesters were said to be angry because of non-utilization of the bail out funds given to the state by the Federal Government to offset workers’ salaries.

They alleged that the bail out funds were used to offset the bill incurred on crowning Saraki as the President of the Senate.

Although the prayer was fixed for 10am, there was tension as early as 8am at the Eid Praying Ground.

It was evident that most worshippers were out for showdown because initial sermon segment of the Sallah celebration fell on deaf ears.

As Saraki and others arrived the praying ground, there was intermittent shout of “Ole! Ole!! Ole!!!(Thief, thief, thief).

Others were shouting “Ebi n pa wa!” “Ebi yii tito Saraki!””A o ki run, e fun wa lounje”( We are hungry, enough of hunger Saraki, give us food, teach us how to fish.”

The thunderous vituperations were hardly subsided when stones and missiles were thrown at the dignitaries.

The police, security agents, and members of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps, battled spiritedly to curtail the protesters who remained defiant.

There were sporadic firing of teargas canisters by the police and security agents.
After about 30-minute protest, temporary calm was restored which gave way for the observance of the two Nafilats( prayers).

But as the dignitaries were filing out , the protesters started hurling missiles again.
As at press time, there was tension in Saraki’s camp over who was responsible for the attack.

Ahmed, who was probably aware of security reports, went to Share, his hometown, to observe the prayers.
