marod: “For example, the Fulani militia attacked communities in Takum and Ussa on May 6, 2017. The crisis led to the abandonment of 224 cattle belonging to the Fulani herdsmen.
“The Taraba State Government took possession of these cows and handed them over to the Commanding Officer for safe keeping until the owners return to collect. This was meant to be a ploy to get the perpetrators of the crisis arrested. Sadly, the Commanding Officer released the cows without arresting anybody"
If we could be more objective and reasonable, does this shows that they were attacking or that they were under attack. May God save the voiceless oppressed. You have a point here. We can only be sure after an independent investigation. But what do you have to say about the attacks in Benue State: Both the Agatu and the ongoing ones. Your Army is obviously colluding with the Fulani killers. No doubt about that. What is going on is ethnic cleansing by the Fulani taking advantage of the fact that a tribalist Fulani is President. |

A responsible, normal human being should not wait to be told to arm themselves against clear and present danger. I don't expect the Governor to publically tell Nigerians to arm themselves. People should use their common sense or get exterminated by the Federal Government organized terror group masquerading as Fulani herdsmen. |

As for this junky spewing thrash, it's just ten months to the total annihilation of him and all his useless grandfathers who put us where we are today. I'm sure the Igbos have not forgotten. Nwabobo, thanks a bunch for posting this article from The Cable. I didn't know about Chris Mayrock and Steve Jobs support for us in Biafra. God bless their souls. Whites are generally closer to God than blacks. I used to view Whites as racist generally, until my room mate in college in US, who is White told me about how his mom made him and his siblings donate food and clothings to be sent to the starving children in Biafra. His mom would scold them for wasting food while children are starving to death in Biafra. I felt eternally grateful. Nigeria will never recover from the civil war as long as they keep living in denial of the atrocities they committed against Biafra. I forgive Gowon, Danjuma and co. But Karma is real. We should always strive to be on the side of truth. That war should not have happened. Gowon and Co should have kept to the Aburi Accord. Buhari and the Fulani seem bent on leading Nigeria into the second and final civil war which will definitely lead to the disintegration of Nigeria. It is good that an influential person like Danjuma is speaking out. More people like him need to speak out so that Buhari will not succeed in finally destroying Nigeria. |

Ironically, what Danjuma revealed was not different from Nnamdi Kanu's revelation in 2014. Sadly no one took him serious. Today Nnamdi Kanu's revelations is unfolding before our own very eyes! There's a secret plan by jihadist to orchestrate genocide and ethnic cleansing across Nigeria using elements within Federal govt, Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) Police, Immigration, and Nigerian army for cover and protection. I believe that Buhari and his Fulani cabals descended heavily on Nnamdi Kanu because he actually hit the nail on the head. He revealed what they wanted to keep secret from Nigerians. |

Politics › Re: "Take Danjuma's Warning Serious" - APC Chairman In Scandinavia Advises FG by poseidon12: 10:42pm On Mar 25, 2018 |
Nasiruddeen: I will understand TY Danjuma's outrage if he was referring to the killings in Benue where the herdsmen are more of culprits than victims. But talking about Taraba where Danjuma's people massacred about 700 fulanis including women and children is absurd to say the least.
The Taraba anti-Fulani pogrom was so barbaric that the military commander GOC Ben Ahanotu, who is Igbo and Christian, confessed to have never seen such 'gruesome devastation' in his entire military career. Children were hacked to death and even pregnant wombs were not spared.
Fulani leaders, through the emir of Kano have since submitted a report with evidence detailing the extent of the destruction on Fulani lives and properties, with video evidence of how officials at the state level (who are Danjuma's people and political boys), aided and abetted the genocide. Danjuma's failure to leverage on his relationship with Buhari to stop the investigations precipitated his outburst.
Danjuma claimed he is not a politician, but Taraba politics have turned this once brilliant soldier and elder statesman into a bigoted politician of the worse kind. We have seen the role he played during the tragedy that befell Danbaba Suntai in his bid to stop Danbaba's Muslim deputy from succeeding his dying and incapacitated boss.
In their desperate efforts to stop Buhari from re-contesting, leaders like Danjuma, Obasanjo and Babangida are eager to destroy a country that has given them everything. Their patriotism only goes as far as their individual self-interests. Given the right political temperature and pressure, those guys have tolerated the worst assault on Nigeria's sovereignty.
What Danjuma and company should understand is, Buhari may go either before, during or after his second term, but Nigeria will always remain. It is the country that gives them everything that will be there to deal with the consequences of their bigoted politicization of national security problems.
The Nigerian military is the sole remaining symbol of Nigeria's unity and neutrality, with its officers and men fighting together, winning, losing, dying and surviving together. By seeking to undermine that institution, Danjuma is directly biting the finger that fed him. At least, the army today is more neutral and less political than the one he commanded after the civil war.
Calling for communities to rise against the state in defense of themselves is an invitation to anarchy and insurrection. No community will be able to do so in a country where chaos and disorder (as Danjuma is preaching) are the order of the day. Ethnic militias will only lead to a vicious cycle of violence that will leave our people more divided, our societies more destroyed and our country more backward.
Nigeria's problems anywhere are Nigeria's problem everywhere. An attack against one single community should be regarded as an attack against all Nigerian communities. No single Nigerian community can enjoy peace in isolation. It is either we survive together or perish together. So how do you explain the fact that the Army and Police (but especially the Army) seem to collude with the Fulani killers. It's the same pattern everywhere they attack: Enugu, Benue, Taraba etc. The Army and Police would usually disappear just before attacks, and appear after the attacks to arrest and disarm the local vigilantes. And they never go after the killers. Also how do you explain the fact that the security services are controlled by just a section of the country, for a multi ethnic country like Nigeria, with the accompanying rivalry? Is it a coincidence? Discerning Nigerians should resist Buhari's ethnic cleansing agenda as advised by T. Y. Danjuma. It's your Buhari that is dividing the country with his tribalism. I'm not surprised you are happy with what he is doing. Birds of the same feather. |

However, whoever thinks that pmb is on any ethnic cleansing mission is more foolish than Nnamdi KANU and Ojukwu combine. History has it that the Fulani killed more people when Jonathan held sway, was he also on ethnic cleansing mission against his Christian fellows and other Nigerians? it's obvious those useless and corrupt retired old cargoes have all decided to gang up against pmb in order to remove him, but they can never succeed as long as pmb does not commit any atrocity against the good people of this country, they are just wasting there time. You are obviously a fool. |

TrumpedL: A lot of people are yet to understand that the meaning of good governance is relative across ideological divides of Nigeria. To a typical Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa/Idoma/Ijaw etc, good governance might be provision of good policies, infrastructure development, etc whereas a typical fanatical yoruba/hausa/fulani/ebira/igbo might see good governance as government that promotes fulani domination of other tribes/beliefs/way of life, etc
Stop using your own personal standard/expectations to judge Buhari and his supporters. The definition of good governance differs We are talking about ethnic cleansing and you are talking about good governance. I guess you will understand better when it is your community's turn to get attacked by Fulani killers, backed by the Army. |

DonMekino: DAPCHI GIRLS SAGA: THE FLYING DIMENSION SURELY RAISES FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS! I initally decided not to write on the Dapchi Kidnapping saga because I just wanted to "enjoy" what others were writing on it. But that changed I after I read that the girls were flown in planes.
Planes?
Now, let us look at some scenarios:
* If it was just an airstrip (and not conventional airport) that was used, who gave the militant's air traffic clearance to take off and land?
*Most planes that can sit more than 50 passengers use turbine engines and usually need conventional airports to land and take off, so does it mean Boko Haram now has an airport with full complement of control tower and air traffic controllers?
* The closest airfield to Dapchi is in Diffa which is about 200 kilometres from Dapchi. The other conventional airport is in Maiduguri. It may interest you to know that Diffa is in Niger Republic.
* If you check the two pictures (taken via Google Earth) that accompany this post, you will see that the closest airport (or even airstrip), within Nigeria, to Dapchi is the Maiduguri airport.
* Does it mean the girls were first taken to Niger Republic before being flown back to Nigeria.
* Between Diffa (in Niger Republic) and Nigeria, there is a big stream which actually forms the boundary between the two countries. So if they were taken to Diffa by road from Dapchi, how did they cross?
Now the questions:
* Which airport was used to convey the girls in a plane?
* No aircraft can fly in any country's airspace without being picked up by the radar. How come they were not seen via radar?
* Even if you visit flyradar24.com, you will see every aircraft that is airborne in any country at that particular minute. Did anyone see their plane?
I am a reporter. I have put these scenarios and questions across so that readers and commentators can draw their own conclusions.
And it is these scenarios and unanswered questions that make the tales of one Sergeant Bako a bit worthy of being read again even if they sound like moonlight stories.
Happy Palm Sunday... Thanks for these interesting questions you raised. I hope the APC supporters could provide answers. It's becoming more obvious that this kidnap was organized by Buhari and his inner circle. No doubt about that. |
