Reading the back and forth arguments going on about this report, I need to make an observation. I think this report is more about economic security than freedom from crime and violence.
The report is basically saying that there is less poverty in the south east than in any other region in Nigeria. There should be no doubt about that because the south east commands the highest income per capita. Reasons for that are obvious.
The report is definitely not about the level of crime in each region but about the level of poverty.
This is good news for the south east. I hope this encourages the SE governors to even do better than they are doing now.

The kind of cross sectional laws Nigeria makes can be amazing sometimes.
The debate on date of expiration of tires is still ongoing even among manufacturers. Michelin, Bridgestone and continental tire manufacturers tell you their tires expire after ten years. Some safety groups say six years but its still a suggestion. Nigerian Government now tells you its 4 years, where did they do their research? or do they believe every bodies uses GT tires or all other cheap chinese products?
Usage of tires is also a factor. If i buy tires and put 10,000km on it annually, and my friend does the same but only puts 2000km on them, how can both of us change tires at the same time after 4 years? Besides some chinese products will not even give you this four years of active service they are talking about.

Don't mind the ignoramuses we have in government. They would not focus on providing safe, smooth roads. They only focus on what will help them extort money from the citizens.

This is not about resource control. An Ijaw man was in power supported by the SE for 5 years what did he do? He empowered militants like Tompolo while Dieziani looted the country blind. HE had the highest oil revenue in history .What did he do with it?.He failed to clean up Ogoniland. he failed to develop even his own Otuoke.
So stop deceiving yourself that this has anything to do with resource control.

The bulk of violence you see in Nigeria has everything to do with the political structure of the country and resource control of course. The injustice and inequity are too much. Nigerians have to be sincere to themselves in order to bring about peace.
Every region is important and must be given a sense of belonging. Nigeria's problems cannot be solved with military might.
We need a president that understands these points. Unfortunately we have a tribalist and tyrant as president who erroneously thinks that he and his ethnic group own Nigeria because he is president. Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians. And which intelligent leader would openly disrespect the region that provides the country the bulk of its revenue?

If truely the lady has engaged in extra marital affair then she is very very wrong. You can't be cheating on your husband then still lives under the same roof with him, she was even explaining over the fone about the sex shed with another man and her husband heard everything, that's too bad, on a more serious note, no man would accept that from any lady, well I do not support the killing.

I can see lies all over this killer's story. First he says his wife provoked him by confessing to cheating on him. Then he claims he did not kill her because he has no motive to do so. Yeah right.
He also claims he only pushed away his wife's hand on the stairway, on Thursday. Yet he says he came back Friday to see the wife still lying on the same spot but still thought the wife was pretending. Wonderful!
He claims the son locked the door and yet neighbours had to break the door to gain entry after the kids started shouting. Of course he locked the door and took the keys with him after killing the woman.
You need to do a better job and cook up a more convincing story.

Did you read what the neighbours said about the man constantly beating her? The man has been abusive. The wife is dead and suddenly the man is on the run. It's obvious the man is the killer. The police just need to get the evidence together to prosecute and have him convicted.

The same paper reported last month that Boko haram is defeating Nigerian Army at a time when boko haram has been heavily defeated and overwhelmed. Point out exactly where the Daily Mail is wrong in their report. You have got yourself a hypocrite and corrupt man as president. It's very obvious. You advise that people should not take the Daily Mail seriously. Which of the dailies should we take seriously?

There's no signs of struggle as can be seen on her body, the shadow cast over her neck, makes it a little hard to tell if there's sign of strangulation but I don't see any.

That the husband is missing doesn't automatically make him a murderer, I don't think it's fair to just conclude without proving he murdered her.

Good move by the Abia State government on security. I especially like the establishment of the vigilante service to do community policing duties. They should give them proper training and arm them too. Every community should be in a position to defend themselves when necessary.

He claims he belongs to nobody and everybody but in an interview said he will concentrate on the 97% that voted him to the detriment of the 5% that didn't. Most of his core appointments have been from the North. Haven't you realised that it is during Buhari’s current govt that ethnic and religious crises have been on a rise? The shiites massacre, the Agatu killings, the Mile 12 Hause/Yoruba clash, the Enugu attack and the recent Aba riot. This is simply because Buhari is a tribalist and never a nationalist. He's the king in the north! He's not the true king of a united Nigeria.

I simply do not understand these are all 'lies' or 'true'. None of these accused or alleged persons have approached the court for redress. When Abike Daberi was accused of being part of those owing banks, she went to court and bank had to apologies and they withdrew their earlier claims.
