Great!. The southern governors need to encourage private cattle ranching in their states. This would render the Fulani herdsmen irrelevant in the south and reduce the incessant attack by the Fulani terrorists. |

It's about time. Nigerians need to rise up and take drastic action against the Fulani terrorists. We should stop expecting tribalist Buhari to protect us. He is president of the north after all. The state houses of assembly should pass laws to ban nomadic cattle grazing. We need to declare, by law, the nomadic cattle grazers as outlaws in the south. |

Viktor1983: Every community/neighborhood in Anambra has a state sponsored vigilante outfit, equipped with trucks and shot guns ....These were put in place during Peter obi's tenure... also continued when willie came on board... The vigilante in the cities are funded by the state and small contributions from locals. The ones in the villages are strictly handled by the state...Where I live in onitsha( one major street and 8 adjoining lanes) can boast of 25 security men armed with shot guns.... I won't say it's enough but ,we are better off than places who only rely on the police. You are right. Every community in Nigeria need to have an organized vigilante system overseen by the state government. We don't seem to be security conscious in Nigeria. I noticed that in Anambra State, even when you are organizing a social event, there is security presence. |
Politics › Re: Eyewitness Account Of Fulani Attack In Enugu State......(photos)...Greatiyk4u by poseidon12: 12:37am On Apr 28, 2016 |
months: All well meaning Nigerians have a duty to reject the National Grazing Reserve Bill.
The consistency in violent attack of the Fulani Herdsmen since Nigeria elected a Fulani President in 2015 are no coincidence. They are calculated attempt to persuade Nigerians of the need to expand fulani territorial sphere of influence nationwide. Election time, a small group of fulani army will be in position to intimidate the native on the party to vote to avoid attacks.
As i type, there are more than enough green field in the North that the Fulani have refused to use for grazing. The Fulani never attack muslim communities in the North but are prone to attack Christian communities, buring down homes and Churches.
The burning of Churches underlies a religious incentive and motivation for the attacks of Christian communities in their ancestral homes. The islamisation agenda of the Fulani core North have entered phase 2. The first wave of attacks were from Boko Haram religated to the border of Chad by the GEJ administration. The second wave of attack is by Fulani Herdsmen aka Boko Haram. It is no news that majority of Boko Haram fighters are actually Fulani.
Fulani Herdsmen are not indigenous to Nigeria, they are invaders that subverted the indigenous Hausa communities. Fulani have their homeland in Mali. However, under the proposed National Grazing Reserve Bill which creates a council to be chaired by a Fulani Chairman to be appointed by the president. The council shall have the power to take your land anywhere the land is located in the country and then pay you compensation. Your land, when taken, shall be assigned to herdsmen who shall use your land for grazing purposes. They shall bring cows to the land and you shall lose the land permanently to those Fulani cattlemen".
In this sense, natives will lose the land and fulani will own (gain) the land across the country. If your land has oil or gold, the government will hand it to Fulani and drive you away from the land. Maybe you can go and stay on top water or jump into the ocean, since you have suddenly become landless. There is no guarantee that you will get any compensation in your life time or after death.
The Fulani are muslim and this means that Sharia court will be set up, alongside mosques in their new community and land. The Fulani would have gained a foot hold and forward operating base to attack indigenous Christian communities. They will no longer be guest on the land but land owners. The National Grazing Reserve Bill is invitation to subvert and destroy communities in the North central and South.
Fulani and their cows should be handed Sambisa Forest with its green pastures, that territory is enroute to Mali. You are on point. A lot of Nigerians are naïve and gullible. If that bill is passed, we might be looking at another civil war because some sections of the country might decide to leave. |

ogorwyne: Nigerians nor chop 'nama' meat in a day? It will be so difficult. I wish we could do that. The message would indeed be a strong one. The states in the south need to get creative. Apart from boycott, the southern governors can start encouraging the setting up of cattle ranches by the local farmers. This would render the Fulani herdsmen irrelevant in the south. |

ogorwyne: My people have really suffered. Those fulani people have already taken a part of obiaruku already. They now have a community there. Fulanis are taking over every part of the country by the day. No fear, no caution. Is this what the change is about? If they kill everybody because of cattle, who will buy their cows? Southerners are still their number 1 customers. God help us. For ever shouting Sai Buhari last year, I ask for Forgiveness. He is also a herdsman. No matter the plight of Nigerians, his family is secured. So long as his people are the oppressors, he has no problem. We can at least start boycotting beef from Fulani herdsmen. That should send a strong message. Can the average Nigerian muster enough discipline to do that? |

BreketeMind: For those of u who don't know, this is what is happening: Buhari is angry that Boko Haram is only in the North & decided to use the opportunity of his Presidency to unleash terrorism on the South. How then do you explain the acute rise in herdsmen attack since Buhari came into Aso Rock coupled with continued presidential silence over it all & the obvious gross official protection these terrorists-in-herdsmen-uniform have been enjoying? Buhari is planning a genocide down South like this: he will use 'herdsmen' BH to gradually provoke some Southerners to go all out in reprisal. Then, he will send BH in Nig Army against those Southerners to kill them off under the guise of peace keeping. Readers, u may never hear from me after this. But pls, spread this bitter truth no matter how d forces of darkness try to muzzle it - 4 try, they surely will. Let the whole Universe hear this glaring truth. Let those who'd do something do something & let the rest be afraid to die. Yet, they'd die all d same. You are on point. |

jmichlins: you are lying with that figure. There are perks that come with leadership position my friend whether you like it or not. This car was bought for the union so all things being equal, next chairman of the union will continue driving this car. If what you have come here to do is to discredit #occupynass then tell your pay masters that we know better And you don't think there are also perks that come with being a senator? So when they went to buy a vehicle for the union leadership, they did not see something below a Land Cruiser? Like RAV4, Honda CRV, or a KIA brand. In Nigeria a Land Cruiser would be for a rich individual. I am not supporting the profligacy by the senators. They are already well paid and can afford to buy themselves the cars they want. But we need to point out bare faced hypocrisy when we see one. I hope the NLC president came to the protest ground with his Land Cruiser. |

DropShot: Very unfortunate.
While I will support anyone to criticize and urge the govt to act very swiftly against the terrorists called Fulani herdsmen, this reality is the more reason to support the govt in its bid to establish controlled ranches across Nigeria.
Chest-beating and bragging (just like the guy below) that these terrorists will be dealt with should they come to carry out their act of terrorism of maiming and killing innocent citizens will not solve any problem but instead worsen it. They are terrorists and you bragging to face them are not. So, who wins?
The herdsmen, from time immemorial, have been known to be violent and act irrationally. The only difference now is the advent of social media and better news coverage. While growing up, I could recollect some of their atrocities I witnessed. The so called controlled ranches should be restricted to your area, please. |

A central air conditioner would normally require a 3-phase power supply. In Nigeria, a lot of time there would be light on one or two phases and no light on the other phase or two. That is why people keep switching the phases to get connected to the phase with light. If you have a central a.c., it would have a hard time working properly under such situations. You will need to have light on all 3 phases. |
