I can see why Chief Offor is unhappy with his first wife, Nkiru and her children. She comes across as a bad mother; buying a Range Rover for a jobless son with little education and probably no useful skills. How will he maintain the car? Emeka Offor, as a father should, expects his son to be a responsible man of his own. Emeka Offor is screwed obviously. We all should be very careful who we get married to or else you will know no peace in your home. |

Chocho4real: Jonathan led adminstration tried it with the name "REBRANDING" someone should pls tell me where it ended up? Everything seems to be wrong with our country, so where will the restructuring begin! Not true. There has never been any real attempt at restructuring Nigeria by any civilian administration. And I don't think any sitting president will agree to restructuring because that will dilute his absolute power. Our only option would be for the national assembly to do it and pass law that would require the incoming president to implement it, whether he likes it or not. Restructuring is the only way Nigeria can be saved from disintegration. |

TheGoodJoe: I hope SaharaReporters clarify if the claim of Lt. Gen. Buratai is true. Does he own part of the property or hundred percent of it?
SaharaReporters started this quest. They should either end or continue it. The government is talking nonsense. SR do not need to explain further. It's an apartment that they bought. The apartment is part of several other apartments in a large building. Of course General Buratai did not buy the whole building (which contains several apartments). It's investment property. This type of investment is common in financially developed countries. The issue is not whether they bought the whole building or just an apartment. The issue is that he invested $1.5million which is suspected to be corruptly acquired. |

sukkot: army boys dont necessary have to loot to be rich
i had a friend in the army who was posted to ibadan. during that petrol scarcity they were in charge of all the filling stations and everyone had to pay him to get petrol. on a day at that gas station and gas stations all over ibadan he was making like 10,000 dollars. this whole exercise lasted for 3 months or so. this was a little while back. my nigga went to england and bought a house cash down with the money. he must have made 2 million dollars. point being army boys dont necessarily have to loot to have 1.5 million houses in dubai. they extort from the public Is there any difference between looting public money and extorting money from the public? It's very obvious that the funds General Buratai used in buying those Dubai properties are proceeds of corruption. Mr Buhari should let Nigerians know if he's actually fighting corruption or just witch hunting political opponents. |

ArcIbrahim38: yeah I agree with all what you said but what I don't agree with is we need to be RECOLONISED more appropriately RE-ENSLAVED for what....please read a book by the name HOW EUROPE UNDERDEVELOPED AFRICA Yeah, I know about that book by Walter Rodney. I have to make out time to read it. And I think every one of us should read it. I agree with the general premise of the book about how Africa has been kept backward by the colonialists. But today it is us, the elites, who are under developing Africa. All the elites do is embezzle money here and transfer to Europe, Asia or North America. And if any of these people are accused, people take sides based on which ethnic group they belong to. We need to start being objective for a change. We cannot continue to blame the mess we make on colonialists who have done well for their country and themselves. We need to start taking responsibility for our mess. |

Damola00: But is there anything wrong if someone buy a property. Definitely nothing wrong with that, unless you bought it with stolen government money. And that is the issue here with General Buratai buying property in Dubai for 200million Naira. The information Sahara Reporters provided shows that Buratai bought those properties with illegally acquired fund. If you don't have any problems with that, then you should not criticize other ranking government officials who also acquired expensive properties. |

Don't these people have any shame??
It is really disgusting. These same idiots would be the ones screaming their heads off if, paradventure, the medium runs a story that exposes the rot that was Jonathan's regime later in the evening. They'd tell you everything about how SR is being sponsored by Tinubu and APC. Mr. objective let us focus on the topic here. What do you think about the revelations by Sahara Reporters on Buratai? |

ArcIbrahim38: you think the colonial bastards are not corrupt.....guy they are the ones who invent it....dont forget currently London is the World's money laundering capital Yeah right. How much have the "colonial bastards" stolen from their countries and deposited in Nigeria? There is rule of law in London. If the mayor of London or prime minister of U.K. is accused of corruption, there is a transparent machinery in place to deal with it. If allegation is true, culprit goes to prison. Over here, the accuser goes to prison. We need to change. We are beyond corrupt. I guess we are fantastically corrupt. With the information Sahara Reporters provided so far on Buratai, in a sane environment, he would be facing thorough investigation and resignation. But here the Army that should be carrying out investigation is already defending him. Shame on us. |

rotimileke: I don't really care if you probe APC members or not for corruption because I know that corruption is not the number one enemy of Nigeria. We blame every of our woes on corruption and that way celebrate corruption. we have a foundational problem but we continue to adjust the roof of our collapsing structure. The very problem of Nigeria are these people who cannot decipher our problems. They are just confused. The nation is coming to an eminent end and they are too blind to see the coming reality. If Nigeria is ever going to remain a single indivisible entity then the implementation of the recommendations of the national conference report is a must especially as regards true federalism and forms of governance. Buhari should not learn everything from experience, it will do him lot of good if he learn from the errors of others. Nigerians deserve better! Don't mind them. They think they are clever. Arrogant fools. They will just waist four years doing nothing. |

Wealthgang: A calibre of soldier like Buratai with his salary, allowances, bonuses etc can well afford a property in Dubai. Its no biggie.
He declared d asset in d asset declaration form as well as how he paid for it instalmentally. This shows transparency.
Ordinary civil servants can own property if they plan wisely (Loans, cooperatives, fixed deposits, buying n selling lands etc). I guess you guys have to leave Diezani Alison Madueke alone. She can also afford the properties she is rumored to own. Of course Buratai cannot afford to buy a property in Dubai worth 200 million Naira on his Nigerian General's salary. Are you kidding? |
