Well, from Buhari's pronouncements to mark his one year in office, it does not seem he has learnt any lessons yet. That means his tomorrow might still be as bad as his yesterday.

Nice gesture from Buhari. That was presidential. Although corruption thrived under GEJ (just as it did under previous regimes), GEJ is a statesman and must be accorded respect.
Buhari now needs to start running an inclusive government. He needs to start acting like the president of Nigeria and not the president of the North. He should stop listening to the narrow minded fools around him. And he needs to apologize for that unfortunate 97% versus 5% statement. The action of the Niger Delta Avengers should make him understand that you cannot disrespect any section of the country and hope to have smooth sailing administration. Nigeria belongs to all of us including the SS and SE.

Listen to yourself. How come the military did not level the North East communities? It's people like you that have been deceiving Buhari with bad advice. The FG has no other alternative than to listen to the grievances of the oil producing communities. Even the British Foreign Minister advised Buhari to do that. Even the British Foreign Minister observed recently that after almost one year in office, Buhari has not deemed it necessary to visit the South South region, a very important part of Nigeria from where Nigeria derives most of its revenue. He also has not visited the South East.
This guy has become the most divisive and sectional president of Nigeria so far. He is definitely not for everybody as you claimed.

This is how I understand the benefit.

Had it been Buhari did not become president:

1. We will think that by now fuel will be #45 per litre.

2. We will think that by now #1 will be equal to $1.

3. We will think that by now three million jobs would have been created.

4. We will think that by now unemployed youths would have been receiving #5,000.00 stipends.

5. We will think that by now pupils would have been getting at least a meal(including fruits) in school.

6. We will think that by now Buhari would have made his assets and liabilities public.

7. We will think that by now 720,000 jobs by the 36 states in the federation yearly (20,000 per state) would have been created.

8. We will think that by now there would be permanent peace in the Niger Delta and other conflict prone areas such as Plateau, Taraba, Bauchi, Borno and Abia.

9. We will think that by now the government would have started creating additional middle-class of at least two million new home owners in the first year in government and one million annually thereafter.

10. We will think that by now maternal and children healthcare services would be free.

The Benue State government needs to organize a trained and armed vigilante service to combat this Fulani herdsmen menace. They should stop looking up to the federal government to help them. We all have the right to self defence; you do not need the constitution to spell that out for you. If the governor can not do something about this menace, he should resign or be impeached.

Buhari is already prosecuting those who stole at the federal level, state should please join the fight against corruption by prosecuting those who stole state funds.
