cktheluckyman:
Tompolo would not stupid enough to hand himself over after seeing how Buhari disregarded the courts orders to free Kanu,Akpokolemi and Dasuki.
Exactly. Also I believe the FG would find it difficult to extradite those accused people that decide to escape to western countries because of Buhari's disregard for the fundamental rights of accused persons.

Enang is only playing a script. after the media attack by Tinubu's newspaper (The nation), the presidency wanted to change so many things in the budget, cos that document was just a show of shame and gross incompetent to the inexperienced economic team of Mr Buhari.
They should have followed due process in amending the budget. They should not be trying to sneak in changes through the back door.

PoliticsRe: Budget Scandal: Impeach Buhari, PDP Tells National Assembly by poseidon12: 12:17am On Jan 15, 2016
Ebukaobi:
PDP - a bunch of dullards with no moral compass

All these because of the fight against corruption

First of all, impeaching Buhari is next to impossible

Secondly, the PDP is underestimating the resolve of Nigerians on their support for this government

Thirdly, why is that the majority of opponents towards the anti-corruption policy of Buhari come from one section of Nigeria?

If I say I, you say GBO, omo na you sabi
There is obviously no fight against corruption. Witch-hunting is not the same thing as fight against corruption.

They decided to buy 5 bottles of Moet Champagne not to drink but to wash their hands and legs with all the five bottles!!!!

This is a common occurrence among most young guys in various night clubs across Nigeria.

Is this a Yes or a No?

What's your opinion guys?

Big fools definitely.

ISpiksDaTroof:
If this was here in the States, does this pendejo know that he just talked himself into at least 20 years in Prison?! HE HAS NO DEFENSE!!!

And why is the EFCC allowing all sorts of characters visit inmates pending trial? The ONLY people that should be allowed to visit him PRE-TRIAL are his legal team; even his spouse should only be allowed to speak to him on monitored phone calls and only for a few minutes each week until the conclusion of proceedings. He should not be allowed access to his PERSONAL phones, and his letters--- both incoming and outgoing--- except VERIFIED Attorney/Client correspondence should be monitored. The result of neglecting control of Pre-Trial Inmates is the idiocy we see in the above article.

Anyway, Nigeria is still learning, hopefully they get it right before it's too late.
Are you really sure you understand the legal system of the States? Don't you think that "if it was here in the States," he would have been charged to court and released on bail? But here the EFCC and DSS keep playing games with people's fundamental rights.

TonyeBarcanista:
Dasuki has already been charged to court. He is in detention for a different case. He wants to run abroad in the name of bail. The FG however is dishing the meal bit by bit.

Perhaps, you are not aware that Sambo released statement on this issue and NEVER in the statement refuted the $2.2 billion sum.

Again, save your epistle for the judge.
Which different case is he in detention for? How long are they supposed to hold him for before they can charge him to court for that different case? They need to stop violating the fundamental human rights of Nigerians.

Thank you very much for this information. I even bought the propaganda about the $2.1b. As you said, the opposition has been doing a poor job of countering the APC propaganda. They need to get their acts together.

Efcc is not trying @ all.

Y not try this man in the court of law and give the court its power to prosecute him..

I guess you don't have enough evidence to present him in the court of law.

I am of the thought that most of the corrupt people will be asked to return their loot or risk going to prison.
They obviously don't have enough evidence. I believe that is why they keep playing hide and seek with the accused.

Your parents sent you to school and not going about supporting a group of miscreants poking a 2-star Military General on his chest in the name of exercising your freedom of religion or protecting a local Iranian-sponsored chief imam. Nigeria is not Iran, Lebanon or Bahrain.

Next victims in line hopefully, are the IPOB jobless youths.
Either them or probably you or a relative of yours. Our military behave like thugs and act like they are above the law.
There was no reason for the massacre. The Shiites should have been arrested and prosecuted.
I hope you live in Nigeria so that one day you have a taste of your military's brutality.

Two questions..

How do people effectively drive these cars in Lagos with the bad roads?

And how do they get them fixed when there aren't specialists who can do so around?
Of course they can't drive them around Lagos. They will be parked most of the time. The roads in Lagos are terrible. The only vehicles appreciate for Lagos are the suv's, especially the off-road ones like the Land Rover Defender.

Each time I read comments on this forum, I become ashamed to be called a Nigerian. Imagine all the tribalistic comments here, and yet we say "one Nigeria". I'm Igbo and as long as I am concerned, I do not hate anyone, any tribe...I treat and relate with people based on the content character and not because of the tribe they come from. Nigerian youths, please stop spreading hate. If someone hates you because you're from another tribe and you decide to hate the person's tribe, would you say you're better off? With the rate at which we spread hate, especially on social media, in no distant future, this country will become war zone....this is how it starts.
The vast majority of Nigerians are definitely not civilized. That's the main reason we are backward.

Dear Maximum Ruler Buhari,

The peopleof Bayelsa refused to be distracted. Not by the arrest of Olisa Metuh, not by the initiation of Uche Ekwunife and Jim Nwobodo into the coven of witches.

Now, Bayelsa has decided. As you wait for Abuja to cook the figures, remember that the good thing about food is that there is a limit to which you can add spice. Too much maggi, too much pepper and na only you go chop am be that.

Even jollof rice is not THAT forgiving.

What am I saying?

The will of the people has been sealed in Bayelsa. Tamper with it at your own peril.

Charge Olisa Metuh to court or grant him bail. After you were overthrown the first time and the SSS dungeons were thrown open, a lot of Nigerians whom you had wrongfully held without regards to due process and the rule of law finally reunited with freedom once again.

Learn to respect the judiciary and #FreeNnamdiKanu.

It is wrong to repeatedly disregard court orders. When the judiciary decides to pick up their flattened balls, you would have thrown this nation into anarchy.

This is a democracy and not a militocracy, charge Dasuki to court. Yes there are "2 million people in IDPs" -flawed statistics, kindergarten reasoning - but for as long as you are operating from the realm of conjecture and trusting the media persecution to find the accused guilty in the court of public opinion, you also have to work within the ambits of the law.

You are supposed to be the ultimate custodian of the rule of law.

As you kill the Nigerian economy and strive to break the Nigerian spirit with your tyranny, let it be known that you can only push people this far and not a step further.

Look around you and see...

Only the #ZombieJollofEaters still show any sense of excitement when this inconclusive administration is mentioned.

The reason for the march wasn't an economic one. GEJ's administration gaffed on the presentation and implementation like it did on so many national issues. The citizens didn't trust the government, and recent revelations about the widespread corruption in his administration have proved us right.

iwatchandlisten:

My brother for Nigeria, whether you commit offence or not soldiers, police go beat you...How can you even defend soldiers torturing civilians, whether they commit offence or not, can that happen in a civilised society?

I had an experience some years ago at the TBS in Lagos one morning on my way to work...he was just hitting me up and down, but i wisely refused to retaliate. At a point he said i should lie down in a gutter, i told him i would rather die on my feet, that there was no way i was getting inside the gutter. Some passers-by who came to plead on my behalf, even started pleading with me to just lie down in gutter so that the soldier will stop hitting me. My brother i stuck to my decision'o. I even made to run away from him, but he chased me, until I made the decision to stop and face the situation. Thank God, eventually some Military Police guys who had apparently observed the unfolding drama from a distance for some time, intervened 'arrested' the unruly soldier and took us to a commanding officer. The officer appologised to me and ordered that the soldier be stripped and taken to a guard room. The story was even in The Guardian Newspaper.
Most Nigerian soldiers are cowardly thugs in uniform. We need an enlightened president that will put them in their place.
