dumbass answer the question how did wole Soyinka started cultism. Cuz what he started was fraternity. Fraternities are everywhere in America colleges. Pyrate fraternity founded by wole Soyinka to fight for human rights and social justice in Nigeria and to protest against the government. A noble cause. So tell me again how exactly did he start cultism in Nigeria with actual proof. Was it wole fault that most Nigerians are barbaric.
I've seen you've done what I sent you.

Now go study if there's an actual difference between frat and cult

give it up guy it’s really embarrassing now. Never had sovereign kings but oyo was an empire. With control over Dahomey, allada, nupe and the mahin. Ur lies is too much that’s why u can’t stick to one meaning of oba in ur language from it doesn’t exist in edo language to it means the one that shines for edo people to it means the emperor of the benin kingdom. now it means “the one whose power and glory illuminates all over edo and beyond.” Smh which one is it.

Oba means king in my language. It may mean something else in yours. And I gave u the full title and meaning in my language so what are u still saying? Are u Edo?

shut up dumbass which ooni hold Benin ceremonial sword. The sword(ida) is yoruba not Benin. The word oba belongs to yoruba which means king while yours was ogie. U merely borrow oba into ur title from Yoruba that’s why u don’t know the meaning. All Yoruba kings are still kaybiesi, last time I check the deji of akure is still called deji.so tell me what was discarded. So university na source of pride small Benin.

What is the Yoruba word for ruler??

the Benin that influenced eastern Yoruba were Yoruba speaking Benin not the edo.

I had meant an ondo lady in uniben she told me her name and it was yoruba name , so i was like you're yoruba nice, and she was like she aint originally yoruba that they were originally from benin who thier benin ancestor had migrated to ondo by the orders of the oba of benin, to oversee trade in akure state

Some of this people returned to benin after the benin penuitive expendition by the British oba eweka 11 who called for the returned of the Benin chiefs and thier families over the different vassal state to return home so they can help him build the remains of the war......
Some came back and some remained

So if you hear them speaking a distinct yoruba called lucumi or whatever you call it, you shouldn't mistake it with something else
Before you go around embrassing yourself again

No need asking this people made the word oba attached to thier title to get recognition
They took the excuse from the title oba lagos who the British had renamed from eleko to oba because of difficulty pronouncing the name

Dont mind the bigot

The etymology of a word does not reflect it usage

They want to claim oba directly means king, ruler in Yoruba land
With no etymology to back it up

yes they had a distinct Yoruba dialect which was the lingua franca. This is what I want us to agree upon.

olukunmi is a Yoruba dialect today and it is not mixed with edo. You don't need to be rude.

What is your point here? What is horse culture? If we don’t breed horses in large numbers doesn’t mean we don’t know what it is. I don’t think the climate here is conducive for horses.
You lost your other arguments now u have started with horses lol. U can keep the horses Edo don’t have need for it.

Edo was known for Ivory culture but we are not bragging about it.

Do you know why I always love your thread? Because it feels with so much ignorance and dishonesty. You earlier bragged about Benin introducing horse to yorubas, now you are stylishly making a sly turn by implying that Benin climate is not conducive for horse, that you don't breed them in large numbers. Bro you just want to sound smart and clever by force.

Na wa o, this Bini people seem to have a serious complex problem.

How is Ogboni of Bini origin when it was just introduced to Bini in the 1950s & this same Ogboni caused serious problems among the Bini between 1959-1963 leading them to want to break off from the West because they thought the West was influencing them badly?

Lol, but a Yoruba article claims otherwise

Ogboni had always been edo people the reformed society was introduced not the worship

The RFO which is the reformed worship was introduced but the worship has always been edo

Nigga you just have to prove.....

Go do your research i want to be wrong, i want to be disproved

The rfo is a reformed type of ogboni package and reimported to benin but it does not ascertain its originality

Nigeria have introduced different churches to uk, but does that change the fact Christianity was introduced by the British to Nigeria

Smh,

You all went to screenshot J D Y Peel's paper where he gathered all the fables in Ilesa.

The paper speaks of the origin of Ogboni in Ilesa [one town out of several Yoruba towns] being from a Bini person who became a chieftain in Ilesa.

You lot are stack dishonest illiterates.

The word Ogboni is Yoruba. The origin of history of Ogboni is Yoruba & in Ifa the origin of Ogboni is Yoruba.
If you were a member, you would know all of the chants, rituals and symbolism are Yoruba. I'm a member of ROF and a traditional Ogboni in my hometown, you lot should stop with the nonsense.

You guys are overreaching and you know your population is far less than that of Yoruba online & offline. You can make the Yoruba go on a propaganda rampage against you online and your largely illiterate population would not be able to withstand the heat. If attention is taken off Ibo & put on your 2 by 2 town, it will be disastrous for you.

Since the introduction of Christianity all our names in various tribe to carry god in our local dialect attached to the original names

Ebo-wonyi is now osa-wonyi

Likewise after the adoption of the word oba by the yorubas from benin many of it original names changed to reflect oba probably this words was called something else in Yoruba

Maybe olu-tanla now oba-tanla

If we are to start naming every prefix with oba from the benin benin people too would that convince you

Ordinary Ijaw shook your 2by2 kingdom to the core, don't be too noisy.

Yoruba towns in Edo state alone is enough not to mention the entire Yorubaland.

Dude spoke huge of 2by2 kingdom that Ogedengbe & his war boys ravaged that your coral wearing Sisi of a king had to appease him with Bini heaux & beads. cheesy.

Speaking of ND like there are no Yoruba towns there in ND or there are no Yoruba in Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cuba & Brazil. Your 2by2 kingdom will be overrun with historical facts & propaganda simultaneously, fxking weak set of bxtches.

No wonder it took an Ibo man to lead your midwestern region agitation, an Ibo man! All ye Bini were pussies and could not do a thing till an Ibo stepped in. No wonder the Ibo claim you as part of Biafra, Bini the conquered peoples.

Just one Yoruba shook your 2by2 village to the core. Now imagine how many Ogedengbe are in Yorubaland waiting to be unleashes on you? Your 2by2 village has always been a conquered extension of Yorubaland. Ever wonder why you were added to Western region? Yep, you have always been our appendage. Every wonder why you have Yoruba names while we don'r use your names? Yep, you're our bxtch.
