emkz: I think this is selective.
Because CBN is shifting from that development financial initiative which led to CBN disbursing loans to farmers does not mean there are no dead woods elsewhere.
CBN must carry out a comprehensive personnel audit. CBN recruitment has mostly been political and nepotistic over the years where the children of the high and the mighty get preference. We even heard that these children's job functions are mostly planning their vacations. Some of the retiring CBN staff seemingly bring their children to the employ of CBN. If this is a lie, when last did CBN do an open recruitment?
CBN cannot deny recruitment because that agency is overstaffed.
Dr Yemi Cardoso, we are in support of your initiatives. We want them to be more brutal. Please clean the CBN. It is not always difficult to jump into conclusion especially if you have your ethnic binoculars on. Typical! |

IyfeNamikaze: So what would be your advice to someone who holds a share with a tier 1 Bank right now, To sell or not to sell? 1. Your age and purpose of acquiring the shares ab initio will determine my answer. Did you buy it as a young man hoping to build a portfolio for your later years? If the answer to that is yes, do not sell. 2. Are you a young fella that his trading in shares with the intention of additional income.? If the answer is yes, do not sell for now pending when the big boys in the banking sector declare their results. One thing that is more certain than death at this point in time is that their results will be fantastic going by their Q3 results and most certainly bumper dividends will be declared. Thereafter, you can dump after a few days of rally that is if you are not interested in waiting for the date of dividend payment or even the dividend itself. So many people are jumping the gun on what ways the bank will adopt to re- capitalise. I am not ready to go into that topic for now. |

Our polithiefians that embezzle billions even in murder cases that the person have numerous evidences against him/her they would still plead not guilty and the case would linger. One of the things that nailed her coffin is she pleading guilty and also she doesn't have enough resources like the plaintiff to make the case go on for years. Going to the courts on a daily basis with SANs or sleeping in the court room does not automatically translates to being a lawyer. Remember, your argument is, lawyers will NEVER tell you to plead guilty. Go and learn how to use the word " NEVER" in addition to arguing logically. Good Morning. |

perfri: The person you quoted is actually right. when these banks recapitalize, this wouild mean issuing new shares in the market, which can reduce the ownership percentage and earnings per share for existing shareholders. This dilution could put downward pressure on the stock price. So actually, existing shareholders may likely want to sell off their stocks. You are partially right. For now, the banking stocks and the rest of the market is bearish because investors especially the institutional ones have a more lucrative alternative in the fixed income market as a result of the increase in MPR. Hold me by my words. When the results of the tier one banks starts to flow into the market. By then, this theory of shares dilution will not hold. Fluctuations in share prices is determined by so many factors so being tentative about the re- capitalisation as the major reason for now is lame and lazy. |

The way you people exhibit crass and gross ignorance on this platform is amazing. Perhaps, you are not aware there is a prosecutor in any case? Perrhaps, you are not aware that it is the evidence brought by the prosecutor against you in a case inspite of your plea that matters to the judge? Fibonacci88: It's anticipated. Most banks are going to issue IPOs to raise funds to meet CBN capitalization requirements. Investors already holding these highly priced shares will need to dump some and book profit and mitigate risk when these banks go public. You are trying hard to sound knowledgeable but you are not. Is it only the tier 1 banks that are responsible for the current fall? Who told you people holding a particular stock will dump when the company plans to raise additional capital? Dumping to book profit to mitigate risk? What risk is being mitigated with the dumping? It is not a must you should comment here. Take the little knowledge you have to the beer parlour. |

If they have refused to pay even after maturity, then the client should be entitled to his SUM ASSURED plus some remedy/compensation if the matter goes to court, depending on his prayer to the court. It is the lawyer that may likely cherge you the ten percent. That was what I paid to the lawyer. My investment had matured then so they paid me my full amount of I could remember. |

Owon: This doesn't make sense. Let's say someone started 30k monthly contributions 5 years ago when the value of 30k is like 100k now, or roughly 40k round the years in total, even if the person is given back 100% of the total contributions, IT'S STILL A LOSS! If 30% is taking out of 2m, that's 600k. While will 600k be deducted from someone's money? For what? As what? Then get a lawyer from a reputable law firm to write them but be ready to sacrifice ten percent. It worked for me. It can work for you. |

THEY HID UNDER THE CLOAK OF ISLAM, WITH THEIR FRAUDULENT TAKAFUL SAVINGS PLAN TO DEFRAUD PEOPLE. I have written several emails to them without a single response. I have been to their office at Ikoyi last month to warn them and that my return won't be good...
I HAVE WRITTEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND REPORT TO THE USELESS NIACOM THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE INSURANCE COMPANY POLICE TO PUT THEM TO CHECK, BUT THE USELESS NIACOM IS NOT EVEN RESPONDING. I THINK AFRICAN ALLIANCE INSURANCE COULD HAVE BRIBED THEM...
Please I want suggestions from people who have had similar experiences with these evil and criminal insurance companies and how they were able to retrieve their money. First, it may not be totally true that NAICOM is useless. I had a similar experience with IGI, wrote NAICOM and can remember vividly that they replied from their Abuja HQ. A dispatch rider delivered their acknowledgement of my complaint to my house. Second, if the amount is sizeable, get a lawyer to write them and be ready to forfeit ten percent of the money. The lawyer should be from a notable law firm. That was what I did and it yielded result. Truth is, ten percent will not kill you o. Half bread is better than puff puff. |
