EFCC is trying it's best possible at portraying YAHOO-YAHOO as a southern crime.
The same way BUBA MARWA told us that drug use/narcotics abuse is a southern issue.

kstyle2: De gea has been so impressive. I still don't know why the English press always gets to hype Henderson like he's the best thing since sliced bread. Henderson can't even lace de gea boots. I'm sick and tired of these overrated and overpriced English boys that we get linked with. Like Rice, Sancho and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Cavani is on the verge of extending his stay. Keep him and the likes of martial, rashford and greenwood can learn a thing or two from him Instead of rice, go for Ndidi then get a centre back to partner Eric bailey or Lindelof. Now that Lingard's stock has risen, sell him cos we all know he can't repeat this feat next season. Get rid of Phil Jones, pereira, mata is old and has served us well but he needs to go. Of all you said, the overrated and overpriced English players resonates with me most. Can you imagine going for a certain Sancho with as much as 90m pounds?. To me, it seems the English press has a way of forcing down the English gabbages down the throat of MAN U. |

One thing you cannot take away from Hadiza is her intelligence. I make bold to say that she remains one of the most intelligent women from the North in my own opinion. You cannot fault her competence in that task too.
However, it is not impossible that the mafia in conjunction with wharf rats eventually.............

LordReed: To be honest it was an eye sore and old to boot. I really don't blame them for constructing a more modern one. A refurbishment would have been ideal. The Governor does not spend more than 3 days at a go when in ABUJA. The only business most states have in ABJ is the collection of monthly allocation and this is usually done by the comm. of finance. With the present paucity of funds across the land, let us not defend the indefensible. |

Seyi Shay is harsh, rude and don't even Know how to criticize.before u compare them to Simon Cowell.simon Cowell is honest and blunt.alot of contestants comes back just to hear what Simon has to say to them. I rather watch the voice Nigeria where we have darey, yemi, waje and falz than one rubbish idol. Seyi Shay need to learn from darey, yemi or waje All the judges you compared with Sheyi DO NOT have her pedigree. Google is your friend. |

NewDelhi: That interior decor guy of last night. I was pained the way the rubbishes and made fun of him
Also that girl that begged for one more chance, if she had sang that song during her first chance , they would have allowed her. But DJ sose told her "NO" because it would have been somehow and look like cheating on others if he gave her a second chance and said "yes". It's simple psychology. If you are a friend to the Interior Decoy guy, would you have advised him to go for the competition? The girl that begged for another chance was told initially she had an option to change to something more comfortable. It amazes me the way people who know next to nothing have suddenly turned to judges in music on Nairaland. One thing I know is, this thread will soon turn to SHEYI favored Yoruba AND OBI favored IBO. |

gurunlocker: Yes, that's her! They even applauded her after performing, still they all say NO.
I've seen another 16 year old get picked, one Beyonce girl, she didn't perform like that girl. So I can't say it's because of her age!
Another Damilola girl with glasses that performed last week, same thing. The fact that somebody sang well by your own standard does not mean they are okay by the judges. We, as Nigerians should learn to give the judges the benefit of the doubt and acknowledge if need be where we are not qualified to judge. Judging musical talent, we know more than the judges. Judging Super Eagles, we know more than Rohr!. |

jozeflyfX: Stop been haters, I guess the writer of this post does not know how to handle rejection in life...
I do not see what is wrong with the ongoing selection of those making it to the next stage...
This is nigeria idols not your village singing competition. Only the best get the job.
Mind you Nigerian idols is what I mostly practically watch each day all the time on DStv
Shey shey is doing a good job , so are the others.
Stop hating because u were not selected I agree with you totally. The major problem with Nigerians is that where they do not even have the basic, elementary knowledge of a particular issue or field, they start pontificating as if they know all. Suddenly, experts have emerged on Nairaland. If you follow the program well, you will see that some of the contestants were even saying that their friends and in some cases mothers told them they could sing. As if singing in a church choir or winning a local competition is all you need to be a winner. |

Those judges should be disband joor.they lacked xposure and professionalism. Suddenly, the argument is now moving in the "right"direction. Seyi shay treated an igbo guy called Chinedu :somehow" The 16 year old girl from Owerri that got a good comment from her is not mentioned. The 17 year old girl(yoruba) from Ilorin that was rejected is not mentioned. The Year 4 pharmacy student that is yoruba but was rejected is not mentioned. omonnakoda: This is very ignorant Britain has more that a dozen accents. Have you ever travelled across Britain?
I suggest you go to Dudley, Sunderland, Liverpool or Glasgow. There is nothing perfect about it.
The way people speak in Britain is largely determined by social class and schooling
The "best" accent would have to be the one most people understand. That would vary from country to country.
Since most English speakers can be found in Nigeria , India the US etc. The Nigerian accent would have to be one of the best You are very correct. It may sound odd or unbelievable but do you know that Elizerbeth II herself was mocked when she was installed as queen for having an accent? Many, i AM SURE have never heard this before. On this issue of sounding more phonetic that the original, a few days ago, I was shocked to hear ROSEMARY CHURCH of CNN pronounce MINESOTA with the T well pronounced while Nigerians that have spent barely 2 months in US will tell you it is MINESORA! FACT is, if you spent the first ten years of your life in Naija BUT LATER COME UP WITH AN ACCENT after 20 years else where, You are nothing but fake. |
