Captaintimex: Nigeria greatest problem is that 13 Boeing 747 cargo planes come to Nigeria daily, offloading cargo, then went back empty. Sometimes, they have to use sandbags to stabilize the aircrafts.
5 out of every 6 ships that berth in Nigeria return to their base empty. The only one which leaves with cargo is filled with charcoal, gypsum salt & sesame seeds.
A country of 200m people eating, sleeping, making calls, voting for mercy of BBNaija and contributing almost nothing to the world. All we do is drill the oil, sell it & bank the money, loot 60%, share 40% of the proceeds. Even the oil is drilled for us by foreign companies.
Our youths in their most productive years are selling gala in the traffic, some are hailing frood, Ike & being tachaed, while other borrowed data to come throw tribal tantrums & defend the criminal of bourdillion on seun's platform
Nigeria think!!! Thought provoking comment. Probably, the best I have read on this forum. The docility of the youth is un-paralleled. Kudos to you. |

Litmus: So-called “Spraying Money” is a Nigerian tradition that the world tried to sanction Nigerians from doing but failed and now many of them are copying. It is now a tradition, slowly becoming a part of international urban and popular culture and for which Nigerians should be proud. The lesson to draw from this is, hold on to your cultural practices, foods, music, dresses, ceremonies and so on. Be proud of them even in the face of foreign condemnations and attempted sanctions, eventually the world will copy you. Remember that the World attacks on African ways and culture are visages of industrial methods used to enslave Africa by the European powers. Would this have been your comment if they were from another tribe? Suddenly, spraying money has become a Nigerian tradition. You however failed to address the likely reasons for their predicament. Indeed....... |

Let's be honest, is the government doing anything to improve domestic productivity.? Or doing things like removing oil subsidy that would make smuggling fuel difficult for example? Pumping money (billions) into the anchor borrowers' programme thru the CBN for rice farmers evidences govt total effort at improving local productivity. |

Immediately, I closed the case for fear of being labelled " an enemy of progress. But I was like, Lebanon of all places. Till now, I have not asked if the lady had communicated with him. |

I expected to see the name of the leader of the Board. After reading the phrase, "The Ogbonnaya Onu-led Ministry of Science and Technology...", I also expected an unbiased mention of the name of the Chairman, Board of Directors. Just the way your comment was ethnic tainted. Mentioning Onu's name is the problem for you. Only God knows what would have been your comment if the minister were to be from another tribe. When it was Kemi, you shouted 'CRUCIFY HER'. When it was the NHIS Malam is was 'NAIL HIM TO THE CROSS" but now 'Ethnic tainted". Think about these. |

sassysure: Because that is what banking managements told them to do. Always present a fulfilled and happy exterior to the public. Who will want to bank with a grumpy and grouchy person? Living a false life means living above your income. When banking was banking, you have no option but to live an austere life. Living even parallel to your income sef brings suspicion. No bank management will tell you or imply that you live a fake life. |
