That is why he should not be begged to play for Eagles.

As a Man U fan, I do not wish Lingard even for the worse of my enemies.

Players like Lingard are just existing becos they play for Man U.

Send him to Watford or any lowly team and you see the end of his career.

Kalixx:
Thank you all nairalanders for a quite interesting 2019 year.

I want to use this medium to announce a drop in participation in Nairaland as from year 2020.

If you wake up to log in to NL to learn about the bad news about the country or for tribal masochism, and spend the next 1 hour on facebook or twitter looking at the latest news or trends, then spend another 1 hour on whatsapp looking at peoples' status and personal lifestyle, then spend the evenings to go watch how Chelsea should win or how Barcelona should fail...then keep logging off and on NL to see how many likes or mentions you have had...

then I put it to you that if you continue this trend for the next 2-3 years, especially if you are a youth that has a bright future ahead, the likelihood that you'll end up as a failure in life is high.

If you put all the minutes you spend on unproductive things online, it's enough to find a bearing for your life and loved ones even in the midst of the hardship all around.
The truth atimes, often sounds like rubbish.

Indeed, you have delivered the message handed down to you from heaven.

Many have wasted precious hours of their lives watching 2 matches (90 plus 90 minutes) every Saturday and sunday..
Health › Re: Many People Are Using Paracetamol To Cook Meat! by ppogba: 1:57pm On Dec 26, 2019
I always wonder how Nigerians come up with these researches.

First, it was using LACASERA drink to deal with any stubborn screw/nuts/bolts that is proving difficult. If you think this is a lie, ask your mechanic. Dem no born the screw well.

Second, it was boiling meat with 7up.

Third, it was putting a single nail (yes nail!) in a pot to make the meat soft quicker.

Naija! I hail una.

I had the misfortune of serving in Aba like ten years ago, it is basically the Dirtiest Environment I have ever had to stay at, more surprising to me given the Slander Igbo people carry about Yoruba people been dirty, take it from me, the dirtiest place in Yoruba Land is far far tidier and cleaner than ABA, especially ABA south, all that Obohia ariaria areas, people are literally living in slums and on refuse dumps....

Very very very Dirty City...., terrible roads, no drainage....

Chai, I suffered that year...
Your comment shows that we are not moving forward in Nigeria.

I served in ABA between 98 and 99 (over 20 years ago) and the story was the same then. Probably worse then.

Obohia street you mentioned was close to where I stayed and I could remember I spent a fortune buying insecticides.

The whole length of NGWA ROAD was divided with refuse and cemetary road from Ngwa road junction was something else.

It amazes me when people from that side abuse other parts of NIGERIA.

Abu is one of the top 5 prestigious university in Nigeria and d entire north... take a trip to Abu u would see Southerners who school there even in maiduguri southerners still go there how much more Abu...
The truth is that an average Nigerian youth or maybe an average youth on Nairaland is so un-exposed that they can hardly boast of having been resident is a state outside their geographical area.

When you read some of the comments here, you are almost forced to cry inward.

That is the sorry state.

No correlation between the two.

There are still offenses in Nigeria that the judge will fine you N2500.

Come to think of it, why should a sane man disobey the light that is meant to ensure orderliness?

It is only in Nigeria that you will see a traffic police standing by the traffic light. In sane societies, the light alone is. enough .

Just take a good look at that midfield...and worse still, there's no other midfielder on the bench.
The quality of the players in the team is extremely poor.

Non of the players will make the team at MAN CITY and Liverpool.

One or two will make the team at Hotspur and Chelsea.

Only a few will make the team at Aston Villa AND SHEFFIELD UNITED.

Ole too is not worthy of being Man U coach.

Police commissioner did not know how bank works, sometimes opening d vault ahead is to safe their own life.if u have worked in bank and experienced robbery,u will understand and there is no way any staff could av escape because some of d armed robber maybe around to shoot anyone that tried to escape
Of all the comments so far, yours is the only one I can respond to.
There is the need for the police to train it's top officers on the operations of some certain organisations. Banks inclusive.
It is even saddening that the public especially people on the forum seems to have bought oga commissioner's logic hook, line and sinker.

First, the robbers were shooting at the police station 2 poles away and he expected the bankers to have run away. Abasi mbo! Run to where? In what direction? Would he have recommended that? Perhaps he is recommending that!

Second, footage shows entry and exit into the vault after hearing the gun shots. That is perfectly normal for anybody that cares to know. In such situation, you either hurriedly move cash into the vault or where you love yourself, ensure that the vault is partly open for easy access in case they eventually come in. Beloved, robbers will not take kindly to you fidgetting and fiddling with the vault keys when they enter in anger and desperation.

Third, bankers stuffing their pockets with money? I will be magnanimous to call that a lie from the pit of whatever! All bank workers are aware that CCTV monitors. Does the Commissioner think that if the robbers did not come into the bank, books will not be balanced and thorough review done?

Oga commissioner did not address the issue of his staff who ran away and could not even encounter the robbers from any safe heaven. Where did the run to? To their wives? Watching from a safe distance or seeking from re-inforcement which eventually failed to come?

TELL US A NEW STORY SIR.

Business › Re: LAWMA Shuts Oyingbo Market. by ppogba: 4:48am On Nov 22, 2019
I am beginning to wonder whether there is a relationship between being on the social media (instagram, twitter etc) and having sense. This is because the people who seem to have a voice with thru these media do not seem to say things that are reasonable.

The waste management authority saddled with a responsibility shut down a market and someone is asking whether the government has the power.

When anything happens in Naija, the first thing people ask is "do they have the power?

Babcock expel-----do they have the power?
Edo poly expel-----do they have the power?
Govt shuts down a market for being dirty---do they have the power?

It is safe to say people make use of the word power without actually knowing what it means.

Unfortunately, people forming tiger on social media are milder than a pussycat in their places of work.

If only I had the knowledge of what I have 20 years ago.

Do you know that children of big men with 1st degree and M asters from foreign Unis now work in the public with the intent of working up the ladder?

No wonder senators children and their ilk will not work for Zenith and co but will prefer NIMC, PENCOM and the rest.?

Finally, be rest assured that most of the advise you will get here are from people that have not even started the journey?
