the devil has finally assaulted the last remaining and perhaps the most holy institution established by God---marriage. when marriages fail, the society is upside down bc you now have children of broken homes, not the best for a society. these kids go to school and spoil the kids from a stable family. these unfortunate kids grow into ''wonder teenagers'' who think they are adults and need no supervision (bc those from broken homes prolly grew without supervision, their parent had to be out hussling most of the time) these kids end up in violence

those who survive become disgruntled adults and woe betide the nation when such adults become parents or God forbid, leaders in govt.

tolerance is the key to succesful marriage. in the absence of wife battery, and perhaps infidelity, any other thing can be tolerated, for the sake of the kids, let the marriages work.

I am an Igbo woman and I have this observation to make.
I believe Yoruba women are light years ahead of the other southern women when it comes to leaving an irresponsible husband.
I am all for marriage,don't get me wrong.
I advocate marriage but in cases where it just isn't working out,a woman ought to leave with her mental state intact than die or run mad trying to lead a dead horse.
Divorce rate in Igbo land is very very low compared to the south west.
Doesn't necessarily mean that Igbo marriages are happier.
Yoruba women are so empowered that they would not put up with drunkards and dead beats.
This is one thing I believe other women ought to learn from them.
There should be a limit any woman can take.
The rate of wife beatings would drastically reduce when these abusive men know the woman will not put up with it and that the courts can grant her full custody of her children.

I was in agreement with your post until the phrase in bold. Can you back it up with facts that Republicans are violent or more violent in their protests compared to Democrats? Do you want to go back through the history of domestic terrorism in the US and look at the politics of those involved?

Do you realise that the few times violence was present at any tea party gathering was Democrats sending their thugs to beat up on the protesters? Do you know they send in their people to cause destruction with the hope of pinning it on the Tea Pary folks? How about the latest lie by some Democratic Senators that they were verbally abused by Tea Pariers when they walked by? With all the cameras present at the event and that followed the Senators through the crowd, no one can produce a video to prove the allegation even though someone put out a $100,000 reward for anyone who can prove the abuse with a video evidence.

Don't be deceived by these liars/liberals. They are the violent ones and are only irked that protest against govt, which until recently has been their exclusive preserve is now done by the conservatives.

i dont know if you are a lawyer. i'm not but i've been to court before, it can take lawyers 2 hours to say ''in its full technicality'', what you and me can say in 3 sentences. dont you know that it can take tens of pages just to establish one of those points you like. you have not read the bill to know those stuff you hate. meanwhile the bill is to be amended in the senate to remove some stuff like the nebraska deal which was done to assist in getting the 60 voted necessary to pass the senate(without which we would still be debating the bill in the senate today) but again the republicans want to block that. lol.

hope you are proud of your tea baggers who are now busy threatening to kill the children of those who voted for the bill and are trying to intimidate the democrats who voted for the bill, throwing stones in their offices and threatening more.
