Pinklygul:The sixties saw Miss Nigeria competing at international level. Yemi Idowu, who won in 1962, reached the semi-finals at Miss United Nations 1963, the same year a swimsuit round was introduced into Miss Nigeria. [10] Miss Nigeria 1964, salesgirl Edna Park, became the first Nigerian at Miss Universe in 1964, but is best remembered for disrupting the evening when she collapsed on stage after failing to reach the top fifteen. Lazy brain, if they keep your destiny in a book, you won't be able to read to discover it. Read the whole article carefully and refresh your dusty brain. I can't spoon-feed your totally useless lazy self |
Pinklygul:Obviously, you're an indomie generation with a rètard mind. stop arguing like s blind fool. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Nigeria |
Pinklygul:How is it so very difficult for featherbrained like you to do a quick search on facts before jumping into someone's mention like a crude buffoon. Miss Nigeria was the earliest & the first beauty pageant in Nigeria as far back as 1957 with winners representing the country in international beauty competitions. MBGN was later organized many years later by silverbird group to outbid the organizer of Miss Nigeria for the license to represent Nigeria in International beauty contests. It was a matter of MBGN outbidding Miss Nigeria for the license. You can only have one organiser with the license to represent the country abroad. |
Kyase:Your response is empty and lacks substance. History tells us that there had been series of religious killings, attacks & reprisal attacks especially in the predominantly Muslim north pre-independence, with an increasing rate with each successive Government since 1999 till this very regime of Buhari. The issue of Sharia was as a result of self serving political greed of the Ex Zamfara Governor, Sani Yerima. Besides, it was only domesticated along 12 states in the north such as Amotekun was domesticated in the SW zones. At no point in time was the Constitution reviewed under Obj to favor the North above others. I was expecting you to highlight certain events whereby OBJ had to take orders from some certain quarters before making a final decision on any policy, or where his decisions were influenced by some northern elites. -Was there anyone stopping him when he retired some powerful northern generals immediately he assumed power? -Was there anyone determining his appointment of ministers & aides? -Was there any influence before he fired any body? -Was anyone in his way before establishing EFCC which was used as a tool to whip dissenting opposition in line? -Did anyone influence his decision to enthrone Yar'Adua against some northern interests? Pls, say something more intelligent. |
Odin13:Little boy, go make your findings on the prestigious "Miss Nigeria" beauty pageant, then come back and edit your comment. Mind you, I'm not referring you to the presently bastardized "MBGN". |
Kyase:Can you give just one instance of how he was controlled. Could you recall the drastic changes OBJ implemented as soon as he emerged the President? |
safarigirl:Our economy was faring better under Kemi Adeosun than it was left behind by Okonjo Iweala. Okonjo was borrowing to pay salaries and it was just a matter of time before we went into recession. The negative indices, the plundering of our reserves and dollarization of the economy during the 2015 caimpaign of PDP was unprecedentedly shocking. The aftermath had grave consequences on the economy so much so about 32 states of the federation could no longer pay their workers salaries. Okonjo made it very clearly that we should brace up for tougher times ahead. Adeosun would later come in and weather the storm, brought us out of recession in less than a year, created a template that enabled all states applied and had access to funds for payment of salaries. The country at the time we earned the lowest fx ever from crude oil yet she Never borrowed a dime to pay federal workers. Corruption was at the lowest ebb and no one had unfettered access to the treasury. Also, transparency was top notch such that there was monthly publication on who gets what. Okonjo for all the hype, did a bit of disservice to the country, her reputation being a former MD World bank was really her saving grace. Do you know she was paid in dollars all through her appointment?.. Do you even know that OBJ had to demote her to a junior portfolio having discovered some of her underhand corrupt dealings?. Do you know why Obj said Okonjo can't deliver independently without some supervision? Since her appointment as WTO head, can you mention one thing she has achieved so far? |
EdwardRandy:Ameachi is not ibo. |
It is a waste of time arguing with nonentities on Nairaland, those that matters know that Tinubu is the next President of Nigeria. |

athaboi:Why would Yoruba contest after Obj was already done with his two terms. The argument was that the North be made to complete the tenure of the late Yar'Adua rather than Jonathan imposing himself on the tenure that belonged to the North. If Jonathan had allowed reason prevail, we would have had a Southern President completing his tenure by now. If you don't understand politics, you can't comprehend the logic. |
I thought this Bello of a dude would stop tormenting ibos after he got married but seems he just getting started.

All these old accounts like osinbanjoisaliar, ganisucks, have resurrected to creating opposition threads ahead of the elections. End of the day, y'all will still lose and crawl back to hibernate in your respective holes as usual. |
Nyanmiridunce:I have seen many elderly ibo men hawking rat poison in SW, imagine me snapping their pictures and posting it here. OP is just a kid with low IQ |
QuotaSystem:Agbo will help boost fertility in Alaigbo. The infertility rate in iboland is ridiculously high, leading to the prevalence in child kidnapping and baby factories. We hope Agbo will help boost their impotent men and infertile women so that our kids from other regions will be able to walk freely without any fear of being kidnapped, sold off and renamed an ibo name. https://www.nairaland.com/6359454/seven-kidnapped-children-kano-found https://www.nairaland.com/5127845/police-burst-child-stealing-syndicate-ogun |
Lol. Let's watch and see how Ipob monkeys take sides with Wike, the slayer of Ipobs and throw Umahi, a performing Governor under the bus for being in APC. |
mrvitalis:Why does this dude always reason so poorly?. Why would Yoruba compete after Obj was already done with his two terms. The argument was that the North be made to complete the tenure of the late Yar'Adua rather than Jonathan imposing himself on the tenure that belonged to the North. If Jonathan had allowed reason prevail, we would have had a Southern President completing his tenure by now. |
PrinceOfLagos:Congratulations to his Excellency Ashiwaju Jagaban. At this juncture, all southern Governors stand on the mandate of a Southern Presidency. As a matter of fact, Wike would rather work for Tinubu than spend his resources on Atiku, remember that Wike was the first opposition Governor to have congratulated Buhari after he defeated Atiku in 2019. You have refused to learn! |
Now ibos can start promoting their man. But one thing is certain, 100 Atikus cannot stop Tinubu Presidency. |
Now ibos can start promoting their man. |
ganisucks:Tinubu is next President of Nigeria. |
mrvitalis:The zoning positions had already been made or are you leaving in a cave? https://www.nairaland.com/6041615/presidency-2023-support-power-shift |
oilPUSSY:You're correct, ibos were the first ever to occupy a second fiddle ceremonial position. A position whereby Azikiwe was cleaning the seat for Tafawa Balewa. Every other tribe occupied the Presidency as an executive position, it was only the ibos that occupied the seat of the President in a ceremonial capacity. |
Nonsense. You should have shared this with your jobless girlfriend and not bother us with your childish observation. The President's visit was a successful one and we're well pleased with the commissioning. Any other trivialities are meant for the trash can. |
Back in the day, this kinda sexy handwriting is enough to make ladies like the poster above me, trip and get wet for you without even toasting them. Sadly, money is all about the women now. |
Anambra total debt both local and foreign debt is 109 billion, Anambra is one of the least indebted state in Nigeria, state like Ogun local debt alone is 233 billion as at Dec 2021, Oyo local debt alone is 143 billion, Osun local debt is 135 billion, Lagos debt is evening competing with national debt, and former Anambra delivered more capital projects than the governors in your region, Amusun left Abiodun with nothing he had to borrow 7 billion to pay workers wages, So Anambra no be your mate
You ain't even ashamed of yourself to compare with other states. Anambra is left with #300million, that's a deep mess you're in. |
The return of Buni has scattered the table. |
This tribe is hate- filled, they'd remain as slaves for a very long time to come. |
Closing legs seems not to be part of Bianca's home training. |
I won't be surprised if Soludo ended up as a worse clown. How can any sensible person say it was a comedy an event whereby two mothers of the state were slapping and slut shaming each other. Soludo is a chain smoker with his burnt lips. |
horsepower102:Your region produced the least crude oil and the gas project in Assa North/ Ohaji North that was previously scheduled to begin production in 2020 hasn't commenced two years after. So, what resources are you talking about? |
Which gas? Deluded clowns. There's no gas from any part of iboland feeding the country. |
