OtemAtum: 'Regretting' shouldn't be the word to use here, rather, say, 'Challenge'. If you are truly regretting, then simply give your life to fictitious Jesus and return to Christianity. How can someone be regretting if he feels that he has made the right decision?
In my own case, I have never regretted for once my action of leaving religion. Why should that even be the case when my life had become better for it? As an atheist, if I may ask, now what do you believe in? |

Seun: If your acting skills are top-notch, you can pull a Saul of Tarsus and "give your life to Christ" again. "Repent of your arrogance". It could be fun.
Alternatively, you can compensate for your "evilness" by being super extra nice and helpful to people, forcing them to see that you're not Satan. Lol acting skills. If only you were in his shoes you'd know the stigmatisation and judging that comes along with disclosing your atheism and it's negative effect on your business or sch. Back to OP, Speakimg from experience, you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. You just need to be true to yourself. For a few years I was in your shoes, I openly declared my atheism at work and honestly I was lucky I was quite indispensable. You can't really blame them, people fear what they do not know. Besides Christians are taught not to be yoked with unbelievers (2 Cor 6:14). So really they don't want you destroying their own belief system with your unbelief. I suggest you keep searching for the truth and hopefully it'll find you soon. I however ended up back where I started, in Christ. Realising I never really knew Him until he revealed Himself to me. So for now, don't share your ideas openly at school, only share within your tight circle if need be. Good luck. |

I want to end my dreams thats all I want without having to masturbate or have sex on purpose for it. I'm not an Oyedepo or Adeboye fanatic, i hardly go to church but I do read my bible once in a while See your pastor. |

SenselessIdiot: For tagging masturbation as a bad habit then i must confess that you are a very dumb dude. What you should be trying to cure is stupidity not your " false" bad habits. . I masturbate 12 times daily, multiply it with 7 and see hi many times i masturbate in a week. I smoke 8 wraps of weed and take 4 container of codeine daily. And I'm still very much healthy and good looking, FYI I'm married to two ladies and i got 7 concubines outside my marriage. Man live your life to the fullest while you are still breathing, don't be deceived by these new modern generation scammers like adeboye, Oyedepo and co. You sound like a thief defending his theft so desperately. Simple experiment, record and post next time you want to masturbate 12 times (the char alone, have mercy on ur D). Since it's not a bad habit you shouldn't be bothered right. |

Christianity Etc › Re: RCCG's New Church Auditorium In Abeokuta (Photos) by pressplay411(m): 12:39am On Mar 10, 2018 |
SammieJayh: Real Christians don't flaunt charitable works... That's the only thing that gets me skeptical about TB Joshua. Matthew 6:3
The church isn't accountable to anyone... If you don't want to pay tithe or offering, then by all means, don't pay...the church will still strive. The issue is not even about flaunting it, but that no one, not a soul knows of their charity work meaning if they do its insignificant. Yet this is the most significant work of the church. We've heard and seen videos of billions being raised to build bigger state of the art record shattering mansions for the church yet never seen none in the name of charity. If TB Joshua gives and its videoed why is that wrong? If it's done in the name of evangelism and not self glorification. |
Romance › Re: My Twin Brother Is Addicted To Pornography And Masturbation. Help! by pressplay411(m): 12:31am On Mar 10, 2018 |
BruncleZuma:

First of all, your story and the "supposed addiction" doesn't add up... masturbation has no known psychological effects "some will beg to differ".
Secondly, it seems he doesn't have a source of income and you know how to make a living "teaching him" how to fish will be a nice way to go about it.
3rdly, blood is thicker than water until it has no vessel to live in. Stop being in the god tempting business of engaging in financial strip tease with your brother and not face the ensuing consequences...
Lastly y'all are supposed to be twins; if you need strangers to help you understand and rehabilitate your brother it means you've failed as a brother. Not every one is a sole custodian of knowledge like you sir. Sharing the problems of his twin doesn't make him a failure, you insulting a man''s honest cry for help is the failure. That said OP, I hope this story is genuine cos everyone seeking attention lately it's hard to tell. So, Masturbation is probably the most dangerous sin as it slowly encroaches one's life. There are two solutions you could adopt. 1. Get him a job or business or further his education. Clearly the devil finds use for idle hands. 2. Deal with the problem holistically. Get him closer to Jesus Christ, his sinful nature becomes detestable to him and he gains power over it. Also he learns responsibility in the church. Watch his life transform positively before your eyes. Speaking from experience. Goodluck. |

HigherEd: Before anyone comes to tell us the usual story of how we should be building industries and not churches..
Pls note that the aim of the church is to further everything related to the church. People who give to church don't give to church to "improve" Nigeria but the Gospel. So pls channel your frustration to your elected govt officials who are responsible for improving Nigeria.
If you want churches to improve Nigeria, then let's hand over the VAT, Pet Tax, CIT, PayE, Wharf etc to rccg or lfc church because the way it looks as though the churches are managing themselves better than how govt is managing our lives. The impact of the church is not in brick and mortar but in its catering to the poor and widows. I am yet to decide my position on rccg as a ministry yet cos it seems all we hear is not their charity but their business. |

Hi Nairalanders,
I don't know if this is a general thing or just me. I find myself reluctant to ask a lady out if she's not from my tribe. I know this sounds ridiculous in this present age but consciously or unconsciously I find it difficult making a move even when all the green light is there. What makes it even more pathetic, I'm more attracted to other tribes.
What should I do? Should I stick to my tribe or find a way to overcome this silliness. (silly cos we should be past tribalism by now).
Mature responses please. Constructive criticism is allowed. Thanks |

Davido has to be the least and worst any one could ever want to lounge with. So arrogant and spoilt. I respect his hustle but that's where it stops. I knew his personality was minus 100 ever since I saw him get pranked on MTV base. They say parenthood changes a boy into a man, guess he's the exception. Wizkid on the other hand has his cockiness but way more chill to hang out with. Davido better clean his act up and reduce his Yes men 30 billion gang lest he self destructs. |

Innobee99: Pls i need a candid advise on how to deal with this situation at my work place. I got this job August Last year after waiting for years after my NYSC. There is something going on here which is strictly against my believe and practice. Some senior staff will come with receipts for me to sign. Receipts on goods and services that has not even taken place so that they can forward it to the headquarter for approval. How do i tell them its against my believe cuz i always feel that guilt after signing . I need advise on how to go about it without offending anyone and without affecting my job. The Christian thing to do obviously is to stop appending your signature. But I'll suggest to see your pastor or someone is your field who can counsel you about it. Perhaps the reason your predecessor was fired was for lack of cooperation. It's crazy how most jobs especially in Lagos nowadays are designed to disunite us from our faith. Even the sabbath is not longer kept in some offices cos some staff work overtime Saturdays and Sundays. Don't do anything rash just yet, cos the labour market really is unfriendly. Yet we must walk by faith. Pray about it and read your bible too for God's guidance. |
Family › Re: The Only Type Of Partners Who Enjoy The Best Marriage. by pressplay411(m): 1:24am On Mar 05, 2018 |
PrickGetSize: That's why I added a clause "if necessary". To raise kids, you must have the means to train them (that's money and time) and there has to be a mutual agreement between you and your partner.
If people stop getting married, the pains and trauma caused by infidelity will be defeated.
The world has evolved to a stage where marriage is no longer necessary but religion keeps pulling us back. I can have kids and still be a responsible father to them without marriage. As gratifying as this is, it's negative effect on the kids is the flaw. Our generation is marred by several products of such "arrangements" even abroad and that's why you see so much diversity and decadence cos you end up devising excuses to justify your wrong actions. There's no limit to the downward spiral that ensues when we deviate from God's plan. Make yourself marriable and you will never find pleasure in leading a solo selfish life. It's the order of things. Life is in cycles. Your parents followed their cycle and it brought them you. You should also follow your cycle to birth your miracle into this beautiful world (yes beautiful regardless of all the ugliness we're making it into.) |
