If you can afford to take care of your basic needs yourself, then move.. It's better to keep a peaceful distance than being together with incessant quarrels/misunderstanding... With the distance, everyone will be at peace (I hope) and you can visit them from time to time.. But you don't have to let your mum know you're moving out because of her; she'll feel hurt. You could find other 'valid' reasons.. Meanwhile, hope moving out won't attract negative distractions? As you seem to be doing fine at home, career wise. .. Wish you the best.. |

Even if practiced in Nigeria, I won't pull the rope because I can't bear to see my husband in pain ... Seeing him in pains will add to my own pains, so I better bear the childbirth pain alone jejely. .. Besides, no be my husband cause childbirth to be painful, na nature. .. so?? |

onyekachee:Her rent can't waste? Is anyone chasing her out of the house? She should go and meet the landlord for a refund; You contributed money together and paid to the landlord... hardly any landlord that will refund such money as she isn't being chased outta d house. . She can come anytime she pleases as it's still her house till the rent expires. .but about refunding her? Nah.. What if you don't have the money hence your need for a roommate from the onset? As I said you can heed her request if she's a good friend and you can afford it... just for the sake of peace |
She should neither accept the new person nor refund. .. How could she bring a total stranger to live with you? Then, about refunding her, why should you refund her? Did you chase her out of the house? She's leaving on her own accord so you don't owe her anything. .. If she's a very good friend, you can consider either of the options. .but just know that you don't owe her anything |
nkoyo13:And team September keeps increasing ... team like no other... welcome nne.. ![]() |
The first job one gets after nysc normally 'determines' one's career path in Nigeria... Nigeria isn't a place you fold hands and wait for that choice/desired job or else when you pass graduate trainee age, your body go tell you ![]() Nwanne, just take up that job and find passion in it, if you no find am, go buy from market biko.... just be sure to create passion or happiness in one way or the other, for your own good because idleness/hunger sure wouldn't provide a better 'passion'... ![]() From the 'passionless' job, you could still land your dream job.. but just get busy first!... Many people however have been lucky to get their choice jobs immediately after uni... May God guide us right ![]() |
Raising a family hinders or slows a lot of women from reaching their desired height (when due)... especially ones so passionate about their marriage/family. . Most women are quite selective about what jobs/occupations/positions they take up just so that their families don't suffer.. But men are a lot more flexible. . Men can leave their families for weeks/months in pursuit of career but women rarely do this without worrying about what's going on back home ![]() So, it's not like the women don't want to get the top; difficulty in balancing life and career makes it hard... men on the other hand have more time to spare as regards career hence we have more of them at the top... |
So are you saying most Nigerian men are rich? And most Nigerian women poor prior to marriage? Smh |
snowytee:Someone that's adamant about having a 'huge' wedding when you're against it, is likely to make such demands in the future.. it's always good couples are in sync when it comes to finance... From your writeup, I thought maybe she's someone that likes having 'big' while you're a 'moderate' person hence my comment(s)... but guess I'm wrong. .. Since it applies to the wedding alone, you can easily manage it by standing firm to your decision.. Again, wish you the best ![]() |
You can always find a balance. You can have both ![]() But if I must choose, then my family/marriage because I can't have a good career when I don't have peace in my marriage. .. |
snowytee:Sorry, no insult intended really ![]() As I said before, stick to your budget!. .. I hope your fiancee comes around.. However, hope you will be able to cope with the difference in your financial ideologies when you're finally married? All the best.. ![]() |
