People who are yet to get ITA call the hospital and book appointments.. and most times they book in more than one hospital, taking up limited space.. You see a person or family booking in more than one hospital, when they only need to do medicals in one...

what do they do? They don't even call the hospital to cancel, all they do is not to show up because there's no financial implications..... There's limited number of CIC approved hospitals in Nigeria, why making the situation worse?

Please how are they being proactive in this context? If this isn't selfishness or unfair attitude, what is it pls?

PS: This isn't about me, it just hurts seeing people who need the medicals struggle to get a date while some other peeps without ITA have more than one date..

I can't stop anyone from booking a date, however I have my point. .

Sorry Ma'am but people like you are those making it difficult for those that have received ITA.. You just gave up your medical date for someone a page back (good enough though).. but why did book a date when from your posts, you're yet to get ITA? And you most likely booked the date like a month or two ago?

It's really unfair that people who are yet to get ITA book their medicals leaving those who really need it stranded.. Soon, people may not be able to get a spot for medicals within the 60 -day time period given to submit PR application. really unfair...

It's hightime hospitals started asking for ITA or advance payment before booking one for medicals. . So that only eligible people are booked.. You can't be at 438 and book medicals because you're anticipating scores to fall, haba..

Yes, I began processing the CPA Ontario's Internationally Trained Accountants' (ITA) path registration.

I quickly realized that my ICAN ACA amounts to little in the conversion process as I was expected to practically challenge most of the papers in the CPA Ontario exams all over (Biko, not at this ol' age again ) so I kind of abandon the process (the painful part was all the kish I had expended to get registered)

But recently, I have found a way around the matter through CIMA, so I won't have to write CPA Ontario papers again, I'll just apply using CIMA for direct CPA membership through the MRA (mutual recognition agreement) CIMA has with CPA Ontario. Se fini

However, the caveat is that from registering for CIMA(using ICAN) to using CIMA to register for CPA Ontario's membership, I will cost around 700k naira (yes, almost a million naira). IMHO, I still prefer to spend it than re-writing those papers.

Another caveat, as an immigrant, you have to sort out your membership of CIMA before stepping foot in Canada, if you start the process of taking CIMA exams or converting your ICAN to CIMA after landing, they wont accept it (It's on CPA Ontario website)

These stuffs are long and windy but it with diligent research and prompt action, they are doable.

Hi, kindly confirm from CPA if you can use CIMA obtained through MRA to obtain CPA membership.

My colleague had wanted to use this medium but on enquiry to CPA, he was told the CIMA won't fly because of certain reasons.

please confirm before you waste your money.. even on CPA Ontario website, you'll see information about completing the whole CIMA qualification in order to be eligible (check no 2 of eligibility criteria) .

Those who converted ICAN to ACCA, then to CPA are able to do so because CPA only requires ACCA members to have completed the professional level exams which ICAN members do during conversion to ACCA... You can't convert your CIMA to CPA with all papers exempted. .

or if you have a contrary information gotten from CPA, please let me know... Thank you

August mama here... welcomed my baby boy on Thursday 9 August via VD without tear.. he weighed 3.3kg at birth...

I must say that God indeed does answer prayers, I had a VERY smooth delivery. .. labour and delivery didn't last long and I had no tear.. was up and about barely after delivery. .. I give God all the praise..

The bill I got for my child is about 200k and I am in OGUDU as well

The one for about 75k is QueenMary School, opposite vision scape..near pako busstop..

Then about 150k for Mictec School at Emmanuel high.. close to Ogudu police station. ..

I heard leadforth gate inside GRA is above 200k.

We have decided to go with Mictec, that's where my heart lies... atleast no payment for school bus as our house is pretty close.. He will be starting summer school there on Monday..

hi mama Zaynie and other mamas... So I went to make enquiry about fees at the school I want my 2 year old to attend in Sept... The school fees is about 150k termly excluding bus service but inclusive of lunch. .. Fees will be about 110k after first term...

Please go ahead and write your exams... WES evaluates ACCA Advanced Diploma which one gets after writing F4-9 as a three year degree... so I strongly believe that F1-3(diploma) will be evaluated as a one year degree (if one has gotten no exemption)...

please prepare well for your exam and excel..

You are not alone in this line of thought. It is inconceivable that 3 ACCA papers command more recognition in Canada than 15 ICAN papers. It is shameful, to say the least.

Yeah. I read somewhere on this thread where someone said that ICAN aca gets unfavorable evaluation because ICAN doesn't include grade/score in the transcript sent to wes which is contrary to WES' s specification. ...

if so, we can reach out to ICAN to start doing the needful... by the time two or three people write to them.....they'll adjust.. we can't keep calm

I really don't understand how Ican Ats will get a positive evaluation while Ican ACA won't, considering ICAN ACA is a much higher qualification. ..

There's something ICAN isn't doing right... if anyone knows why wes isn't evaluating it positively, kindly state so that we can bombard ICAN with calls, emails and their social media pages too

One can't spend years and resources doing ican, only for it to be that 'useless'.. ACCA is getting 4 year degree equivalence while ICAN ACA can't get even a year equivalency. . haba

I have talked to him. I have raised lots of prospect for the future which we agreed on. I have given him a lot of heads up and better ways to handle future things that's not money consuming. I'm using every means available including prayers to set it right.I want to ask a question, can you plan a future with a man you see just once in 4 or 3 months?

What arrangements are you guys making to be closer? I just feel like if the distance factor is eliminated, your relationship will be a lot more enjoyable. .

I was in a LDR with my bf for sometime(now husband) but we made arrangements/sacrifices to be together because we wanted a future together. .

If you guys are serious, then you should be planning on how to bridge the distance prob... If you don't make such discussions, then you probably ain't planning a future together hence shouldn't be together. .

people have evaluated their ACCA ..its not a new thing...if you read the trend from the beginning you will see a screenshot of someone that evaluated hers and it was equivalent to a 3yrs Bsc Certificate.
