Also, why would there be a sin like adultery if God created men polygamous? Abi the law applies to female alone? .... God even approves divorce on grounds of adultery, this further tells you how much He frowns at it and how MONOGAMOUS he created us!

My dear, cheating is solely a choice, not in anyone's gene.. all men don't cheat..my dad never cheated on my my mum so it's not in their nature. ..

It's just the level of moral decadence, people sexualize almost everything these days; even an innocent pic could be misinterpreted. .. These days, what people term enjoyment is sex, drinking and other vain things.. no direction, life goals et al. .
The media also tend to publicise negativities more hence we keep hearing only sob stories daily. .

My dear, please don't settle for less..all men don't cheat....there are still very focused, disciplined and God fearing men out there who don't see disrespecting their wives/kids as enjoyment & who have life goals/ambitions outside sex..

People would always have different opinions on things but that shouldn't be your prob, pick the ones you want and discard the rest... Also, if you expect people to give you answers based on your own wish or emotions, then why ask questions in the first place when you already have an answer you think that suits you best ... when you ask a question, you should expect different opinions. .. the only thing I kick against is insult!

Awww, what a concerned mama. Why not soundproof your house? Because those earmuffs may not be super-comfortable (unless you can find special newborn ones). Look for the quietest room and soundproof it. The local way of doing so is to put mattress across the windows but it makes it hot. So I'm sure there's a better way.

I won't worry too much about the noise.
You will be surprised how babies adapt to their natural environment and sleep through the noise.
I have seen babies sleep very soundly during night vigils and very noisy church environment without a care in the world.
You can invest in a very good rechargeable fan. So when the generators are on or you feel the noise is too much, you can shut the doors/Windows and put on the fan when there is no electricity.

My problem isn't really with baby catching some sleep, my problem is whether the noise may affect his ear drums or something. .
My street was recently tarred, so all commuters changed route, most of them ply my street now.. The most annoying ones are the keke napep with their loud music. . And there's a road bump just by our fence, most of the drivers will speed like they've forgotten there's a bump ahead, then comes screeching of tires. .
And our rooms are close to the fence and our fence is just by the road..
Some times I have to use earpiece inorder to get some sleep... My husband always jokes that we're practically living on the road.

Then night comes generator sound, though this one can be taken care of..

They're making plans to fence our street and put a gate, I hope it comes through. . Till then, I'm just worried about my baby's ears.. it's well

But your husband should see it as a means of saving you and his child, he should see it as a medical procedure rather than something you're engaging in out of will... It's not your fault or desire that peeps/docs be choking fingers/hand into your vg, nature made it that babies come through that means hence docs gat to do what they've to do...

He's not even concerned about the pains you may have to go through, abi he thinks docs inserting their fingers into your vg is fun?

Better tell your husband that even with cs, doctors go still see your vg o.. even though they may not put their fingers!

Take a hug first *hugs* The many pecks dat comes with motherhood and career. I ws once as confused as you are and I cried wen I had to, to ease my mind.

Ok, mum arranged for the girl for me thru one lady. I paid the lady 5k. Their salary range is within 10-20k depending on where they re comin from ie considering transport and the nature of their job.

My nanny stays close to me so we walks to work and she earns 12k. Her major chores are to clean my house, wash&iron baby's clothes and take care of him while I'm at work. She does not cook 4 me. Also, other extras I do: I bought her a phone and she eats twice or takes her last meal home.

As for my toddler, I drop off him and his nanny at granny's house. Sometimes if I'm running late, hubby does d drop off and either of us dat gets home first will do pick up.

For baby to sleep at night, I reduce screen time ie tv watching and he does a lot of outdoor play; football, race, riding bike etc. 7.30-8pm, he takes his bath and eats. 9-9.30p, lights out and I put him to sleep. Wen he wakes up at night, I feed him again and he goes back to sleep. In d morning, I give him a bath, dress him up, feed and take care of myself too then we all leave d house. Since I got preggy, dats a lot for me coupled with tiredness so hubby bathes and dresses him up and also does the drop off.

If you are preggy already, av a chat wit ur boss to allow you 1hr late. U can negotiate to close 1hr afta others to balance d time.

I don't knw of any nanny agency, I've always had people bring dem for me.

Take it easy each day as it comes and don't beat yourself to it. All the best dear

Someone suggested creche but I think my baby will be too young for creche at that time; he'll be 2mths + by God's grace. ..

This issue is really giving me headache. .it's even worse as my husband works offshore half of the time so I'm basically somewhat alone..
