Family members and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) members, who visited the arrested women remanded in Owerri Prisons earlier today, were banned and denied access to the women.

Armoured tanks were mounted at the entrance of the prison gate as the security agents, forced the visitors out.

According to reports, the only people allowed into the prisons for visitation, were those who came to see none IPOB members.

The compelled prison officials reportedly said they have been ordered not to allow visitors for the detained IPOB women.

The Deputy Controller of Prison was quoted as saying; " We have been ordered not to allow visitation of the IPOB Women remanded here. Take the Food back, until further notice".

All food items, drugs, clothes, were rejected by the prison officials and taken back home.

A 25-year-old tailor has died after he was allegedly brutalised by the police at Sangere outpost in Adamawa state. According to reports, the deceased was arrested based on suspicion that he bought stolen wrappers as he was allegedly beaten to pulp by one police officer identified as "Kaka". 

Muhammed was rushed to the specialist hospital in Yola, the state capital where he later passed away.

The victim was arrested based on suspicion that he bought a stolen wrappers on 10/8/2018 and was alleged to be beaten mercilessly by one police officer "Kaka" at the station, and was rush to specialist hospital yola and later gave up his life.

Please share this extra judicial happenings around till it reaches the appropriate body to investigate and act swiftly according to the law of the land.

Thousand of Nigerian pilgrims, joined millions of fellow Muslims on the plains of Mount Arafat today, in commemoration of the Hajj holy rites in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Being the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah (the Month of Hajj), widely known as the Day of Arafat, pilgrims of vast nationalities trooped from their previous camp in the tent city of Mina, to nearby plains of Arafat, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave his farewell sermon, according to Islamic tenets.

On Mount Arafat, pilgrims stand in earnest supplication and devotion, praying for God’s abundant forgiveness, while clerics admonish them on issues of religious and moral importance. The day closes upon the recitation of the evening prayer of Al Maghrib.

Nigeria on Friday, last week, concluded the transportation of pilgrims to this year’s Hajj with the arrival of about 55, 000 pilgrims. Of the figure, about 37, 000 pilgrims were airlifted by NAHCON while the remaining contingent were handled by private operators.

According to reports, armed policemen and operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, (SARS), allegedly snatched election materials at some polling units during the bye-election in Rivers state earlier today. One of the operatives accused of snatching the election materials - was seen smoking during the operation.

It was gathered that the policemen dressed in Mufti snatched electoral materials at mile 3 , Port Harcourt during the Port Harcourt State Constituency 3 Election.

They were allegedly accompanied the Factional Chairman, F. Amachre of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the units.

They SARS agents were led by one ASP David Amah.

Pictured is Joseph Metuh Onyinye, a Nigerian student who has regained his freedom following a drug charge in Malaysia. The 35-year--old Nigerian was freed after the prosecution failed to prove that he knew that an unopened parcel contained methamphetamine, known locally as syabu.

Justice Datuk Lim Chong Fong of the High Court in George Town acquitted Joseph Metuh Onyinye, 35, without calling for his defence.

He ruled that the prosecution had failed to establish a prima facie case against Onyinye, who was charged with trafficking 1.8kg of syabu.

The Nigerian was charged with committing the offence on Oct 31, 2014, at about 3.10pm at Miami Green Resort Condominium in Batu Ferringhi, Penang.

The Nigerian was charged with committing an offence under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which is punishable under Section 39B(2) of the same Act.

It carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction.

Report has it that the Nigerian was re-arrested and handcuffed a short while after his release by officers from the Immigration Department as his visa had expired. He may be bundled into the plane for a journey back to Nigeria, any time soon.

The people of Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government Area, Anambra State, decided not to take any chance after some Fulani herdsmen 'pitched their camp' in their community. The herdsmen had arrived the town and wanted to graze their cattle but the villagers refused and told them they are not welcomed in the community. 

The security men in the village accompanied by the youths peacefully chased the herdsmen and their cows out of the community. They villagers ensured they escorted the unwanted guests out of their village and warned them never to return. 

Earlier this month, some Fulani herdsmen who arrived Abatete in Anambra state, abandoned their cows and properties after sighting members of a vigilante group who arrived their camp in a bush.

The took to their heels over fear of risking their lives.

The vigilantes removed their camp as they said they don’t want the herdsmen in their land to avoid trouble.

Two notorious traffic bandits that had been terrorising road users along Maza Maza/Mile 2 road have been nabbed by the undercover operatives of the Command posted to provide security for commuters along that route.

The two robbers, David Mike Okon, 32 years and Ibe Okonne, 27 years, who had been on the watch list of the command were arrested on the 11th of August, 2018 while robbing a lady identified simply as Oluwatosin around Mile 2.

They had succeeded in dispossessing the victim of her phone and other valuables before they were arrested by the eagle eyed policemen attached to Raider team, Area E Command, Festac town, who had observed uneasiness in the woman's encounter with the suspects.
The suspects in their statements to the police owned up to the crime while the stolen items have been returned to the owner.

To forestall incidences of traffic robbery along Maza Maza/Mile 2 and Oshodi/ Airport Road, the CP Lagos has deployed additional teams of undercover operatives and motorised patrol teams to beef up security in the area.

Three men have been convicted of the death of a successful young male model when a row on social media boiled over into a violent street brawl in Shepherds Bush. 

George Koh, 24, a Liberian national of Broadhurst Gardens, Camden and Mersa Dikanda, 24, a Congolese national of no fixed abode were found guilty yesterday, Monday, 13 August of Harry Uzoka’s murder at the Old Bailey

Jonathan Okigbo, 24, of Trevithic House, York Rise, Camden was found guilty of manslaughter.

All three have been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced at the Old Bailey on Friday, 21 September.

25-year-old Harry, or ‘H’ as his friends called him, was fatally injured when a dispute between himself and Koh about a girl escalated to the pair arranging to meet for a fight.

He was chased and cornered around a parked car by Koh and three friends before his rival knifed him three times.

Wounded, Mr Uzoka stumbled towards his Shepherd’s Bush home, but collapsed and died on the pavement outside.

Harry was regarded as a growing celebrity in the modelling world and was well-liked and admired by his colleagues having cultivated a reputation as a laid-back person who was happy to give advice to help other people get ahead in the industry. He was regarded by many as the leading black male model in the UK.

He and Koh, who was also a model, were known to each other, though Koh did not enjoy as much success. The pair were not friends; Harry had been annoyed by attempts from Koh to emulate him and make contact with his friends, but there had not been anything to indicate any serious ill-feeling between the pair.

George Koh was obsessed with catwalk rival Harry Uzoka’s success and had boasted in Instagram messages he had slept with the GQ star’s girlfriend Ruby Campbell.

The corpse of a young lady was found early this morning on the street in Orsu area of Imo state. The deceased was left naked in the gutter by the roadside after being gruesomely murdered her unknown assailants suspected to be ritualists. 

Emergency officials were alerted as they arrived the scene to evacuate the corpse. 

A Facebook user, Amaka Chukwunyere, who shared the report, warned ladies to be careful with the kind of partners they relate with. 

She wrote;  Another young lady killed and Dumped on the street in Osu... We all Gotta be Careful, Especially Girls.. Be very very Careful with the kind of Friends, Boyfriends etc u deal with ...

I couldn't hold my tears after seeing this. all I can say for now is May God protect and Guide us from the wicked.. No temptation will over take us, God will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. And when we are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that we can endure it.

This murder is coming a day after persons suspected to be ritual murderers beheaded a woman in the same state, while one of her breasts was also cut off.

The incident happened in Mgbirichi community in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday, sending residents into a state of panic when the headless body was found lying somewhere near the Owerri/Port Harcourt Expressway.

A woman has been rescued after she was robbed and gang-raped off the road in Lekki, Lagos when she was out on a date with a Facebook friend. The suspect has been arrested and is currently in police custody. 

Lagos State police spokesman, CSP Chike Oti, revealed how the woman (names withheld) connected with the Facebook friend in July 2018.

The Facebook friend, who was described by the police as a rapist and armed robber was identified as one Richard Samuel Gbenga.

Oti said: “They interacted a couple of times, getting to know each other. However, on August 4, 2018, the said Richard Samuel Gbenga invited the young woman for a dinner and she accepted. She further told him where they would meet before taking off for the dinner.

“The suspect arrived at the agreed take-off point in a Toyota Camry saloon car registration number JJJ 406 DL driven by one Ayo Salau, a member of his robbery gang.

“On their way to Lekki, they pulled over at a lonely spot. Armed with cutlasses, they ordered her to take off clothes or be killed. Seeing she was naked, they took turns to rape her after which they robbed her of her wristwatch and cash.

“The moment the hoodlums left, the victim raised the alarm and gave a description of their car. Police operatives attached to Maroko Division were alerted and immediately they laid an ambush for the fleeing criminals.

“As soon as the police operatives stopped their vehicle, the criminals took to their heels. The officers chased them and arrested Ayo Salau Yusuf while his partner in crime, Richard Samuel Gbenga, escaped.

“The suspect had since been identified by the victim and he confessed to having committed the crime. He added that his fleeing partner recruited him for the job.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Imohimi Edgal, cautions the youths especially young women to beware of people who may use the social media to take advantage of them. He assures that the long arm of the law will surely catch up with the fleeing suspect.”

It was earlier reported that a woman was badly beaten and battered by her husband after a disagreement. The heartbreaking pictures which have been trending online - sparked outrage among netizens who condemned the shameful act by the man who is currently in police custody.

The shocking incident reportedly happened in Kenya. 

According to reports, the woman was brutalised her husband for not preparing food for him as requested. It was revealed that the man was angry that he didn't find any food on his table after returning from work despite giving her money for that earlier in the day. 

The angry man pounced on his beautiful wife and disfigured her face literally and even bit her ear in the cause of the beating. 

The man has been arrested as police revealed that he will face the full wrath of the law.

A man and his son were nabbed after allegedly stealing a dog and were about butchering it. According to Usman Ali, the duo were apprehended following a tip-off by someone who allegedly saw them stealing the dog. They were traced to their hideout where they were about butchering the animal.

After their arrest, they allegedly confessed that they wanted to sell parts of the dog and raise money that's why they decided to steal. 

The exact location of where it happened was not given but information given online has it that this happened in the northern part of the country.

The suspects have been handed to the police for prosecution.

A solider identified as Samuel Dogo has been declared missing by his distraught family. The 33-year-old army officer was reported to be serving in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital before he was deployed to the northern part of the country late last year and served at the Lake Chad region.

The soldier's family revealed that they have not heard from him since January this year (about eight months now). 

His family is appealing to the Nigerian army to give them an update on the missing solder.

Report has it that the young man is gaining more attraction and attention from the public because he never allows his condition to weigh him down. He was said to be also popular among other corpers at the NYSC camp due to his gentle nature.

This is very sad. A Nigerian man has died along with other migrants in a fatal accident in Foggia city in Italy. According to reports, the deceased identified as Mr. Romanus Mgbeke from Ebonyi state -  went to work with some other guys (about 11 other migrants), but unfortunately they had an accident and all the 12 of them died.

His family is yet to be contacted as his picture has been shared on social media in order to notify his people.

May his soul rest in peace.
