A young girl has been arrested for selling Indian hemp to the students in Kano state. According to reports, the girl was apprehended following a tip-off as she was caught selling the illegal substance to students of the Federal College of Education. The girl was arrested and is currently in custody as investigations are underway.

A former Polish politician from Abia state, has shown how cows are supposed to look like amid the debate of allowing open grazing for the Fulani herdsmen to rear their cattle across the country.

The 47-year-old founder and CEO of Pilgrim Ranch Nigeria, took to his Facebook page to share pictures of fat and well nourished cows as said Nigerian cows look like Kenyan marathon runners because they expend their energy to walk long distances.

The former lawmaker wrote;

This is what cows look like when they are raised in a ranch. Nigerian cows look like Kenyan marathon runners and it is not surprising because they use up energy that could have been used for building meat to walk long distances. Ranching is a business and should be treated as such.

Yesterday, the police announced the dismissal of four policemen attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, Lagos State, over robbery and other crimes. The dismissed officers, Sgt. Adeoye Adekunle, Sgt. Adekitan Adebowale, Sgt. Agbi Lucky and Sgt. Odighe Hehosa, were dismissed and subsequently charged to court for armed robbery, kidnapping, unlawful detention, and intimidation, as well as threatening violence.

The CEO of Behind Bars Initiative and Human Rights activist, Prince Harrison, who spent four years in prison before his release - celebrated the dismissal of the SARS operatives and here's why.

According to him, two of the dismissed officers were among the SARS agents who arrested him and sent him to prison on the alleged orders of one Barr. Mary Oyibocha Agbajoh (a former special assistant to ex-Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan). He was arrested and charged for conspiracy armed robbery, possession of firearms and attempted murder.

Between 2011/2012, these criminals were among the officers that sent me to prison after the culprit couldn't identify me. Order from Barr Mary Oyibocha Agbajoh (Former S.A to Delta State Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan). I was arrested and charged for Conspiracy Armed Robbery, Possession of Firearms and Attempt to Murder.

Today, i decided to reveal the face of the woman who took away four (4) years from me. The woman who caused pains to my parents. The woman who took away my graduation. Daily i cried to God after i left prison. I didn't have enough money to get Justice but God is not asleep

Two officers dismissed and behind bars, the remaining are: Inspector Omoregie, Sgt Famous AKA Tallest, Sgt Sunny, Barr. Mary Oyibocha Agbajoh.

A graduate of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma (AAU), has died in a tragic circumstance which is yet to be determined. The deceased simply identified as Jonathan, was said to have died after he vomited blood and was rushed to the hospital. Some of his close friends who are mourning his death have alleged that the young man was poisoned by his enemies, while others claim that the deceased was sick which made him vomit blood before his demise.

It was also reported that the deceased who was a model before his death, was first taken to the church after he started vomiting blood before he was rushed to the hospital where he later gave up the ghost.

Jonathan appeared to be very popular among his peers as many of his friends have taken to social media to mourn his death.

Some people who claim to have known him before his death - have made some controversial comments on Facebook (see below).

A young man identified as Shehu Alaka, a student of Umaru Musa Yar'adua University in Katsina state, has been killed by armed robbers. According to his friends who have taken to social media to lament his death, the deceased who was based in Abuja - was said to be returning home when his bus was ambushed by armed robbers along Kaduna-Abuja road and he was killed in the process.

Shehu Alaka was said to be a former P.R.O. of Ilorin Emirate Students Union and member of the electoral committee of NAKSS’ last convention.

One of his friends, Issa Mutolib Ayobami wrote;

Shehu Shehu Muh'd Kamaldeen (Alaka). It's so painful you had to leave so early, we were both comrades, we conducted the last NAKSS convention together, and I saw a gallant man in you, a man I believe we would rule together one day, but cruel armed robbers took away my dream just like that, no matter how pained or how much I lament, it can't bring you back, so I would rather pray for your soul, I pray you find peace in your grave, I pray you have good companionship in your grave, I pray your sins no matter how little is forgiven by Allah, and lastly, I pray we are in the same garden in Paradise, I shall always live to remember you, Rest in Peace Brother!!!

It was a joyful and emotional moment as a young boy whom has been living on the streets in Benin, Edo state capital, for three years reunited with his people. It was disclosed that the family of the homeless boy thought he was dead not knowing he was living from hand to mouth on the streets.

According to Edo based philanthropist and entrepreneur, Amb Dion Osagie, the boy's family was located as he was reunited with them..

It was reported that the Imo state government embarked on massive demolition of a kidnapper’s dens and houses in Mgbidi area of the state. According to reports, one of the destroyed dens - housed an APC chieftain who was abducted and murdered in cold blood by the suspected kidnappers.

The Mgbidi residents were shocked when security operatives numbering more than 45 with Hilux vehicles and heavy machines stormed the communities to destroy the houses of kidnappers said to be kingpins in the crime industry.

The families of the suspects were said to have been evacuated by the time the bulldozers reached the location.

The APC chieftain was kidnapped and killed in Mgbidi by Ikenna Nwosu ( a.k.a Eze ego CEO Wisdom hotels Mgbidi) said to be the chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Mgbidi. Vitus Ibeabuchi (a.k.a Bebeto who is declared wanted), Eze Ezechukwu (a.k.a. Sepia) and Chidi Anya ( a.k.a. Bia rie) and others after receiving about 30 million ransom from their victim.

It would be recalled that in line with the decision of some state governments in the South East to curb kidnapping, the private houses and Hotels of suspects were bulldozed.

This is really touching. Despite the unexpected condition he found himself in, a man is thankful and appreciative to God for making him survive a fatal accident which could have killed him last year.

The man, Collins Odinaka, who lost an arm and a leg in the accident - shared a picture of himself with his three beautiful children as he rejoiced he cheated the tragic accident that would have made his children fatherless.

The outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, received a rousing welcome as he made his first public appearance since after the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state. The governor was surrounded by an excited crowd as they hailed him by his popular name 'Osoko' as he walked through the streets.

The All Progressives Congress, (APC) candidate in the Ekiti governorship election, Dr Kayode Fayemi, won the governorship election according to the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission in majority of the 16 local councils in the state.

APC won in 11 out of the 16 local government areas of the state, polling 197,459 votes, and edging out his closest rival Olusola of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who got 178,121 votes by 19,338 votes.

Meanwhile, Fayose has told the presidency not to rejoice yet, as he will have the last laugh. Fayose asked Buhari to bury his head in shame for using the police, army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and INEC to snatch the mandate given to Olusola and deliver it to Fayemi “whom Ekiti people rejected.”

Say no to jungle justice. A suspected thief met his Waterloo at the hands of angry mob earlier today in Akwa Ibom state. According to reports, the man was captured after attempting to steal a motorcycle at Urua Ekpa Junction, Akwa Ibom State.

He was beaten and immediately lynched by the crowd.

The suspect had already been burnt before the arrival of policemen as the baying crowd looked on.

Here are new pictures of a little girl who was suffered from severe malnutrition that made her bones stick out of her ribs in Cross River state. The little girl identified as Christy was rescued by Dr Betta Edu (pictured carry her below), the Director-General, Cross River Primary Healthcare Development Agency.

The girl who recently celebrated her third birthday - generated sympathy around the State with a few persons, volunteering to support care for their needs and education.

The malnourished girl, who survived severe pains as a child, is gradually gaining her footing in society, She is now grown and has turned into a beautiful young child.

Presently, she is in nursery school. According to the teenage mother who is also enrolled in a secondary school, she dreams of little Christy and her becoming a medical doctor so the can help other kids who are currently going through what she went through all those years.

While Nigerians are clamoring for change/reform of the special anti-robbery squad, SARS, a picture of the security operatives posing with guns in mufti have got internet users talking. Online users who are not happy with the way the agents operate, have heavily criticized and labelled them "reformed criminals" due to their looks.

According to some Nigerians, these are the same set of operatives who judge and arrest innocent people by their looks not knowing that they too look like thugs.

Meanwhile, The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State command, Edgal Imohimi, has issued a stern warning to policemen attached to divisions in the state to desist from wearing mufti bearing ‘SARS’ (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) while carrying out official duties. He threatened to sanction any policeman who violates the directive.

To march his words with action, Edgal said the two policemen, who allegedly assaulted a lawyer last week in Ikoyi area of Lagos, would be demoted in ranks, for wearing plain clothes to effect the arrest of the legal practitioner.

Contrary to report by the Nigerian army that no soldier was killed during the ambush by Boko Haram troops in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, three soldiers have been confirmed dead.

Ahmad Salkida, a journalist known to have access to the leadership of Boko Haram, had earlier quoted military sources as confirming the army suffered casualties in the attack.

The Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brig-Gen. Texas Chukwu, in a statement Monday, said the news making the round alleging attack on soldiers and capturing of military vehicles by Boko Haram were exaggerated.

He was categorical that the report is not only untrue but misleading as the said report is blown out of proportion by the media, stressing that it was only one officer and soldier that were injured in the attack.

He stated that there was an attempted attack on troops at Kwakwa and Chingori communities in Bama area of Borno State by suspected Boko Haram terrorists as a result of the difficult terrain “where our vehicles bugged down”.

According to him, the terrorists also attempted to cart away the troops’ operational vehicles, but were successfully repelled by “our gallant troops with the support of the Nigerian Air Force”.

An armed robber known for his notoriety has met his Waterloo after heavy shootout with police operatives along Wamba Road in Akwanga, Nassarawa State. According to reports, the armed robber has been terrorizing residents of the area before a manhunt was launched for him and his gang members.

On seeing the policemen, the armed robber opened fire on them but was overpowered and gunned down by the security agents after heated gun battle.

His corpse was later taken away by the police as efforts are in top gear to apprehend his cohorts.

A notorious hoodlum and suspected killer has been apprehended in Imo state. The suspect who is currently cooling off his heels in police custody was nabbed after the confession of his gang member who was arrested by police operatives in Owerri, the state capital.

The suspect was beaten mercilessly after his capture before he was transferred to the Imo police headquarters for more interrogation.

In a video footage posted online, the suspect identified as Onyebuchi confessed and narrated how he and his gang members abducted their victim before robbing and also killing her in the process.
