Scores of women belonging to the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) on Thursday stormed the venue meeting between southern leaders and those of the Middle Belt at the event tagged 'Handshake Across The Niger' and confronted the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo elders, saying that they want outright dismembering of Nigeria instead of restructuring as they asked about the whereabouts of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The women who came from Imo and Abia States shouted that they are opposed to restructuring because of the killing of hundreds of their children by the military during the Operation Python Dance late last year.

During the event, the women among the pro-Biafra agitators, to the shock of guests, pulled off their top wears, leaving only brazier, as a way of protest. It took several minutes for the organizers to calm them down, with an assurance that they would be allowed to present their case formally to the summit.

Chairman of the local organizing committee of the summit, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode and several others moved straight to the area where the IPOB members were seated and made efforts to pacify them.

Ubah, who later apologized to the guests over the uproar, ‎appealed to the IPOB members to remain calm as one of them would be invited to make a presentation.

They continued pro-Nnamdi Kanu chants outside the venue, while insisting that they would not accept anything as alternative to Biafra.

The pro-Biafran women said they will not rest until their son Nnamdi Kanu who was "abducted by Nigeria military is released".

The Cross River State Police Command has arrested 8 suspects who allegedly murdered an Inspector of Police, Mr Michael James on Christmas day in Uyanga community in Akamkpa LGA. The deceased until his death was attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Enugu State.

According to reports, the body of the deceased was taken to a shrine were he was turn into different parts for ritual purposes.

The Chief Priest of the shrine was also arrested as he was pictured holding the skull of the deceased (man seated at the extreme of the first roll).

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Hafiz Inuwa, confirming their arrest. Below is what he said.

“On Dec. 25 2017, one Inspector Michael James attached to SARS in Enugu State was on a visit to his in-law, retired ASP Dominic Umoh, who resides in Ojor village in Akamkpa Local Government Area.

“When he went out to Uyanga village to buy fuel, some youths from the community came out without provocation, attacked, killed and beheaded him.

“His severed head was later recovered at Uyanga shrine. The youths also seized the late inspector’s AK47 rifle, with double magazines and set his sienna vehicle ablaze, with registration number ENU 683 NK.

“Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of eight suspects and efforts are ongoing to arrest others at large and prosecute them accordingly.

“We recovered one locally made pistol, 17 empty cartridges, singlet of the deceased, one dry human skull, charms and the severed head of the late inspector.”

A man identified as Azubuike Okoye has revealed how his wife almost ruined his life after looting his properties and eloping with school boyfriend abroad. According to the man, the wife also abandoned their son whom was taken care of by their neighbour while he traveled to buy some goods.

My decision not to listen to my family has almost ruined my life.

I met her four years ago, I thought she was an Angel sent to me by God,immediately I went ahead to see her family and perform the necessary rites, and after eight months of our traditional wedding we got wedded in the church. After our first child a Boy, I was so happy that I to ask her to quit her Job and I opened a branch of my business for her, deal on Fabrics at Wuse market, I gave her access to everything she wants, but she gave me the shock of my life last year when I traveled to go and buy goods upon my arrival I only found my son with my Neighbor at my House.

He narrated to me how he came back from the market and found my son Sitting outside and crying and he haven’t seen my wife since two weeks , I thought that was all until the next day that I went to the market I opened my shop it was empty and I went to her own, it was empty,I almost killed myself but thank God I didn’t.

I called her it was switched off, I later got to know that she eloped with her school boyfriend to Abroad, my family actually kicked against me getting married to her but I only thought my sisters were just being jealous and insecure because I am the only male child but I never knew they saw what I never saw in her.

Thank God I have moved on, I have forgiven her and I wish her well in her new found love and home, as for me all I have got to do now is to secure my sons future and make sure he doesn’t lack anything nor make same mistake I made.

Some women are the reason why people tag ladies gold diggers,she only got married to me to steal from me. Please my advice to every single man out there don’t be blindfolded by love,while in love try and also listen to your family their reasons might be genuine..

A hyena was recently spotted by the WCS camera-trap at the Yankari Game Reserve In Bauchi state. The hyena was caught on camera in the middle of the night as the animal is rarely seen by visitors at the game reserve, according to reports. A magnificent roan antelope was also seen in the Game Reserve.

A beautiful Nigerian police officer has returned back to the country after completing her assignment under the African Union (AU) peacekeeping mission in an undisclosed African country. The Arole Oduduwa, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has called for national peace, unity and tranquility which he said are the pillars to strengthen Nigeria’s quest for socio-economic development in 2018.

The Ooni of Ife who is the Spiritual leader of the Yoruba race said this in Ile-Ife on Saturday at the Grand-finale of the interdenominatonal New Year Prayer Programme organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ife Chapter.

He acknowledged the goodness of God for the gift of life and the opportunity to witness the day.

The Co-chairman of National Traditional Rulers Council Of Nigeria also urged Christians to let their thanksgivings always supersede their requests from God.

“God is the Almighty King of Kings that spares our lives throughout 2017 till date despite all challenges facing each and every one of us. "There is nothing we can offer Him than to give Him all our praises throughout the days of our lives.

"Only God is worthy of our praises for we are still alive to see the new year, who can questioned God, if we all have been buried in the year 2017?". Ooni said.

The African foremost monarch called on Christians to always pray for peaceful coexistence before, during and after the forthcoming elections across the state and the entire country, saying they must support Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the State of Osun and his cabinet in their efforts to make the state a better place for businesses to thrive and for peace to reign.

He ended his speech at the inter-denominational event by counselling the youths to always shun violence and to work assiduously for a brighter future of the country.

Notorious cultist terrorizing Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government area of Rivers state, Johnson Igwedibia fondly called Don Wanny is dead. The kidnap kingpin and mass murderer, Don Wanny was killed in his hideout in Enugu state, according to report by the Nigerian army.

A combined team of troops of eighty-two Division Nigerian Army Enugu and personnel of DSS Rivers State Command raided the hideout to arrest him and his other accomplices. They attempted to escape through the back exit of the apartment and were shot down by the eagle eyed troops in the process.

A man based in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state was so excited about the news of Don Wanny's death that he had to visit the Military Hospital Mortuary in Port Harcourt to see the corpse before it was deposited. The excited man posed for series of pictures with the corpse.

A man is filled with thanks and appreciation to God after surviving a ghastly motor accident in Imo state. The man who was driving the car - reportedly lost control as he veered off the highway and landed in a ditch. A gallant police officer sergeant John Musa has been laid to rest after his demise on December 28, 2017. The 43-year-old police officer was buried in his uniform at his hometown in Kala's district of Adamawa state on Wednesday, January 3 (yesterday). May his soul rest in peace.
