A very talented Nigerian artist identified as Alex Peter has got himself trending on Twitter after sharing photos of his creatively awesome art work on the social media platform. According to the hyper-realistic pyrography artist, he uses razor blade to draw on wood and burner. How nice.

Meet lovely Nigerian pilot, Aniema Violet Enahoro, who has made name for herself in a male dominated aviation industry. The pretty pilot is from Oron in Akwa Ibom state and married to a pilot from Edo state. The lady who worked with Aerocontractors - disclosed that she receives several encouraging and pleasant remarks from Nigerian passengers, mostly women whenever they see her on flight deck.

In an interview conducted some years back, Violet Enahoro revealed how she enjoys being married to a pilot and how they share stories about their work. In her words;

I’m married to a pilot and this works perfectly for me. They say pilots talk about flying a lot. It’s true, it never gets boring, no two days are really the same and usually I can’t wait to get home and tell him about some weird escapade and vice versa ( be at peace, pilots don’t take passengers up and hunt escapades). I also have a 3 year old and another on the way, which means I’ll have to stop flying soon.

Remember Rev.Fr. Cyriacus Onunkwo, the Orlu diocesan Catholic priest who was murdered by his abductors after he came back from US for the burial of his father....now both of them are to be laid to rest. The Catholic priest was said to have been abducted from his vehicle in Orlu, a town in Imo state earlier this month.

It was revealed that the abduction and killing of the Rev Fr took place when he returned from oversees to plan for the burial of late father.

Following a manhunt, a body was discovered in the bush in Omuma village in Orlu east local government area.

Some suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnap and murder of the clergy.

Here are photos from the grand finale of 2017 Oranyan Festival. A major highlight of the event was the wearing of Sese-Efun (White Coral Bead Crown) by the Alaafin of Oyo; his Imperial Majesty, Alaafin Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III. According to reports, the Sese-Efun crown was made centuries ago and historically it has only be worn seven times by the successive Alaafins.

According to the historians, Alaafins do wear the crown only after ten years of coronation.

Another highlight of the event was the performance by Ayabas to showcase one of the best cultural tradition and Oyo historical pre-eminence was "igba titi" otherwise known as calabash drumming. While this was being done, the Ayabas were singing the praises and eulogising the past and the present Alaafin of Oyo.

The festival indeed attracted several traditional rulers, government functionaries, artists, cultural enthusiasts, Oyo sons and daughters at home and from diaspora. Guests were entertained by the cultural troupe and masquerades.

Friends and family members of a security aide to the governor of Ogun State , Ibikunle Amosun, who died in a ghastly motor accident on Thursday night - are counting their loss. The security aide who is the Second -In – Command in the Governor’s convoy, Busoye Olayinka, popularly called “Robot,” - an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), was involved in the accident along Papalanto stretch of the old Lagos/Abeokuta expressway around 9:00 p.m.

He was traveling with his younger brother when the accident occurred. The brother also died in the accident.

It was learnt that the duo were driving to Olayinka’s home after the day’s work but met their unfortunate death.

His ash-coloured Nissan Premera marked , Lagos, PH 406 KJA collided with a truck with registration number, Kwara, LEM 77 XA along the expressway. It was learnt that the duo were driving to Olayinka’s home after the day’s work but met their unfortunate death.

The truck was reversing from the compound of a steel company along the highway when the two vehicles collided.

Aderemi died at a private hospital in Panseke area of Abeokuta.

This is really serious. A woman allegedly went mad after sex in Delta state yesterday. According to Sapele Oghenek, an unidentified man who lodged at Covenant Suit Hotel in Sapele Warri/Sapele Road, Delta state secretly packaged the unclad woman in his Lexus Jeep and wanted to drop her outside the hotel before she jumped out of the car and began mental display.

The woman was reported lodged by the unknown man at room 101 in the hotel where they had sex.

According to Sapele Oghenek, the management of the Hotel refuse to open the Hotel for the lady to go inside after the public show as they also denied public access to identify the man.

According to reports, due to the shocking incident, Okada riders invaded the gate of the Hotel to know what actually happened to the woman...

The grave of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu's cousin (Adaku Odemelam) is getting set ahead of her burial today. The lady was among the victims killed during the military invasion in Umuahia, Abia state. She was allegedly hit by a stray bullet during shootout by soldiers on 14th of September 2017.

Her grave is being dug near the residence of the IPOB leader at Afaraukwu in Abia state. May her soul rest in peace...

The Elimgbu Division of The Nigeria Police led by the DPO, SP Joseph Ogunade recently recovered this Toyota Sequoia SUV. The Vehicle was snatched from the owner Capt. A thief who was caught stealing car batteries was rescued yesterday from being lynched by an angry mob after they doused him with petrol and almost set him ablaze in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital. After he was saved by a good Samaritan from being killed, he was taken into custody by policemen who were later called.

Read below what his rescuer wrote on Facebook;

#AbortedJungleJustice... I just save life this #ForgivingSunday Morning... This young boy was caught by area boys stealing car batteries and other items in a mechanic workshop, they tighten the boy like he-goat pour petrol on him, about to set fire on him to burn to ashes... As God may have it I stepped into the scene, introduced myself and ordered all of them to stand down their actions else everybody will go in for it.... Though wasn't easy for them to obey me, I immediately call Police for backup, to also take away the boy for proper investigations....

No fewer than four persons have been killed in Asaba, the Delta State capital. The suspected assailants, who invaded an Hausa/Fulani settlement at about 10pm Friday night at the Abraka market within the Asaba metropolis, killed three men, one woman and left several others with injuries.

The suspected killers shot sporadically as people slept and later threw bomb into a Mosque around an area called Cable point.

Vanguard reports that a brave Hausa man picked up the bomb and threw it into the river before it could explode.

A source told the newspaper that soldiers and policemen came to their rescue and chased the suspected invaders away.

He said the security agents took the injured persons to the hospital for treatment and deposited the corpse of the deceased at the mortuary.
