A two-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her class teacher at a school in Orlu area of Imo state. After the matter was exposed and people started picking interest in the case, the alleged rapist is now being labelled an insane man. According to an online report, even the police that arrested him are asking that he should be forgiven due to his "mental condition".

Part 2 This morning,they called me at the station and they were saying the guy is mentally deranged ..that I should pardon him and I was asking the school authorities how a mentally deranged man could be employed as a teacher in a school..what a shame!! and the baby's test results just came out and she's safe but the hospital said we should wait for a month before we come for HIV test cos the disease doesn't manifest immediately..

But am still sticking to leaving the idiot there at least until his bail

A boy was allegedly burnt and wounded with a pressing iron by his guardian (who adopted him) after hurting playfully injuring her child. . According to ‎Munachimso Ukachi Okorie‎, the adopted boy who the woman takes as her brother and house help - mistakenly injured the woman's son with hot iron while pressing his school uniform on Sunday (yesterday).

Instead of giving him an appropriate punishment for his offence, the woman was said to have reacted by burning the young boy back with the hot iron, thereby injuring him in the process.

According to reports, the woman's husband allegedly said the boy would have experienced worse had it been he was around.

Please I need people to weigh in on this, the boy on the left is living with his big sister who is married although she adopted him for her mother because she didn't bear any son.

On Sunday 22nd of October, the brother who also dubs as a help was ironing his school uniform and his big sisters son came there, out of play he hurt the sisters son with the hot iron. And after beating him up mercilessly, she used the iron and hurt her own little brother..

And the husband told the boy he is lucky he wasn't around he would have done worst. Please is this inhumanity still supposed to be found among humans. Even if the child did this intentionally, was it worth her reacting like this.. Believe there are more ways to discipline a child or correct them...

A young Nigerian lady has taken to twitter to thank God after cheating death following a recent horrific motor accident at Wuse area of Abuja. Twitter user ( @Mishdoo ), shared photos of the car accident which she came out from alive and with only minor injures. According to her, the seat belt she wore cut in half and bruised her neck and even the airbags didn't deploy but all the same she survived.

The young lady who attributed her survival to God wrote; "Do you have any idea how lucky you are?" First of all, God did that.

There was a mild drama in Koluama 2 in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area Of Bayelsa state as five Secondary school students wrote a commitment letter to their their sponsor, Dr Nimibofa Ayawei, promising to be of good behavior . In the letter, the students pledged not to indulge in anti social vices such as drugs, prostitution and cultism. They went a step further to vow that they won't get pregnant till they graduate and properly get married.

The letter was delivered to Dr Nimibofa Ayawei by the students who went on a visit to his country home.

In his response, he thanked the little girls for their courage and commitment and also pledged to take care of all their academic expenses to their university level and advised them to take their studies seriously.

He also promised to send them laptops to expose them to be computer literate before they write their WAEC/JAMB in few years time.

Earlier today, it was reported about how a six (6) months pregnant lady identified as Ogechukwu was arrested alongside others by her employer for allegedly stealing in Delta state. The 17-year-old girl who was released from police detention on Tuesday (yesterday) - was charged to court today where she was granted bail and released by a magistrate.

According to the CEO Behind Bars imitative Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, who helped in securing her bail, the young lady's story is painful as she was reportedly drugged by her own sister and raped by the sister's boyfriend and now she's pregnant.

Prince Harrison also revealed that plans are underway to arrest one of the perpetrators in Lagos state.

Remember the boy who trended online after photos of his talented work went viral. The boy identified as Umar Maizaki from Gombe state - designed and constructed this NNPC fuel tanker model by using locally sourced materials. The boy reportedly constructed the tanker model all by himself.

The pictures were shared online in order to get the attention of the state governor and now it has happened for him. The boy has been offered scholarship from secondary school to university level - all thanks to Gombe state government.

Gombe State Commissioner for Youth, Malam Farouq Yarma, recently hosted Umar in his office to tell him about the scholarship. Umar's design project has also been funded by Gombe state government in order for him to maximize his talent.

It was reported earlier today about the bad state of Calabar/Ikom highway after a portion of the road collapsed at Iwuru, Biase LGA of Cross River state. The road was completely cut into two - causing motorists and road users to be stranded.

A bus which was filled with passengers traveling – crashed at the collapsed site, reportedly killing two people and injuring others.

It was a black Monday today 16th October 2017 in Imo state as multiple accident involving heavy trucks and other vehicles occurred along Owerri-Onitsha express way (Njaba Hill). The Head NEMA Owerri Operations Office, Hon. Evans Ugoh on getting the information activated the relevant stakeholders in disaster management.

With timely intervention, many people with varying degrees of injuries were taken to the hospital.

Two instant deaths were recorded as at the time of this report.

A Nigerian man decided to show his bravery by sharing photos of him playing with live scorpions and a python which he labelled his "pets" after capturing them in Borno state. According to information gathered online, the man claims that he can never be harmed by even the deadliest of animals due to his "spiritual fortification".

The man posed with the deadly animals as he took series of selfies with them which he shared on Facebook.

It's a sad moment for the family and friends of a young Nigerian soldier identified as Victor IK Sese, who passed away tragically. The gallant soldier from Nsukka, Enugu state, who was said to have joined the Nigerian army two years ago - died after he was allegedly shot dead by unknown gunmen.

Some of his friends who lamented his death on Facebook claimed the young soldier was shot to death on Sunday night while on duty at his base in Minna, Niger state.

Blood was seen on the body of the soldier as his corpse was conveyed to the mortuary yesterday. May his soul rest in peace...

A prison warder has reportedly taken her life after leaked pictures of her alleged relationship with an inmate surfaced online. The warder who worked at Losperfontein Correctional Centre in South Africa was said to be in a romantic relationship with a prison inmate.

According to media reports, after the pictures emerged online, the employee to take her own life. She allegedly killed herself on Monday morning (today) and a suicide case had been opened.

An investigation is reportedly underway to indicate the violations and to recommend sanctions to the inmate involved.
