According to reports filtering in from Aba in Abia state, normalcy is gradually returning to the area following the heightened tension between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB and men of the Nigerian Army for some days now.

A reporter/journalist Linda Osuala who went round Aba town shared photos of the current state as residents including the Hausa community have returned back to their businesses - engaging in normal activities of the day.

The pictures were reportedly taken around the mosque in Aba.

A woman who decided to take the bull by the horns - was spotted with a placard seeking for job for her husband in Lagos. The woman went for job hunt with her husband's CV right in her bag as she stood under the sun in order to achieve her aim. She was spotted by a twitter user who posted the photos via his account.

A driver identified as TamunoTonye Abbey Kalio has allegedly absconded with his company's vehicle and money in Rivers state. His boss, Charles Senibo, shared a picture of the driver online and wrote;

The military operation at the residing area of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, is still on, according to multiple online sources. According to Somto Okonkwo, a publisher at The Biafra Herald, a military helicopter has been hovering around Nnamdi Kanu's residence in Umuahia, Abia state.

According to the reporters, the jet has been hovering around the area for the past 24-hours as other soldiers are conducting land operation in their trucks and tanks.

Meanwhile, some IPOB members were apprehended earlier today by soldiers while on their way to the home of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu in Abia state. The members are believed to be heading to the state to "defend" their leader against the military invasion.

Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, along with other ministers are in currently in attendance at the Federal Executive Council meeting at the State House, Abuja. Today’s FEC meeting will be presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This is coming amid controversy of her support for ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

Alhassan had recently drew up a line of controversy when she publicly declared her support for former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2019 election.

Alhassan had given the reason for her support on the fact that Buhari had, prior to the presidential election told the All Progressives Congress, APC, that he would only rule for one term.

Some robbers who broke into a supermarket in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital earlier this month - were caught on CCTV camera while carrying out their operation. Photos of the thieves looting the shop were shared online in a bid to create awareness and probably apprehend the robbers.

Few days ago, it was reported that a motorcyclist popularly known as Okada man was stabbed to death by suspected robbers in Amukpe, Sapele area of Delta state. The body of the diseased who is an Hausa man was found in the early hours of the morning lying lifeless.

Two suspects/ ritualists Emma and Power have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder.

There were arrested by a vigilante group along Warri road and handed over to soldiers. The soldiers immediately shot them on their legs before interrogation, according to reports.

According to reports, one of the suspects Power confessed that they took the victim's joystick after killing him as they planned to take it to a native doctor's place. He also confessed that they sold the victim's motorcycle for N70,000...

It was also revealed that the strategy used by the hoodlums was to enter a motorcycle, kill the rider and take his body parts as specified by the native doctor and sell the motorcycle.

In the course of the interrogation, the other suspect Emma refused to confess and even urged his gang member to close his mouth and stop confessing. He was immediately shot dead by the soldiers, according to reports.

The other suspect died hours after interrogation following the injuries he sustained from the interrogation and gunshots.

The Rivers state police command has arrested a man over illegal possession of crude oil. The man who is reported to be come from Abia state was caught breaking pipelines in Rivers state. The suspect was arrested by the DPO Eleme division. He is currently in police custody as investigation continues.

A fraudster who has been duping people and lying to them that they have won money and that they would receive through Zoona ( a financial institution in Zambia) has been arrested. The man was apprehended after he attempted to dupe a Lusaka resident yesterday by telling him that he had won money and that he would be paid through Zoona.

A Police officer at Lusaka Central has disclosed that after the suspect, whose real identity has been concealed for fear of jeopardizing investigations, was apprehended following an alert by a Lusaka businessman Mwaba Mutale. He led the police anti-robbery squad to a house where a number of weapons, as well as charms and bibles were found.

“The suspect told us to what they consider with his friends their safe house and there we found a lot of charms and bibles as well as passports, NRC and pictures of various people. They even marked certain photos Bleep and there are lots of fake dollars we have recovered,” the Police source reveals.

And the Police officer says there is possibility that the suspect is involved in killings that have in the past characterized Lusaka and some parts of the country adding that, when all the information is gathered following a thorough investigation, the Police through its spokesperson will update the public.
