RomanceRe: Am I Really In Love With Him? by pri3stess(op): 12:08am On Oct 23, 2013
madone: @ op sori I didnot mean to be rude or harsh. its just DAT u need to hear the truth that's why u came here and u have to get the truth cos u will not build ur love on pity. soon u will want him to take u out for shop and ice cream he can't cos he does not have the resources and I see you accusing him of insensitive in the next 6months cos he ll not meet your need as a woman. Then intelligence and fine face will not matter to you cos u av seen it all then u ll leave him for another guy causing serious heart break that ll make him unstable and unable to concentrate ön his studies.so you see why you have to leave him allow be for now.love can wait
Erm I undertstand that you had to be blunt with it, but I don't even live in Nigeria and all that ice cream rubbish is not my style, I'm not a very materialistic person, if I want ice cream I can buy it for myself. Because of the way that I was raised I even feel ashamed when I have to ask people for money exept it's from a relative, I don't expect much financially from a guy, I just want him to be financially responsible for himself first. I don't even know if I want to date him because first of all, he's not even black so I don't know how my family is going to respond, and me too Im trying to focus on my studies and i dont think this would be a good time to be in a relationship. even though we don't date I just want to be his friend and help him in some way, maybe give him some money anytime that I can, but he may end up thinking that I see him as a charity case instead of me just being a friend. That's my dilemma right now.
RomanceAm I Really In Love With Him? by pri3stess(op):
I think I'm falling for a guy in one of my classes. He's a gentle man, he's funny, he's intelligent, and on top of everything is he's handsome. The only problem is, he's poor not like "I'm broke right now and I can't afford to take a girl out, it's more like " I'm broke and I don't even have money to buy school supplies or soap". He even once told me that he doesn't have a bedroom at home, that he sleeps on his relatives couch. I got to know all that about him because we had a group assignment and he was my partner, I think it was really honest of him to tell me that about himself because most people would hide it, I didn't want to ask him about his parents, because I thought that would be a bit too personal.
Although he's three years older than me, we are in the same level in college, but he's a serious student and he has a promising future.
Now, because of the time I spent taking to him I'm beginning to have this mushy feeling anytime I see him, it's not even funny because antime I'm feeling sad and I see him or hear his voice, I just become happy. I have never been in love before so I don't know if I actually like him or I feel sorry for him and I just want to show him affection. I'm really confused, but I really think it's just pity, I really want to help him like giving him money to buy personal items etc, but I don't know how he's going to react, I just feel so sorry for him.

teetee123: Must everything be Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba? what of the other tribes. I can see that most Nigerians dont even know the tribes of Nigeria and her people? Can you tell me the tribes all these wonderful kids?

For your information Divine Toruemi is not an Ibo name neither is Mohammed Kenubu an Hausa name and for all we care David Adekunle may be Edo and not Yoruba.
Nigeria is not just Hausa, Ibo and Yoruba.
Haha so on point. I once met a Nigerian girl (yoruba) in the US that told me that there are only 3 tribes in Nigeria and delta and Rivers state are Northern states. And this girl was 13 when she left Naija, so don't be suprised if you meet people that think the only tribes in Nigeria are Hausa,Igbo &Yoruba.

Christianity EtcRe: Are Churches Really Helping The Poor And Unemployed In Our Society Today? by pri3stess(f): 3:47pm On Oct 10, 2013
InvertedHammer: /

Churches are not in business to help the poor.

Their jobs are centered around winning souls for Christ.

You will reap your benefits in heaven.

Meanwhile, bring your wallet.

Christianity EtcRe: Are Churches Really Helping The Poor And Unemployed In Our Society Today? by pri3stess(f): 3:43pm On Oct 10, 2013
nwanna89: Attended an RCCG service in US recently. One pastor came from nigeria for a four-day event. The first day, he told church members to sow a seed in their life by dropping $500 each. The next day, he told the same church members to sow yet another seed in their lives with $1200. Didnt attend the third day, but am sure it wouldve been the same. In other words, a pauper attending the church cannot also gain from God's blessings.

The size of the seed does not determine the size of the tree...
Really? Wow I would have given that man a very deafening slap for spewing such rubbish and I don't care if I was in church, I'm sure even God was angry at him for what he said.

most Nigerian foods are prepared with meat so who has the time to be resisting temptation of not eating meat? anyways because of the heat here, people that become vegetarians will look like Ethiopians because they will become so lean.
RIP to the lost souls. I have always said it, 'it's safer to travel by land' where one is ok with surviving an accident. Even if one dies, @least one's corpse will be seen. Unlike plane where once the plane crashes, everyone dies and the matter gets worse as many burns to ashes. Just that plane is a flexing thing and one can't just go abroad and even some places in Naija by land.
Nooo it's actually safer to travel on air than on road. Every day we hear about accidents that kill people on the road, but if you pay attention to reports about plane crashes, you would realize that plane crashes are actually less frequent than road accidents.

RomanceRe: How Did You React the first time You Met Your Blind Dates? by pri3stess(f): 4:52pm On Oct 02, 2013
kagari: Just had one blind date back in 2007, my cousin called her wit my fone, they were church mates. She called back i was rude at her but later calmed down while we chatted.
MTN blessed the relationship by introducing night calls.
She told me the opposie of what she was: she said she was dark, ugly, lanky, k-leg. But a spirit told me to hold-on tight
then i was smallish, skinny and ok facially
i travelled all d way from enugu to amichi in anambra to meet dis babe. Based on the profile she gave, i went with so much confidence to chop and clean mouth.
When i got to the spot she told me to wait for her, she sent her maid to come check me out, the babe fine die, she just asked if i was waiting for someone and i said yes then she left
after 5 minutes i saw the most beautiful girl iav ever seen in nigeria approach me and i prayed seriously that she shouldnt be d one cause i was already scared and shy.
But to God be the glory she was She. She loved me so much cause i made laugh always, she didnt care about my money not until she left anambra for unilag then Abuja.

Last bullet; a female musician who behaves like a dude is presently dating her
It's as if I know who you are talking about, does she currently live in Abuja?
