Nope, restructing Nigeria won't do much change.

Nigeria cannot live off the revenue of the raw materials and minerals we sell forever...we have to change how the econom works

And for that, we don't need to wait for restructruing to do that.

(The problem I have with restructring is that most people who shout that thing...usualy think that the old regions worked. They didn't...most people were poor and illiterate, and our froex needs were not as much as it is now).

If we have practiced regions and it didnt work, we have practiced unitary system now for decades, still didnt work. Nigeria should better path ways like many European countries did.

U see this current system: It will never ever ever ever work.

50 years to come, if we continue this system, Nigeria will be worse, just as Nigeria is worse compared to 30 years ago. There were time electricity was stable in Nigeria, now, it is worse. So, Nigeria actually gets worse each year.

Because when you people give them a budget that is less than what one city can spend on its police force in the USA, and you people refuse to increase taxes to proivde the funds for the police to work well, and insist on paying them salaries that can't take them home...what do you expect.

The budget for the Police is 449 billion naira...or to be serious , less than 1 billion dollars. Meanwhile New York city spends ten times that for its police.

You cannot feed a child of yours one slice of bread in the morning, and one bottle of coke at night and expect that child to score 100% in his or her school exams.

This is why all of us should come together to demand for a restructured Nigeria so that regions with money can spend it as they like on their security. The current unitary system is wack.

See my sweat, yet I don't have electricity, no good roads, I was at Osogbo last year, almost all the FG roads that leads to the place is wack. I almost wept that at this stage in life, Nigerians still battle poor roads.

I still don't have security. At my place where we live, we had to opt for private security arrangements and we started paying for it.

I still don't have water. We dig borehole and use bottle water for drinking.

I still have to use fuel to power my generator in order to have sufficient electricity. My fueling money on yearly bases in crazy. That is just my house o.

Education is still poor. Very poor. U have to pay heavily to enjoy quality education. So, why do our leaders now take our money in the name of tax?

We are so cheated in Nigeria. It is so unfair to be born as a Nigerian. Sometimes I ask if there is truly a God becus Nigerians have gone thru hell.

While Nigerian Fulanis are spreading havoc and cows all across Africa, Southern Nigeria is spreading positivity, business ideas and development all across Africa and the world. Any news of "Nigerian" doing something good from Abroad is always a Southerner. Its high time Southerners join as a FORCE, i don't give a hoot about South West or South East.. In the North, they all see themselves as Northerners under a unified group.

This is what I have been saying. Southern Nigeria provide the human resources that drive this country. U will rarely see northerners so great things away from home. It is always in Nigeria that they dominate simply becus of useless political structure we run in Nigeria.

When u meet 2 southerners who have done crime abroad, u will surely meet 20 southerners who have done great things abroad.

We drive the country. Even in tax, it is our sweat that drive the country. Take away southern Nigeria, North will just die. I mean dia.

It hurts me seeing South east west and south south fight stupidly. North has northern governors forum but southern Nigeria has South East, South West, South South governors forum. That is madness.

Even Middle belt is more useful than North. They say North provide food, pls do they give us the food for free? We pay for the food. While the rest of our tax and vat and natural resources are used by all Nigerians including northerners for free.

I hope to see a future of southern Nigeria where we are united to either restructure this country into confederation or run USA model of true federalism.

Check out startups. U will rarely see northerners there. It is always young southerners that are doing it. Crazy thing.

Southerners would have come up with a sweet system of govt like seen in Europe if not for North.

Why Southern politicians are selling us away to these northerners is what I don't understand.

I can bet anyone that if North had thw type of human and natural resources that we have in Southern Nigeria, they would have pulled out of Nigeria long ago.

Great channels are expensive as f uck. So, when Nigerians complain about these DSTV and insult others for not showing same leagues, I laugh. The moment TSTV starts showing EPL and champions league, they may even be more expensive than DSTV packages. They need to cover the cost of obtaining the right to air EPL and also maintain their business and make profit.

So, EPL is all u want, then no one should complain about DSTV becus EPL and European leauges are expensive. As a customer, u must pay/

What most of them don't know is that geopolitical zone is different from tribe. Geopolitical zone is simply a political arrangement by the country. It doesn't change one's identity

You bear an edo surname cos your lineage chose to maintain its edo roots. Your cousin's family may have chosen to bear the igbo name for a change or probably because they (if of a female progenitor) married another family with an igbo name.

One thing u should know is that, the entire anioma clan (so called delta igbo group) aren't totally of igbo origin but a mix of igbo, edo, yoruba and igala tribes.

Some families chose to retain thier ancient surnames so as to maintain their origin and lineage.

My family, according to my father, was at one point of yoruba ancestry. But the female child amongst our yoruba ancestor married an Esan man. This happened when they (my yoruba progenitors) arrived in a town not too far from your ubulu-okiti (I won't mention my towns name but its under aniocha north lga in delta state). So the female child bore a son for her Esan tribe husband who is from present day Edo state.

They maintained the Esan name for almost 3 generations (Esabor to Igbedion and later changed to igbo name Egbune and then the name we currently bear which is also an igbo name).

So people may think because I bear an igbo surname rightnow; I am igbo. But when u read or study my families lineage you see the roots (partly yoruba and esan but now bearing igbo name).

Your edo surname simply means your family has its origin from the Edo migrants (probably Esan or benin) who came to settle in delta state many years ago.

Hope you now understand.

I don't think that he said surname, he said name. Like I told him, he should look at his lineage to know where he comes from.

Well, if your lineage is igbo, then u are igbo. There are igbos who even answer yoruba names. There are yorubas who bear igbo names. The issue is not mainly by the name. It is the lineage that determines all these. U are igbo my brother. There is a difference between geopolitical zone and ethnic lineage. Ur lineage is igbo in a different geopolitical zone.

FYI, the federal force was already on ground since early this week. Sunday even made a statement, if you read the news post well. In spite of the presence of the security personnel made up of Nigerian army, Sunday still went ahead to evacuate the herders from their settlements...that's bravery. Kanu has setup a unit that is fighting the fulanis in the forest. I actually think that there is no need to drag kanu into this. No one can fight govt alone. If we want progress, we must unite to fight. No need shame dragging.

If every region comes against Sunday now, and FG deploys special force against him, he will also disappear.

On a real note, the north is gradually becoming like Syria.

Every sort of insecurity is now there.

Before it was claimed that the east is hq of kidnapping. But now it's the north.

Banditry, Herdsmen and Boko Haram. And to imagine that 92% of the country's defense budget goes there is abysmal.

That is what is paining me. My money, my sweat collected from me through tax goes mainly to the north. It is so annoying. These people brought this upon them selves and we are all paying for it.
