PoliticsOnly A Mad Man Supports Current Structure Of Nigeria!! by Princedapace(op):
Before I begin my post, I would like to state why and what prompted this article. You see, I am not one of those crazy youths we have in this country. I read comments on nairaland and begin to wonder if we are okay, actually, are we okay?
Nigeria is a failed entity. Quote me anywhere. I was almost in tears few days ago when a man who struggled from hand-to-mouth was killed by a speeding SUV! That same road where he was knocked down happened to be road I usually make use of. Fortunately for me, I used that same road few minutes before that sad incident.
What happened? This man happened to be one of those extremely struggling Nigerians. He worked in a building site as a labourer. On that fateful day, he wanted to cross the road and one over speeding SUV knocked him down and the second vehicle hit him again.
When I got to the scene, he was already dead! He died painfully. What led to his death? The answer is ‘a failed state, a failed Nigeria, a hopeless Nigeria’ led to his death.
That same road usually experience accidents. This happened in Ibadan, south west Nigeria. Why did I mention Nigeria in this case? That road has two lanes. Each of the lanes has residential buildings, churches, mosques, market, businesses and business premises. What does this tell you? It means that such road is meant to have protective measures for citizens. I don’t want to hear anyone talk about ‘unity’ here because that nonsense unity has failed us over and over again. There are no single road measures to help slow down over-speeding drivers. For such road in such environment where kids even had to cross the road often, there should have been measures applied during or after road construction to force drivers to slow down. It could have been easy to create over-head bridge. Well, these things are scarce in Nigeria and people keep dying as a result of things that could have been avoided. This is why we celebrate governors and presidents for constructing roads, over-head bright, street lights, schools, etc, because we are not used to good leadership. It’s mediocre celebrating these things at this current age.
Another event that led to his death was that for over 2 hours, there was no emergency service for the unfortunate man! No road safety, no police, no military health service, etc. People just gathered around him until he died! Worst part was that I was told that someone among the crowd stole the man’s phone when he died!
Do you blame people who kept looking at him until he died? Where would they have gotten working emergency service around? I watched how emergency service works in Sweden late last year as a TV documentary and I was amazed! My people, we are suffering in Nigeria o! We are missing out on so many things. What is our problem as a country? This is why I get so pissed when someone talks about ‘unity’ or bash people agitating for a separate state.
You see, if you have not given me reasons to live with you, why would you want me to live with you? The current state of Nigeria now is similar to a domestic violent marriage where people expect the victim, especially the woman to endure until only God knows when.
As a young man in my mid 20s, I strongly believe that only a political criminal and a mad man would support the current ‘unity of Nigeria’.
Do you know how cheap life has become in Nigeria? Who made us to accept this common and cheap life? Who made us believe that we are used to hardship? Why have we accepted suffer-head as a way of life? Look at federal govt jobs, look at how nepotism has killed that sector! You may find it so hard to get any reasonable thing in Nigeria if you're not highly connected. People become jobless for many years and live a life below average. Millions who are working are underpaid. Who has made us believe that we should manage these things? Who told us that these hard life is part of what makes us Nigerians?
When police eventually came around the scene, they didn’t know what to do. They were even asking us of the where about of Nigeria Road Safety. This unfortunate dead body was there for another 50 minutes plus before they asked the crowd to put his dead body inside their van.
You are a fool if you support the current happenings in Nigeria. We need to wake up and understand that we deserve so much as citizens of this country. We need to understand that hardship is not our birth right. Our hospitals are now death zone.
A man needed surgery but the doctor refused to perform the surgery and demanded for full payment before he could commence the emergency surgery!! The family members begged him to begin the treatment but he refused. They rushed out to look for money to pay for the surgery and paid the money to the doctor’s provided account number. When they got back to the hospital, doctor said credit alert first before treatment!!! They begged and waited before the doctor got the alert. Unfortunately, the man the doctor was to treat died!!! This happened two weeks ago in PH.
The unfortunate situation in Nigeria has made many people wicked. People pray and fast for cars, houses, jobs, admission, etc. These are basic things that you don’t need to kill your self to have. Young people in South Korea have these things early in their life journey.
In Nigeria, people suffer till they die and you have the mouth and shame to bash people agitating for a separate country. Don’t allow politicians to deceive you; you deserve more as a citizen. The current unity only favours the political class and parasites found around political class.
How much can an average Nigeria afford? What is the standard of life of an average Nigerian? My South African citizen friend recently showed me her house. She rented the house. This is the quality of house average Nigerian should live in. She is an average citizen. No degree yet but earns well as a staff of a firm in South Africa because minimum wage is friendly.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! My fellow youths, we need to wake up. Stop falling to the sentiments these heartless leaders have used to cage us for many years for years. We need to stand up and demand for a restructured Nigeria. We need to say enough is enough. We need to demand for a better constitution. We don’t need to bash people who can’t endure the pains anymore after 50 years of independence. For your information, these political class have their kids and future generations already secured. Tell me why Indians, Chinese, Lebanese etc are using our graduates, impregnating our ladies and over-working our citizens and pay them peanuts? Tell me why a graduate should earn 50k per month and work more than 10 hours per day? Tell me why our minimum wage is 18k? These things are features of a country that has failed her citizens and some Nairalanders are busy praising and supporting this same formation. If we don't demand for a better constitution and a restructured Nigeria, we will never get it. Get up, tweet, use youtube, use nairaland, use facebook, use blogs, etc...enough is enough. We need o cry out to the rest of world. We need to make people know that we are tired. These leaders need to restructure this country to work better. We cant continue like this. You don't need to work and kill your self to be able to afford basic things of life. We need a country where electricity is fully available and cheap! We need a country where an average citizen can afford good things and live in good apartment.
How can they give us poor universities and send their kids abroad to earn education from leaders who gave their citizens the best? How can they give us poor healthcare system and use government fund and loot to travel out of the country for medical checkup and care? These last statements are what I want you to think about before commenting.

Is there anyone who can move this to front page? We need our youths to begin talking about our issues.

I hope his kinsmen will not retaliate oo, cos e go bloody
He wasn't killed becus he is Hausa.. People have been killed for stealing phones and even food..

There is nothing going to be bloddy any where.. This action just goes to show that Nigeria is actually a zoo.. Let's be realistic and honest.. Nigeria is a zoo.. This is lawlessness at its peack..

What happened close to my place today made me to know that Nigeria is actually a zoo as claimed by Kanu..

Just see how this man died ...just the way an innocent man died too today close to where I live..

No one should abuse Kanu again.. If u want to abuse him, pls make sure this country is already too fine and fixed..

Good for him..

I wonder how he sleeps at night knowing fully well that they acted foolishly causing death of millions from his side.

Let's join hands to make Naija great again
Was Nigeria ever great?

When will u ever know that Nigeria can never be great as long as three powerful ethnic groups share powers in the same country?

When? I have seen many Nigerian retired soildiers who fought for the Nigerian govt abandoned.. I grew up in the barracks bro in the western part of Nigeria.. I see men forgotten after suffering for Nigeria..

In the case of Biafra one can even say they lacked the finance to even take care of their sons who fought for them but that can't be said about Nigeria with all the money..

Pls this current political structure is not paying the ordinary citizens..

Pls take a tour to military and police barracks and go with photos.. Nigeria has never been great.. I don't like when someone makes that comment except u are related to poilicians or u are a politician..

Three camptains can't stair a ship at the same time..

If we don't tell our selves the truth, I fear for the future generation.. I will work so hard to ensure my kids get citizenship cards of other advanced countries.. Nigeria is not safe..
Nigeria has not learnt from history.. Things we fought over are still the order of the day..

Take ur time and read various military coup speech in nigeria in the past and u will see same things they complained about are still happening till date..

For our own good, let's forget about a politically united Nigeria and allow each regions to manage their own economy and political depositions as they like.. That is the only way to go.. And this can only be possible if we can stop hating on the people who took the giant step to fight for a freedom..

If u are not ashamed of Nigeria as it is after 50 years, pls I am ashamed..

I do freelancing and earn such cash there.. But it will be nice if I get to learn other means to earn online. I do web design and article writing online and that is time consuming. Anyone willing to teach me, I am willing to learn and play along.
Thanks.

Lmao,
I partially agree with the logic, though as someone already said above not all "broke" men are bad.
I think the OP is just saying Men should first focus of being successful, at least try your best to be financially independent before starting a relationship.

Women will always be available, we ain't running out anytime soon, so hustle hard and compensate yourself with a fine lady.

There are many guys out there, very lazy, that are more focused on ladies than their future. Its all about priorities, strive to succeed, then get a lady.
Eyaa see wetin Niaja economic situation has caused ...

In developed countries, both men and women are financially responsible and basic things are not expensive to get..

Both men and women should be financially responsible.. My gf is a student and i have big a share in her training so far.. I am allowing her to be because she is still a student... if she graduates and cant be financially responsible for her self.. I will dump her..

Good and bad guys can be found in both classes.. rich or poor.. this type of post only make our ladies more lazy..

Be responsible and have a safe sex with someone who is has allowed you to have sex with him/her.

Enjoy ur sexual life and work hard..

Na for naija I dey hear sey a man must hustle and make money before searching for a woman..

chaii.. Most of us in Nigeria are not used to basic life o..

we are so used to hardship and economic sufferhead that if we even get 24/7 power supply in a week, we will report to NEPA by our own selves..

The only sensible response so far.. I see where you're coming from, what I meant to say was that there are countries like us with similar GDP that charge way more, an increase was inevitable and it could have been worse. Not saying it's not high

Attention w.hore! That picture has nothing to do with the topic

Back to the topic: 600N is still ok compared to what some countries charge (in some cases 3 times the amount).
Bros.. it is not okay.. these countries u are talking about are enjoying simple basic amenities of life such as electricity, good road, subsidized transport system, easy access to loans at low interest rate..healthy medical systems..

If i get to enjoy these and u ask me to pay this, I will simply pay even double..

make we no dey stupid here baba.. the way money comes into the hands of an average Nigerian is small compare to how it flies away..

By the time u earn salary, u pay for electricity u are not seeing enough of it, u buy expensive fuel, u pay for security, u pay for water, u buy foods at expensive rate..etc

Bros, remember, many Nigerians are still very very poor.. Average life in Nigeria is nothing to write home about. Look at the budget of National assembly.. That is what we should be cutting down and not increasing the pains of the average and poor masses..

If u are doing business in Nigeria and spend so much on powering your electricity, u begin to wonder how u will survive.. It is not okay bro.. the funded generated are not well used.. they are used to feed mostly these criminals called leaders.. dont support them except u benefit from them or u are one of them

everything na all about women, women, women, women.. for godsake, all humans deserve respect and we were created differently. what moves me as a man may not move a woman. If u know that which moves me, dont temper with it...if i know that which moves u, i will not tamper with it..

e be like sey una never see women wey dey craze...they will push u to ur limit. Have u ever seen a good woman before? U will understand that most of them who get beaten are the cause of their own problem. In as much as i dont support beating a woman, i strongly condemn toying wit a man's pride.. a man's pride is what moves him. If u are not willing to honor his pride, dont marry. It's not by force to marry na. U can remain single, pls. Men are semi gods. If u understand creation very well, u will understand that men are demi gods. Their pride hurt can push them beyond any reasonable thinking. Everyone is abusing this man... no worry, that u are lucky to marry a good wife or u can endure some shits doesnt make u better than him..

I dont av a heart to hit a woman, she go just die! But if my woman hurts my ego, she will leave ma life for good.

Just see the way we are using France's victory to insult our country as if we are not partly guilty for the rot in Nigeria. If a vibrant 39 year old comes out to contest for the seat of the President of Nigeria how many of us will vote for him? When it is election time the only thing we hear from our youth is 'he is Igbo, I will not vote him, she is Hausa I will not vote her'. If a 39 year old that is vibrant comes out to contest, we the youth will be the first to dismiss him/her as juvenile and we are here hailing the victory of France (as if it is ours), whilst criticising our country (as if we have not contributed to the rot). OK name me one 39 year old politician that the youths of Nigeria can rally round. Baba buhari please get well soon and come and continue ruling us til Nigerian youths acquire some sense.
Bros... u no make sense wit ur talk.. we can never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever kill tribal politics in Nigeria.. are u not seeing the truth glaring at u? We will keep fighting and voting based on ethnicity while the leaders enjoy the lucrative Naija politics...

When are will going to have sense and speak together as youths that Nigeria should be divided or structured back to regional powers?

Thank u bro for a reasonable statement... It is rare in this forum..

I belong to a security family, I know what these men pass thru.. Instead of these frustrated nairalanders to channel their anger to their senators and policians, they are doing channelling to wrong people..

The police elite team is really trying
..now that more of their units are trying to upgrade.. We can appreciate and applaud them..

If we can get our police unit right, gradually, we may stop seeing soldiers on the street as obtainable in advanced countries.. We may get there some day..

Hmm sometimes I read news and laugh.

Amosun is not a good leader and I must tell the truth, he has ego problem.

What really happened was that CBN bullion van wanted to overtake him on the express opposite Prayer city, he instructed his team not to allow then he came down, he started ranting which he eventually instructed his mobile police men to fire shots at the tires of CBN bullion van.

Mind you, this is not his first time.

A sane person will know this is a CBN bullion van convoy, as a reasonable man he's suppose to keep moving or allow them pass but not to be little himself as a governor to order his team to shoot at the tires.

Meanwhile, it's just the office he holds that made such to happen cos CBN also have over 20 mobile police men with them.

Amosun, your will full one day.

plsssss...this country is too big for us to be divided..all ethnic bigotry should stop...we are not happy seeing countless number of pages when such news is released and the funniest thing is that it always make front page...unity,peace and progress of Nigeria is our collective effort...
Im not even a fan of 'political unity' I believe strongly in restructured nigeria..a true fiscal federalism and not unitary federalism. We can still live together, laugh together as a country but with a weak central govt..

My point is.. attacking tribes in this forum is completely wrong and Seun should do something.. I mean, no nonsense policy should be enacted here against tribal bigots.. If u make any direct or indirect statement to ridicule or link any tribe to any crime, ur comment gets deleted and u get a lengthy ban.

If the owner of this forum doesnt know, the comments here are building serious hate within us. It may explode.. Seun can still get traffic and make more money without allowing tribal bigots here..

You send them your link, specify what you want with as much details as possible and you pay them with your card.
They make payment and the item(s) is sent to their own warehouse first. (you'll pay the transport cost)
Once you've sorted out your bills, you'll give them details of your preferred shipper(some good ones dey nairaland). You'd still pay for them to send it there.
Once your shipper receives your package, decide whether you want express/normal shipping and wait for your item.

This was my experience, first and only time I used them.
Will I use them again? Big No
By the time you've added their service charge and transport cost to and from their warehouse then to whoever is sending it to naija, the landing cost of your item would have increased so much.

I'm still looking for a 1688 shopper/shipper that I wouldn't have to beg with my own money kwa.

I stand with anyone who is against this failed marriage called Nigeria.. It's people like u who are making these useless politicians to ride on us..

Just for ur useless hatred for one particular tribe, u are laughing at a man who spoke his mind..

So, u are happy with the state of Nigeria after many years of independence? With all the resources we have here, this country is still like this.. it's really sad..

Forget about the messenger.. baba, the message is , we need to do something about Nigeria,,, I hope u are employed or an employer of labour and ur family is fine.. even if u av everything working for u in Nigeria, im sure u av conscience and u see many youths and lives wasting..

My brother, if u ever see what it takes to live in a good country as a citizen, u may blow up Abuja.. stop the hate.. maybe Kanu passed the message wrongly, but dont kill everything he is talking about.. he has right to seek for a better country if he feels the current country is not working for him and his followers.. u have no right to kill him for that..

Look at how cheap life is in Nigeria.. people dying everyday... is it becus ur loved one is yet to be affected.. pls, can we stop this nonsense tribal hate and understand that Nigeria will be better if end this nonsense forced marriage or change our structure of govt,,

Forget ur hate for igbos, or hausas.. or yorubas.. it's the masses who will suffer any decision made by these crazy leaders.. I hate that i share same country with someone like u who allows tribal hate to consume him or her... Nigeria is so stupid and annoying..

ur life doesnt matter here bro.. think about it..
