Grazza:You dey vex for Americans because dem no give you visa? |
If accepting $20,000 will make him unhappy and thereby affect his performance if he took the job then he is right for not taking the job. If he now accepts that job and is unable to perform, say because he is unhappy at the purported $20,000 salary, then everyone will criticize him for not performing well. |
My parents always told me to not eat the thigh of the chicken; specifically, that preference over who should eat the chicken thigh should be given to the parents. In hindsight, I believe kids should be the ones who should be given preference to eat the chicken thigh, for they need more than the adults the protein and nutrients essential for growing up. |
It is hightime Nigeria splits. I am sick of cattle herders running our country. Otisumi. |
ogugua88:I dey oooo. I just dey chill for dis Sunday. How dat Cali weather be? You are one heck of a cutie pie, with a wonderful smile. I go holla u on the email. |
Echidime:Majority of Nigerian girls do not seek a young mate with potential like Michel Obama did, for many Naija girls will date and marry an old, raggedy man who is wealthy (and who may even be married) rather than date and marry a young (and maybe an attractive) guy who has potential. With all the polygamy going on, it is unsurprising that most polygamists are wealthy, many of them with young, pretty wives. And you begin to wonder why those young girls didn't find a younger mate and build a life together. But that is Naija for you. |
ogugua, what's up? |
queeneve:Naija may not be a land of opportunities to you, the blind-sighted, but to the legions of Lebanese, Indians, and Chinese, to mention a few, many of whom have made Naija their homes and business destinations, Naija is a land flowing with milk and honey. #My people perish for lack of knowledge. # |
jpworld:You are funny. Why would someone go through this drama to get a Nigerian green card when you can probably go all out and get a Nigerian passport with one hundred Naira |
God bless this union. We need more of these unions so that they can produce mixed babies, which will add a different flavor of hopefully pretty, mixed, exotic Naija girls to the dating pool from which to choose a significant other. The current dating pool boasts an unappetizing array of Naija girls. The pretty ones are dangerously low in number. |
I guess this testifies to the fact that you can meet your future partner anywhere, whether it be on Facebook, Nairaland, Church, Mosque, on the street corner, in a strip club, in an ashy joint, etc. Love has no boundaries. |
is the poster talking about a first date or 10-yr wedding anniversary date? because if you have undergo this ceremony for a first date, if, God forbid, the relationship does not work out immediately right after the date, do you go about setting up successive dates in the same manner? |
Kehinde is probably one of those dudes who will go to Naija and toast a girl by promising to bring her to America. And for your info not every girl you meet in Naija wants to come to America, except maybe those villagers and impoverished chicks, like the girl the poster wants to marry. |
I hope Nigeria can fix her electricity problems so as to create an environment that will be conducive to business. Even if you intend on spending on $0 to start your business, you should be welcome to do so. Ghana's law shows how imprudent the administration is. So if a foreigner with great ideas, for example Indians who moved to Silicon Valley in the USA, wants to develop a promising business from scratch, that foreigner will be unable to develop his idea into a profitable business, unless of course if he coughs out $300, which is unpractical for a fledgling business. That endangers small businesses. |
Social worker in Nigeria? Y'all keep dreaming! |
Akwasi:Your inferiority complex inheres in your discussion. You seem to refer to Nigerians as "disillusioned" who are living in a "useless country" if there are no economic protectionism laws. Well, your country, wanna, has disregarded the ECOWAS treaty because of its invidious laws ostensibly created to protect Ghanaian interests. But everyone knows that the laws, as applied, unfairly targets Nigerian interests in Ghana. Nigeria has a resource that Ghana can never have--that is, it's people, which is a cause for envy. People are usually envious of another because that other person possesses what they can NEVER possess. If your country is so good, why do you guys invest a disproportionate amount of manpower talking and worrying about Nigerian issues? And remember, we Nigerians don't give a hoot about what is currently happening in Ghana. |
At least we can say Ghana, just like South Africa, has now began to embarrass Nigerians, yet our leaders will not learn that our power infrastructure needs to be fixed so we can improve our economy. When will our leaders learn? Do they have to wait for Chad, Togo, or Benin Republic to embarrass us before our leaders learn? |
A pretty woman need not wear makeup to look attractive. Another thing is that when many women regularly wear excessive makeup, to the extent that they look like a masquerade and are used to wearing makeup, the now look different without the makeup. It's not that they are ugly. |
Does he also have the world's shortest "thing thing?" If that were so, it would be a travesty. |
The CBN is releasing this story ostensibly for drawing attention to the threat of the Naira being counterfeited, but everyone in their right mind knows that the real purpose of this story is to draw attention to a Naira that is otherwise valueless. That way, the CBN, knowing they and the Naira are practically irrelevant in world markets, attempts to make themselves relevant, perhaps to the Nigerian public, by dishing out this propaganda. |
mamgee, maybe they are grabbing their hands because they are trying to holla or negotiate. At least since they are already in the market, it is a place of buying and selling, so they are trying to buy some goodies. |
Seun:While I do not quarrel with your assertion about the parties assuming responsibility for their choice in marrying someone who does not embody the traits they desire in a relationship, I believe the main issue here is the inability of a career woman to balance her professional life with her household life. I do not believe it unreasonable for a career woman to cook and clean, for she does not have to do such duties everyday. She can cook meals that will last the family for a couple of days, while she can clean on her days off. The poster, on the other hand, has expressed her unwillingness and has shown her laziness by her categorical repudiation of cleaning and cooking, attributing it to the fact that she was not raised that way. That, I despise. |
buzugee:You are right. He knew what he was getting into but married her anyway. |
to the poster, Why don't you admit that you are a LAZY wife. What if your husband also told you that he is not cut out to open doors for you; to protect you and the kids; to mow the lawn, if necessary; to change light bulbs and fixtures that need replacement; to make sure that the family is not wanting of fundamental needs like food, shelter, etc; what would you say? |
no wonder he couldn't play well during the World Cup; he was busy phucking ashawo |
maybe he is not really good enough for a big club. guys, remember that consistency is a major factor in determining whether a goalie is good, so maybe big clubs feel that he is not consistent enough. I'm just suggesting a reason. |
English is not for everybody; no be everybody go school; some people learn for village. |
So from what the comments I am reading, Stanley Okoro played, right? If so, I am glad that he has been included in the Super Eagles. As the Golden Eaglets' most workaholic player in the most recent U-17 World Cup, he deserved the promotion. |
