sandee575:dis one na por-no site or sports site? |
It is a disgrace that no website, not even a Nigerian station or website, is streaming the match online. |
honeric01:LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO! Largerbeer did not only stand up during all the matches but he also put his hands in his pocket. Still, we won not a single match. |
aisha2:How has God supplied your needs? Rubbish! So demanding a salary that would have been paid to a white man is not putting his country first? I bet all those policemen who collect money in illegal roadblocks can also make claim that God has more than supplied their needs, I guess according to his riches in glory. |
donsteady me sef need link. |
in this day and age, it is a shame that you can't find a Nigerian network broadcast online a Super Eagles' game at no cost. |
all these people watching it, yet they are too Oliver twist to supply any links? Na waa oooo |
any links? |
Not to steer away from the subject, but you would think a somewhat successful artist like Terry G will be driving a better car than an early to mid 90s Toyota Camry. The car in which he had the accident is at least fourteen years old; he has probably spent all his money on alcohol and drugs. |
I love her music, very soulful and unique. It is unlike many of these generic beats on which some wanna be Nigerian artists who are wannabe rappers rap. I admire her originality and lyrics, for her lyrics talk about many issues that plague Nigerians, Africans, and black people as a whole. |
After marriage, honeymoon usually follows. It is safe to say that the activities that go on during the honeymoon are responsible for the baby coming after 9 months of marriage. And i don't think couples marry so that they can have babies, for you need not get married in order to make babies. All you have to do is ski ski ski in that thing. |
Great job, governor. If Fashola were the one who did something similar to this, he would have been criticized by some people here for not prioritizing. |
Over the years in America, I have noticed a dangerous trend--the number of Nigerian weddings in which they serve only American or foreign food over Nigerian food have been increasing appreciably. I despise this behavior on all fronts. First, most of the time, this menu choice does not cater to the taste of an overwhelming number of Nigerian attendees, many of whom are the majority and do not expect to eat foreign food at a Nigerian wedding. Second, it may indicate that the bride or groom has inferiority complex, for they think that serving Nigerian food somehow contaminates the Eurocentric ambience they intend to create in their reception. Third, many foreign weddings, for example when a Chinese groom weds a Chinese bride, do not serve Nigerian food, so why on God's green earth do these Nigerians serve food from other cultures to the exclusion of our indigenous food? Worse still, in many of the engagement ceremonies, which is supposed to be traditional to say the least, I have also seen American food being served without any Nigerian food, and I think it is a shame that a traditional engagement ceremony features no traditional food. In one of such weddings that I attended, I asked the bride why they did not serve Nigerian food, and she said, "I do not want people to use their hands to eat at my reception; I don't have time for all that barbaric way of eating." The bride actually did say that using your hands to eat, say pounded yam and egusi soup, is actually "barbaric," and she apparently did not want to contaminate the aesthetics and ambience of her reception with such behavior. Shame shame. While it is undeniable that the bride or groom possesses the right to decide the menu that will be served in their wedding, it is important that they cater to their attendees, especially the friends of their parents, many of whom are old school and do not particularly prefer foreign foods over Nigerian foods. It seems that the bride or groom forget sometimes that the essence of serving food in a wedding is to feed the attendees, so it is unreasonable to serve food that the attendees do not care for as much. Even non-Nigerian guests who attend Nigerian weddings have a reasonable expectation that Nigerian food will be served at such wedding, and it would be a wonderful opportunity for that bride or groom to showcase our culture to those foreigners. With all these behaviors, no wonder Nigerian food is not mainstream. |
liedetect, are you a lesbian? your support for a woman to have masculine figures makes me believe you are a lesbo! which black girl on earth (besides ones who envy the endowed women) prays to have no hips and a flat behind, essentially you are praying for masculine features. |
It is sad when Naija girls have to resort to using pictures of girls from other countries for Nigerian girls. I guess it is difficult to find a picture of a Nigerian girl who is beautiful from head to toe. |
What's the deal with Naija girls and wowoness--they seem to go hand in hand. In Naija, the norm is that girls are wowo, and every non wowo girl is the exception. I shall say the truth, and I hope it shall set me free. This wowo miss Nigeria represents the typical Naija chick, and I can't understand what the negative sentiment is? Do you want them to go and rent a girl from South Africa and present her as a Naija girl? They have to pick Miss Nigeria from an abundant pool of Naija girls, majority of whom are wowo, so it only follows that there is substantial probability that the girl chosen to represent Naija will be wowo, just as you can see in Miss Nigeria. Again, I am not saying all Naija girls are wowo, as in they have wowo faces and hipless assless bodies, but that it is rare to see a pretty, alluring Naija girl who has hips and bakassi and a pretty face. If wowo chicks are not the norm, then why on earth will that wowo chick represent an entire country? |
I send my applauds to the students who threatened the proposed IBB event. I hope they burn him and the cars in his entourage wherever he goes. |
Congratulations and way to go, girls. Now that they lost to Germany, no one is making comments that they are over age, but had they won, these thread would probably be replete with comments saying the girls are over age. Our girls are too much. It is not easy advancing to the finals of any competition. |
which size did you buy? for the guy to say have fun tonight, it must have been the extra grande size |
eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Puvguy:LMAO, my bad. I am not Ibo but, as you can see, I got my mind on my money. Please forgive me, Nigeria's population na 150 million compared to Ghana's 23 million. |
Ghanaians are obviously jealous of Nigerians. I applaud whomever retaliated against by Ghana by imposing a fee on foreign actors, for it will truly show which country is dominant in the African movie industry. First, Nigeria has a population of over $150 million compared to Ghana's $23 million. Common sense shows that we have the more lucrative market. |
Sagamite No one here has any empirical evidence showing that these girls are truly overage or underage. That being said, it is unfair to conclude, based on anecdotal evidence, that the girls are overage. It is also undisputed that poor economic conditions amid poverty usually ages our girls faster than their foreign counterparts, and, as such, they have a tendency to appear older than they really are. Bottom line, I would avoid speaking in the affirmative without credible evidence, for if USA had defeated the girls (like they normally do), we most likely will not be having these conversation. |
I thought FIFA now mandates that the players pass an MRI test before participating in the tournament. So if our girls passed the same MRI test required of other players from other teams, who are we, just by looking at the Falconets' team picture taken on the field and comparing it to other team pictures, to conclude that our girls are over the age limit? |
Congratulations to my lovely Falconets for a deserving victory over the defending champions. Even though someone wanted to prevent your glory from shining a couple of weeks ago, the almighty God intervened and made it possible for you all to participate in this tournament and make us proud. Thank you very much. To all the flip floppers who, just a couple of weeks ago, supported the withdrawal of our Falconets but who are now celebrating your victory, I hope the Falconets can find it in their hearts to forgive those flip floppers. That's all folks. A wise man thinks before he leaps. Go to the ant oh ye sluggard, consider her ways, and be wise. |
homerac7:Mechanization my behind, like that same mechanization is so clandestine that it is unavailable to local farmers. The same resources and mechanization available to the white farmers are available to local farmers, but first, many locals don't want to farm, for they think farming is not profitable. Second, even if the locals decide to farm, many local farmers have a get rich quick mentality and a lazy attitude rather than being patient. Mental laziness is another factor. |
buzugee:God Bless you. If we had more people with your kind of mentality, Nigeria will be in a better place. Some people are even too scared to call Obasanjo the thief and slowpoke he is for stealing billions of dollars that was supposedly earmarked for fixing our electricity problems. Babangida, same thing--he is now running for a second term because he knows people will "respect" him and not lambast him for looting our national treasury. President or no president, every citizen has a right to criticize and call our presidents out for engaging in culpable acts. |
ololo12:Sharap! I am not fearful like you, and I have not been brainwashed like you. |
JIY:Don't you understand English? I guess that is a sign you have nothing to say. |
JIY:so what is wrong with calling someone who displays the above characteristics a fool? And explain to me how it is abusive? |
JIY:Do yourself a favor and remain in your village. When did "foolish" become foul and abusive language? So according to you, the Bible is replete with foul and abusive language! Even so, freedom of speech includes the freedom to use abusive language, as long as the language is not racist, is not hateful, is truthful, or is not meant to incite violence or a riot. Your mentality is typical of many Nigerians, so when, for example, a person like you becomes president you will have an Abacha-like behavior--that is, to silence anyone who calls you names you deem abusive, such as calling you a fool. Again, according to you, if the president steals our money and makes silly, rash decisions, I should not have the freedom to call him a silly thief. Get a life! I am beginning to accept that Nigeria's problems are its people, and that is why lack of freedom and corruption abound everywhere. And also that is the same Nigerian mentality that asks young people to keep quiet and not voice their opinion when their elders are around, even if that opinion were valuable. Furthermore, that is the same mentality that says young people cannot become business executives even if they have the talent to do so because it is disrespectful to "boss" around their elders. Facebook, Microsoft, among others, were all started and ran by young people because the culture embraced young minds, even though those young people "bossed" around older people. By the way, to all the people attacking me for using the word "fool," can you all define fool? |
KMVBO:If you go to civilized and democratic societies, it is acceptable for people to call their presidents names that reflect the president's actions, as long as it is not racist and is said at the appropriate time. I don't see anything disrespectful in calling the president foolish, for he acted unwise. And biblically, he acted like a fool. It is called free speech, and I understand why some of you will understand the concept of free speech; because your freedom to speak has been restrained for so long, you have now acquiesced into believing that truthful criticism is unwarranted, to the extent that you are telling me that it is disrespectful to call Jonathan a fool on Nairaland. Look at the success of our lovely girls at the U-20 stage, defeating the USA today. Jonathan wanted to deprive those girls of these moment because of Yakubu and Kaita! |
