A young Nigerian lady and a Twitter user identified as Missy @chibelb has taken to the micro-blogging platform to share a story of how armed men storm a church in Imo state and how a man was kidnapped.

According to her, during mass today at St. Camillus Catholic Church, Imo State armed men stormed the church, opened fire and kidnapped a man making her to relive her worst moment as her father too was once kidnapped and killed.

Here’s all the excitement you and your children missed at the first ever Nickfest 2017 in Nigeria

There was so much excitement over the weekend at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos as more than 4,000 children and their parents attended Nickelodeon’s NickFest. The event, which was made possible courtesy of popular family entertainment TV channel, Nickelodeon, saw the venue transformed into a massive kiddies’ wonderland with amazing toys, fun games, and loads of sparkling bright colors.

The hosts for the day, radio and TV personality, Ik and child-comedienne, Emmanuella kept the mood alive with their effervescent presence.

The fun celebrity Slime challenge, a favourite section at the festival which saw MTV Base’ Samantha Walsh and Ehiz get drenched with the gooey green Slime. They sure didn’t take it as well as the younger ones who loved prancing around in the gooey green liquid pool.

The highlight of the festival, especially for children came in the form of the arrival of the incredible Nickelodeon character shows, Shimmer and Shine, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol, who entertained both children and parents with their amazing performances.

The excitement continued as festival attendees enjoyed the presence of two of their favourite celebrities, Simi and Yemi Alade who had the entire hall, including parents and guardians, screaming in excitement as they performed their selection of family-friendly songs.

The beautiful Yemi Alade, illbliss, Chioma Akpotha, Mr P, IK Osakioduwa, Emmanuella of Mark angel comedy, Alex Okosi and his son, AJ also got Slimed, to the delight of the children and everyone else present. In all, it was a day well-enjoyed.

A young Nigerian lady and a Facebook user identified as Ogechi Stella Njoku has taken to her Facebook timeline to share her rape story when she was still a teenage.

According to the lady, she was deflowered at the age of 16years through rape and was raped twice.

"I have not been outspoken on my rape experiences, I decided not to write or emphasize much on it and about it, because the pains is more excruciating than the pains of being HIV positive.

But going by the actions of the so called comedian #Stainless Precious making fun of rape and justifying his actions as an act of comedy, I strongly believe it is hightime we held these peadractors responsible for rape.

Today I am HIV positive, without knowing how I got it, and here you are making bold to justify using rape as a comedy.

How would you feel if your sister is raped?
How would you feel, if your daughter is raped?
How would you feel to have your wife raped?

How dare you justify rape into comedy?

And one man would come up to make rape a fun for comedy and people preach forgiveness?

#The whole scenario came playing back on my head, I could hear my tiny voice shouting for help, I could feel afresh, those grasp for breathe, I could see clearly now these four men, their faces, the cigarette smokes, the odour, the way my hands were held against my will, by these four men who were bigger than me, who were supposed to protect a minor, I could remember how they lure me in pretense to buy my product, I could hear that shout of the name of my product that led me to Ekeonuwa market, I wish I never heard them calling for my product, I wish I had finished sales earlier that day. I wish the dawn never break up for that day.

They betrayed an innocent trust from a minor, who saw them as a potential customers.
Joyfully went to sell to them, but came out in pains and tears.

According to mirror.co.uk Mexican nurse, Yazmin Dominguez, had just said her vows when she was alerted to an urgent medical problem with one of her patients, Daily Mirror reports.

She made her excuses to her new husband and guests and rushed to the patient’s bedside. Mrs Dominguez was pictured still in her wedding dress, giving her patient an injection.

A South African lady's tweet is trending and it's not hard to see why she's begging social media users to borrow her a baby so as to impress a guy she met recently.

According to Noluthando Zuma, she met a guy who was with a child so she told him she has a son who's about the same age. Problem is, the man has now invited her and her imaginary son for a birthday party and there's no son for her to go with.

She's asking Twitter users who have a 2-year-old son to spare to come to her rescue.

What's even funnier is the replies she got. Some mother asked her how much she was willing to pay and some went as far as posting photos of the child they were willing to lend her. It's obvious it's a joke but it's still funny.

Segun Wire became popular on Social Media after a viral video where he said he wants to become a “Yahoo Boy” when he grows up went viral on Social Media.

Segun who was begging on the streets was then interviewed on the streets, and the video became an instant hit.

An Instagram page @Segun_wire was immediately opened for the young boy, followed by some videos of him doing comedy skits on the page.

Pictures of Segun looking good, in expensive cars, clothes, haircut were also shared on the page, which led many to believe Segun is living well..

A picture of Segun in school uniform came online, with reports claiming he started school…

Now, a social media user, oreinlofty, who stumbled on Segun on the streets begging again, has called out Segun’s purported benefactor, Zlatan, for using the boy just to make money, and abandoning him back to the streets.

A Nigerian guy has asked in a controversial post why women should study courses like law, pharmacy and medicine, “the truth remains that female education ends in the kitchen”.

Identified as Cleo La Coll on Facebook, he shared the post on a public group, but it’s obvious he did it to get attention.

The original poster is Clifford Chima Odo, an undergraduate of University of Nigeria with very bad command of the English language, but he immediately deleted the post after people called him out. Cleo then proceeded to share the post.

In the post, he went on to say that only male applicants should be allowed into universities while females should study in college of education and polytechnics.

Here’s what he wrote:
"I cease to understand the main reason why some girls do study high courses like Law, Medicine, Pharmacy.. etc..

Why are you occupying spaces for innocent young boys like us who need those courses more than as you do?? I don’t know the reasons why they allow girls to study in universities..

University is for male while Polytechnics and College of Education is for females.. Or if you deem it too important you go for educational courses in University not those high courses. Even f you graduate from medicine or law you wouldn’t practice it…. The ugly truth remains that Female education ends in the kitchen.
