PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Economy May Out Grow South Africa's Economy By 2012 - Sanusi by ProAnti: 5:00pm On Oct 28, 2009
shawn123:
Now back to the post, what the hell does he mean by he is the cbn governor and he deserves some respecthuhhuh Can someone please tell this cbn governor that we respect is earned and not deservedhuh? Also Nigeria's economy should not be compared to that of South Africa, we should be struggling to get to Ghana's level (sadly) before mentioning that of South Africa.
Its only sit-at-home Nigerians like you that believe all they see on the internet.

Sanusi only said that Nigeri'a economy can be bigger than that of South Africa. He said nothing about the standard of living neither did he talk about power generation. I completely agree with Sanusi - Infact Nigeria's economy can be bigger than the economies of all the nations in Southern Africa if we implement our many good policies and reduce corruption.
And by the way, I dont think Ghana's economy is bigger than that of Lagos.

tpia is probably Gov Saraki's relative. I dont understand why some people cannot stomach the truth especially when it has something to do with their ethnic group.

They have been compared because some want them to be compared as they do not know anything out of the little world they live in. BTW how is Port Harcourt a 'one-road city'? And what does that even mean?
Aba road. From Abali park to Eleme junction.
PoliticsRe: Useless Journalism In Nigeria (Name and Shame) by ProAnti: 3:54pm On Oct 28, 2009
I am more interested in the headlines of Nigeria's online newspapers cos the journalist dont do enough investigation before going to press.

The only thing they know how to do is issue sponsored press release as if its their own work AND condemning PDP as though they were the origin of corruption.

Did I ever say there are no Yorubas in the east?. I only said there are more igbos in the west than Yorubas in the east because of the lagos factor and for the fact that igbos are natural migrants. Even the aro tribe among the igbos were migrants before Adam and thats why they have a clan across igboland. Go and read the story of Omenuko.
huh huh
Am I communicating with a historian?
PoliticsRe: Why Does The Rail Modernisation Project Exclude The South-East And The South-South? by ProAnti: 3:10pm On Oct 28, 2009
sjeezy8:
Maybe you should think before you type. The governments of eastern and southern states should build their OWN railways MEANING privately funded. Private investors as Lagos state did.
The railway modernisation being proposed would be funded (or at least partly funded) by the FG. I think it makes economic sense to include the railline that leads to Enugu and PHC in the first phase as PHC is the capital of Nigeria's oil wealth.
However, starting with the Kano-Lagos rail is OK

I am highly disappointed. I was hoping to see a statement of real marginalisation. Haba!

@Poster,
Stop inciting ethnicity and hatred. Does our constitution support the use of state funds for religous trips?

@tpia, aloy_emeka

There are lots of Yorubas in the east, just as we have lots of Igbos in the north.

becomrich,:
mekuslogan, he is not yoruba.

And When i tell people my age, they sometime do not believe me. And I am telling them the truth.
his age may not be what he is claiming.

You sometime can not tell a person age by thier looks. even with valid document i still get the same treatment. And I can tell you, I am telling them the truth.

This is a problem we have. I went someone today and the lady I was dealing with ask me from where I was from. I refused to tell her, I told her anywhere she want me to be, even when she knows in the situation we were in, she was not allowed under law to ask me sure a question. I could see the look on her face and she refuse to grant me what i went for, she lied. I had a devices on me. I do not hold it against her, because i do not know where she is coming from or what she had experience in the past.

I did not want to tell her, I am nigerian, because I know it was going to read a negative sign from her and I did predict her altitude would be the same. When people ask if we are nigerian, we keep quiet , so that you dont get judge negatively.

What other countries do not know is getting nigeria document is very difficult, you have to bribe and do some nonsense to get it. look at the so call e passport of nigeria govt, it is piece of nonsense , i would say, I can process the document fast than what the ministry of external affair is doing online. And the way the embassy treat people in Africa to be honest with you, african do not like it.

This is why they use false document. Even if you have more than $1,000,000 cash , some embassy in africa would treat you like dirty.

Look every year, more than 800,000 student finish high school. And the nigeria universities system can only hold may be 150,000. And britain take 10,000 of those student. So the rest. More than 1,000,000 student write the universities entrance exam.

650,000 student have to look for any means to get education. even if it means using fake document. Britian and other , should see it as means of making revenue from this student , rather than the other way.

If the embassy can have a better system of judgement and treat people well. may be they would stop.

If you look at the 10,000 student britain get a year, at an average of 20,000 a year. It generate 200 million pound for the economy. They should look at the money to be made if they had a better system.

The issue also is some embassy in africa run visa scam. They make visa fee thier source of income.

Even for african with dual citizen in africa, they get treated like shit in africa. And even with thier dual citizen they get treated like second class citizen.

As long as the embassy in africa continue this way, the people would never stop using fake document. If when we present real document , they tell us , it is fake. And when a others people of different background present the same document to the embassy, they collect it. It is an issue of double standard.

Where is the racism in what I said? All I said was it's only in Yorubaland that you can find an unprecedented judgement like this. Or tell me, is Alamasighia not being worshiped as hero or giving heroic welcome after absconding justice for money laundering in the UK? Can any judge dare convict a northern looter? Is Orji Kalu not untouchable in the east despite the doziers that Ribadu had on him?
Can you make up your mind? Has it got something to do with tribe and ethnicity in a multination, multi-tribe country like Nigeria or it's just our slavery mentality? (Slavery after how many years?) Obama just warned you guys to just forget about 19th centuary events and move on with your own idea/mentality.
If not for freedom of speech, OPC man ought to be tied to the stake and shot. grin

I've said it before that, 'Yoruba is the most revolutionary and progressive people/nation in Nigeria'. If we Yoruba have had our own regional government (not this amulumala/bastard federal nonsense) we Yoruba would have been the apple of black peoples eyes all over the world.
Tell me, where in Nigeria would a fearless and courageous judgement like this be given on those who see themselves as demi-gods?

Give us regional government (like in our old western region- where we had first television station even before Spain in Europe) all those bloody nationalists and shameless political jobbers who followed Igbochukwu Obasanjo to PDP to detract Yoruba culture and values would be stripped naked of their ego and push in the sea or be sent back to Enugu, Portharcourt, Kano or Abuja

FOX news has been very critical of the Obama administration. One of the commentators went as far as calling Obama anti-white.
The Obama spokesperson replied by calling FOX news the publicity arm of the republican party. They didnt talk about closing down the station.
That is democracy at work.

AIT is a private entity duly registered under the companies and allied matters act (CAMA) 1990.
If the FG feels aggrieved about their mode of operation, the best they can do is sue the company and not threaten to shut down the station. We are in a democracy and every body has the right to utter any word- good or bad, right or wrong, misleading or informing.
