Abeg una with the name of all una believe in. Nobody should think of dying for 9ja. We can change things without dying. |
Magun at work! ![]() |
6000MW by year end 2009. 11000MW by year end 2010. 100000MW by 2020. U'll be so shocked!! ![]() |
No matter how much we hate our government, Nigeria will forever remain our home. Lets not collude with foreigners who see only the negative things coming out of Nigeria. No country is free. No nation is pure. Enuff of the never ending complaints. Lets rebrand Nigeria in our own little way. |
convicted on seven counts for 2 years each. Convicted on 28 counts for 6 months each. Sentence to run concurrently. This is equal to convicted on one count for 2 years. Mathematically, Sentence = (7 X 2years) + (28 X 0.5years) Therefore Sentence = 2years However, considering the time already spent in EFCC custody the sentence might actually be shorter. Hence, Sentence = (2 - pdp) years Where pdp is the number of years the government would decide to let go. |
The girl's name is Adeoti Ogunsola. The mother's name is Clementina Ogunsola. Clementina's two brothers were killed. A 35 year old woman can give birth to a 10 year old. Nairalanders should stop this kind of useless arguments. The mother does not want to come back to Nigeria, so it is natural for the girl to say the same thing. The mother has a reason- the death of her brothers. The girl's reason is simply her mothers reasons and not the epileptic power situation or our bad government. What am I saying? ![]() |
Sentenced for 2 years on different counts. The sentences will run concurrently. I guess this was the same style used in freeing Alams. The next thing they will say is that he has been in custody for 22 months so he can go home in two months. |
The right thing should not be done in the wrong manner. Good communication and presentation skills is a prerequisite for any intending business leader. Sanusi made the wrong statement. He is angry but he shouldnt let his anger becloud his judgement and affect his utterances. |

Fashola is doing very well. The truth is Fashola can do better. We are praising him cos majority of highly educated nairalanders reside in Lagos. |
The solution lies with the people of Anambra. I really believe Anambra can shock d world. |
Gold-mind:God forbid! Nigeria will not crumble. |
babapupa:I cant believe you are this shallow-minded. Can you remember Peter Odili was named the best performing governor during his first term. Press men from all the Major newspapers went round, took photographs of his projects and voted him the golden governor. Everybody knows Odili did little for Rivers State. So, stop believing published articles especially governmnent magazines. Believe only when u see with your eyes or some1 u really trust attest. |
babapupa:Read before replying. Everybody in the world knows Fashola is doing great. I am a Lagosian so I can testify to that. All I said was that Everything we regard as an accomplishment is relative. U hv concluded I'm from the Niger Delta. Na wa for You oh! |
If it is the NDDC states, then fmr Gov. Agagu, Gov. Mimiko, Gov. Ohakim and Gov. Orji should be ready to respond to Bankole. |
Kobojunkie:Dont get it wrong. I've always asked myself what people refer to as the Niger Delta. I really dont know if it is the NDDC states or the geographical Niger delta that people always refer to. |
udezue:Yet to meet the right southern girl. Yet to meet the girl that can make me think less about Halima. Anyway, thanks for the advice. |
Kobojunkie:Yeah! I've plucked that nerve! How do you define the NIGER DELTA? Which are the Niger Delta state? Kobojunkie, I'm waiting |
Where is that? The moon? |
Anambra has the highest concentration of entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Anambra has some of the most educated men in Nigeria. Anambra has the highest number of young millionaires in Nigeria. Tell me: Why wont they continually have big problems? U know how difficult it is to rule the educated and the rich. You must be extra good to impress them |
PapaBrowne:For your mind |
Kobojunkie:The point is: NO STATE IS FREE OF CORRUPTION. Yes, the Niger Delta governors can do better but pple like Bankole should stop throwing stones. Leave the stones for the masses. Mr Kobojunkie, WHY DO U HATE NIGER DELTANS? Are sure u r a Nigerian? |
agitator:This post is from an obviously disgruntled youth who could not get a job cos he isnt connected. The guy does not even believe in merit. On the highlighted parts. I served in Katsina State. I served in a local government secretariat and I can tell you that all the FG allocation goes into the pockets of the local government chairman and his cohorts. They dont come to work at all. You only see the workers when it is payday. All the chairman does is build mosques and renovate structurea. What is left of the over 70million naira monthly allocation goes to , |
Before we draw conclusions we should have adequate statistics to back our position. Agreed. Fashola is doing well but that doesnt mean other state governors aint performing. Lagos state - from Ikeja to Surulere, Obalende to Ajah- is one stretch of development. This stretch was not developed by the indigenous Lagosians. Lagos was the federal capital, therefore most of the infrastructural developments were carried out by the FG and the FG is not a single individual or tribe. What Fashola is doing is renovations, repairs and refurbishments. Most of the ND governors are starting from scratch so we may not appreciate what they are doing. Imagine a state like Niger that is more than 10 times the size of Lagos. Visitors would probably just visit only Minna the state capital. If they judge the governor based on what they see in Minna, they will be utterly wrong as Minna is only a small part of the state. What can the people of Epe, Olodi-Apapa, Ojodu-Berger and Badagry say about Fashola? |
The only girl I almost told the ILY word is someone I'm not allowed to marry. So many girls have used told me that word but I cant really respond to it I fear commitment. I fear heartbreak. I dont want to deceive any1 and I dont want to be deceived. Michelin89, U aint no bitch. People are different. Ur type will give their spouses the unmeasurable love without saying it. Actions speak louder than voice. |
mikeansy:I'm ready to marry her. I've got a lot of female friends but my heart isnt with them. |
During my service, I met this pretty Hausa girl and we struck an uncommon friendship. She was so nice and open and had lots of very friendly siblings. I met the mum, who was equally nice, and also the dad. The family was an educated bunch. We fell in love, but as an apostle of d fight against pre-marital sex, we didnt hv sex. I finished my service and got an O&G job. We eventually discussed marriage but the response wasnt so nice. She was ready to do anything for me but told me her Family would never support her marrying a Christain especially a southern one. I did all I could to convince her parents all to no avail. Right now I'm all alone still praying for the parents to change their mind. Please somebody, join me in prayers. |
@Kobojunkie When was the last time you visited a Niger Delta State? Some of the governors are working. The only problem is, unlike Lagos, development is not concentrated in one particular area. The smallest Niger Delta state has at least 4 times more landmass than Lagos. Not so sure though. If you live in the Badagry or Epe axis of Lagos state you wont praise Fashola. |
@Beaf You like beefing everybody who says anything against the Niger Delta. That is not how to face issues. @Topic Bankole made a point but he leads one of the groups that is Nigeria's biggest problem. He constituted a power probe committee only to back down when some powerful forces did some behind-the-scene abracadabra. He is advising the people of the Niger delta to hold their leaders accountable. How many times in our history as a nation hv d people been able to hold their leaders accountable? How many people can protest against the government without the police forcefully dispersing them? Why grant the so-called corrupt ND governors immunity while serving and protect them with court injunctions and supposed rule of law when they are out of office? How many corrupt federal government officials have the house of rep under Bankole been able to investigate, indict and push for their prosecution? Bankole is only playing politics. Politicians will always come out to garner support by way of pretending to say the truth. Bankole referred to Lagos as an example of a state with good governance. Why didnt he refer to any PDP governed state. Same Bankole will lead the PDP campaign train to attempt to rig the performing Lagos state governor out of office come 2011. Who is deceving who? According to diplomatiq OPJ of Wazobia FM, Who be FOOL? |
QUESTIONS FOR ALL NAIRALANDERS How many people have been arrested for illegal mining in Jos? How many people have been arrested for harvesting Cocoa in the West? How many people have been arrested for dredging sand from the coast of Apapa and other riverine areas of Lagos? How many people have been arrested for harvesting groundnut and using clay from their communities to build their houses in Northern Nigeria? How many people have been arrested for collecting crude from pipelines in the Niger Delta? |
Forget Gbomo Jomo. Forget MEND. Infact, who is MEND? MEND is a coalition of Nigerians who are fighting against Oil bunkering by the federal government and multinationals. MEND is a group of Nigerians who are into the lucrative oil bunkering business but wont be allowed cos some bigger thiefs dont feel safe. The bigger thieves feel the little change trickling into the pockets of these small thieves would make the smaller thieves too powerful to control thus they are using instruments of state (cos they are the men in power, OR the men behind the men in power) to frustrate the smaller thieves. They have branded them terrorist. The smaller thieves, seeing that their illegal source of livelihood have been blocked, decided to take up arms against the bigger thief (FG and cronnies). |
