I am with Beaf on this. We need to chart a new course of development on Nairaland. Nairaland's politics section should not only be a place where political events are analysed, It should be a place where great minds come together to create and develop a political philosophy that would endear the rest of the online world to it. |
626 billion Naira That is over 4 billion dollarsWhere are the compilers of the FORBES list? |
Labour issues ultimatums before embarking on strike. What are our senators planning? Our honourable senators may be angry because the new developments mean they will be searched pat-down. The bigger implication is that they can no longer launder money to the US. However, the US pronouncement is too harsh on Nigeria. UK and Spain have confirmed terrorists; why werent they placed on the list? |
na.com2:I see neither Jealousy nor envy. All I see is some sane, analytical and rational minds asking the right questions and attempting to point the arrow in the right direction. The young chap did not break any IT record. The journalist is just being sensational. |
Nigerian senate that cant even talk to the Nigerian president is threatening to severe ties with an imaginary enemy!! Mschewwwwww! Abeg tell me another story. |
His case is BECOMing WORSE. Someone should please so something about BECOMrich. |
A president calling his people has become a news item. What a shame!!! The demonic hands that have been holding Nigeria hostage will soon go limp. |
The cost of a private jet can be more than the cost of 50 houses anywhere in the world. It all depends on the type of house. I know a man in Iyana Ipaja who owns two houses in Dubai. I believe the Ibrus are wealthy enough to own a hundred houses in Dubai. Farida Waziri and Sanusi Lamido should stop running to the press whenever any discovery is made. They should wait for conclusive facts before talking. I really dont want to believe they are just desperate to prove themselves right. |
The dimunitive forwards stands tall in the midst of other soccer giants: C. Ronaldo, Xavi, Kaka and Iniesta. This is no mean achievement for a 22 year old. |
It is Official. The dimunitive Lionel Messi wins the gigantic award, the World footballer of the year 2009. Congrats Lionel! |
How did this get to the frontpage. Nairaland is moving in the same direction as Nigeria. |
Becommrich or Becomerich is such a funny dude! He really sees this as an avenue to actualise his dream of becoming rich by becoming the president of Nigeria even though he professes unflinching loyalty to Benin Republic. He went as far as trying to discredit Seun by posting a meassage he got in september. Na wa oh! |
"I, however, did not confide my status to anyone until today (i.e the disclosure via the letter)," she said. "Since 2006, I promised myself that it's in the university I got it and here I will leave it. I have indeed lived to keep my promise. She was in year three when they met. Year 3 of secondary school or the university. The bolded sections are confusing. |
chidichris:Fantastic logic!!!! However, must Chidichris insult to drive home his point? |
Jarus:I think, therefore I am. |
chidichris:Ride on! Keep spewing garbage! |
Decorum! Every right thinking individual should speak and behave with decorum. Its only Nigerians that call their president mentally ill. I dont think it is fair. The man is slow. Agreed. But we should not spread such unspeakable rumours about him. |
arkinses:All the loots in Swiss accounts were not deposited via cheques, they were wired. The CBN move wont have any effect on corruption; It will only make some Yahoo youngsters richer and nastier. |
Freedom of speech should not be misconstrued as Freedom to say all sorts of rubbish. |
The e-revolution can only get to Nigerians when they see superior and more secure e-services. You dont force people to use a system you are testing; you only encourage them. If the NEFT transfer system is more secure, no sane Nigerian businessman would want to issue a cheque. As it is, the widely known ATM fraud discourages people from getting involved with any electronic system. The CBN should first address banking security before coming up with the NEFT policy. By the way, I did a NEFT transfer to a business associate last month and he said he hasnt seen the money. I've been chasing this for some time now with no success. Dont expect me to try it again unless the system improves. |
edoyad:I think Edoyad needs to learn how to argue in the rgiht manner. U dont argue with only refutations. You bring out ur own points backed with statistics and logic. That aside, I've only spent more than one week in 4 states(Kaduna, Rivers, Lagos and Delta) in the last 12 months and from what I knew about those states and what I see now, I think all of them are performing. In terms of Infrastructural development, Fashola and Amechi are miles ahead of Uduaghan and Sambo. In terms of Humand capital development, Uduaghan is doing great. In terms of reorientation and value perception, Fashola and Uduaghan. Health, I cant really say, but I know Fashola builds larger structures probably because of the cost and scarcity of land in Lagos. Security, Sambo. hmmm! Uduaghan considering the state of lawlessness that was evident as a result of the ND struggle; Fashola, considering the population of the state. Over all, Fashola and Amechi. But the masses hate these people. |
Simon Kolawole. Thisday Reuben Abati- Guardian the knucklehead columnist: the nation, I hav only read 3 of his write ups, but I think he is good. |
Ananmbra: The theatre of dreams. The place where impossibility has no meaning. The land og the industrious. The land of political debauchery. |
I think we should break the tie. @Kosovo, There was no clear majority. I suggest you put up another poll that will include only the names of the three top nominees. If we don't get a clear majority, We can then go down to the top two. The year still has 3 weeks. By the way, The poll said NL political Personalities of the year. Why not NL politics section contributors of the year. My thots! |
I like the simple design. Jerseys are no longer mere sport wears; they've become fashion statements. Most fashion designers now go for basic designs. Wait a minute! Why cant Adidas come up with a Jersey design competition for Nigerians. They'll definitely be amazed by the contributions they'll receive. |
My nominees, Jakumo Eziachi Beaf |
Something tells me NO, but they think alike. If I find time, I'll do some checks. |
Is Kobojunkie and ndu_chucks one and the same person? |
KenGali: ![]() Sounds like an aspiring politician. Obama-like statements. KenGali:Sociologists call it cultural relativism, Very insightful contribution. However, you should understand that not all nairalanders have the patience to read such looooong posts. Pls try to keep it simple. You make very wonderful contributions to several NL discourse. |
Why do some women marry late? That may provide the answer to the topic. |
Which of the reasons below best explains the poster's attitude? A. The poster is probably running away from Immigration authorities. He stops typing whenever he hears the siren. B. The poster is on drugs. C. The poster was employed by Seun to keep Nairalanders addicted. D. The poster is carrying out a research on how patient Nigerians are. |
That is over 4 billion dollars
