I'm in shock! By the South East are their own and only enemy. They live and prosper in deceit.

No problem na dem go still cry - marginalization.
I don't understand the sort of logic that will make you leave the irresponsible people that committed this crime against humanity i.e. Buhari and the Minister of Aviation, both of whom are not Igbos and turn around to blame the victims. Like seriously?!

Such a shame!!

Nairaland is becoming something else. If you create a thread that seem to promote Igbo interests as against SW, they will close it down regardless of whether such thread is objective or not. However, on the contrary, if a thread that puts Igbos in bad light is created, they will allow it stand.

Black man with crab mentality. SMH!

LOL. I had my masters at a very young age to start with. Not sure what level of education Innoson had tho and I don't care.

I am working in one of the company that rank among the top 10 Fortune 50 companies. Yet, I still have my own personal business at my mid-20s.

I want you to show me Innoson record at my age. What are his achievements in his mid-20s, can you please present them here and let's compare?

About my future, you shouldn't be disturbed about that by setting limits to where I can reach. God and myself hold the key to that, So stop presenting statement with such level of authority like you are speaking to one wretched fellow without a life.
[/s]
Bla bla bla. I also had my PhD when I was only 23. I had my first degree in Oxford.
I resigned my position as a director in a Fortune 10 company where I was earning 50,000 dollars per month.

My friend, this is a faceless forum and anyone can claim anything so stop the noise already. Only gullible people will believe that someone with your thought process has ever left Obomosho.

Lol, wetin person no go see for nairaland.

, proeast come and carry una friend abeg.

According to him "Innoson does his usual stuff of reassembling, then structural welding and painting".

Help me ask him at what point do Innoson assemble the cars; after structural welding and painting or before wink

Does it mean that China send down plain steel to Innoson to weld and paint? I am confused biko someone should help explain to me what CKD is again.
There is no need arguing with people who are not only ignorant and dense, but also refuse to learn.

Only a fool will want to compare the so-called Nord that is operating from an empty warehouse that has only pallets and imported parts lying about to a standard car plant like Innoson.

Even if the CEO of Toyoto corporation tries to educate them, they will still want to argue blindly.

It is only a company that is out to import and sell as against manufacture that will be buying another land for expansion when they're yet to build an initial plant. Ask them to show you were Nord is operating from and they will show you pictures of a showroom, a warehouse and containers containing prefabricated car skeletons. Are those what makes a car plant??

Just leave them in their ignorance, only time will tell.

Nigeria is yet to act and they're already feeling scared.
Read between the lines and you will that these Ghanaians are already jittery but trying to form tough in a diplomatic way.

Ghana trying to humilate Nigeria all these while is akin to Mexico trying to humiliate the US and we all know how Trump will deal with them mercilessly.

Nigeria should hit Ghana mercilessly where it will hurt their economy terribly and make them suffer before accepting any diplomatic negotiation. That is how countries earn respect!
PoliticsRe: Oil Revenue - The Great Deceiver Of Nigerians by proeast(m): 9:41am On Aug 31, 2020
Rossinky:
Most Nigerians think they would be living like people in Germany, USA, Dubai, UK etc... IF ONLY our leaders did not steal and 'loot' so much of the oil and gas revenues the country earns.

THAT IS THE BIGGEST DECEIT IN THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY.

Nigeria does NOT make a lot of money from oil and gas commensurate to its huge population of 200 million.

The money is actually a pittance.

Nigeria's annual budget is 35 billion dollars.

Contrast that with South Africa's annual budget of 125 billion dollars.

Or the UK, 1.2 trillion dollars.

Or France, 1.7 trillion dollars.

Or Germany, 2.2 trillion dollars.

Or the USA, 7.6 trillion dollars.

NIGERIA NEEDS TO DIVERSIFY FROM OIL AND GAS TO EARN MORE AS A COUNTRY.

THAT is our Number 1 issue as a country.

Not corruption.

Not mismanagement.

Not tribalism or nepotism.

Not Boko Haram.

Not Fulani herdsmen.

Not IPOB.

But ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION.

Even with ZERO corruption, the money we earn today is grossly insufficient to develop the whole country and get everything working to perfection.

If you ask me, we're even doing quite well considering how little we actually earn.

Thank goodness the govt recognises the situation, and is doing well in diversification efforts through supporting manufacturing and agriculture especially.

Nigerian youths: Word of advice: Put your talents to use, and help in the nation's DIVERSIFICATION EFFORTS.

Start a business. Learn a skill. Go into manufacturing. Or agric processing. Or the services. You can start small scale and grow.

ADD YOUR QUOTA TO OUR DIVERSIFICATION DRIVE.

That is the ONLY way forward.

Alternatively, you can sit around perennially disgruntled and angry that the ''massive oil revenues'' of your IMAGINATION have not materialized before you, or led to a 1st world existence.

I SALUTE.
Since you know that oil revenue is actually peanuts and not enough for Nigeria to survive on, then why not support resource control so that others will be forced to seek alternatives in agriculture, solid minerals, tourism, industry or services??

I agree with you, so let's push for resource control and stop all these laziness and parasitism that has made us the poverty capital of the world.

These waste people are so terrible.
You will always see them trying to bad-mouth a brand that every reasonable Black man and African should naturally support.

Aside South East governors, others from the South South, North, FG and even foreign countries like Niger, Sierra Leon etc. often make orders from Innoson but you will never see their governors ordering from Innoson. They will rather go to China, India or Brazil to buy vehicles that are of same quality with Innoson.

What sort of people are these? The last time, Gtbank even made a ridiculous attempt to invade Innoson even they were the ones owing Innoson!!

You are not in the industry. Car designers are the same in the world. It could b the same car designers for the companies. All the cars always have similar designs or a little or no modification. The all come from same design companies.
Don't mind these hateful brats from the rustic waste region.
They're so dense in reasoning, and even when you try to educate them, they will still be talking nonsense.

Going into R and D at this stage of Innoson's growth is very risky and too expensive, and a single mistake can make them go bankrupt. So, the only reasonable and smart thing to do, is to use the designs of a bigger company that already has the capacity to do so. Innoson will then be growing its own capacity until they will be capable of developing theirs. This is exactly the same thing the Chinese did with already established American, European and Japanese brands years back and still does, which helped them to advance in a very short time and achieve within a few years what took others decades to create.

These people arguing and saying trash here are suffering from primitive crab mentality. They are from the waste and it's their way of life.

Become a major player? fool you sound confused. They are already a major player. Innoson is sure in business with them (not partnership). He is just the point person to garner local support for the product. If you were not so uneducated and uncivilized you will know how the Chinese loan to Sri Lanka and business men (whom citizens thought own their businesses) backfired. This is why I asked you to read more, yet you come here with blind lies after lies.

I don't see the Germans or Japanese touting this products as theirs. And side bar, BAIC you know the ones innoson is in bed with is actually owned by the Chinese government and the CCP have a huge warchest to gain relevance by buying stakes in German and Japanese companies. (pls read more, you might learn). Why do you think the U.S has repeatedly be mindful of any state run Chinese business. I know it's the bigger picture and you clearly aren't equipped to see that.[/s]
You really don't have sense, it's quite obvious.
Of course, who doesn't know that Innoson is already a major player in the auto industry of Nigeria and the ECOWAS region? I'm saying that Innoson will become a global player or at least dominate the African region in the near future if they continue at the pace they're growing and you're here confusing yourself.

So for a company to seek technical assistance at its formative period, that must have been paid for by Innoson now means the technical partner owns Innoson brand?

If you're not so hateful and dense in reasoning, you will know that the Chinese can not have a stake in any business without sending their people to be on ground in every aspect of that business.

Innoson did not obtain any loan from the Chinese!

Innoson is not operating under their franchise!

Innoson has been in the motorcycle business for years, a sector he dominated before going into vehicle manufacturing. He was already rich, started small and has been growing his brand steadily over the years yet this bingo is here saying nonsense about a non-existent Chinese stake.

Continue comparing apples with oranges out of hateful wishes. Typical Black man with crab mentality. If you're not so warped and primitive in reasoning, shouldn't you take pride in a brand like Innoson instead of saying all these nonsense?!

I wish I have enough time to explain to you how the Chinese giveth and how the Chinese taketh, if you think I'm hating or anything, look at what's happening in Sri Lanka.

Many of your points are merely baseless and feel good stories some people have been whispering to your ears.

As for your point about repairing aircrafts, please don't embarrass yourself with such claims as they merely supplied parts for repairs on aircraft. (since 2016). That claim itself is an insult to many of the engineers working with the Nigerian Air force. Any guesses as to where the parts are originally produced? many of the aircraft parts itself imported in part and passed off as Nigerian produced to rigmarole around regulations. (Please you really need to read more, we all do). It's a case of " oh we can't be seen importing Chinese products, ooops here is a Nigerian company producing it".

Technological advancement? where? when? That high demand thing is a company lie (not uncommon in the business world), in the case with gtb the true performance of the company was revealed. Expanding? the typical thing for an expanding business is build a new plant that will be central to supplying it's new market ( even you know that's a lie).
What crap are you talking about? What has Sri Lanka got to do with Innoson?

Did Innoson collect loans from China?
Is Innoson operating a Chinese franchise?

They're in partnership with several auto companies in Germany, China and Japan, and would easily go to another company if one doesn't agree terms with term.

Yes, they're advancing technologically and if they maintain the current momentum in ten years time they would become a regional or even global player.

He was listed by Forbes as one of the most promising young entrepreneurs in Africa for 2018.
Lolz, will you get serious please!!!!
What is here that you want me to be impressed with? Okay, he was influential in Nigeria Auto Industry in what capacity? Winning awards for achieving what exactly? Was listed by Forbes as promising young entrepreneur, then?

Nigeria Auto Industry is still at its infant stage, in fact it is the likes of Innoson that is making it tick in terms of manufacturing. However, the Nigeria Auto Industry in this context they were referring to is largely the marketing and distribution aspect, so I don't see how that would give him enormous skills to go into vehicle manufacturing.

Most frontline media carried the businessday news, so I should ignore them and instead believe a ignorant Ibo like you?
You can be gullible for all I care, that's your business.
It is common sense to know that these guys won't be showing us an empty warehouse with pallets and five guys sitting on CKD parts as well as a container with parts if they truly have something tangible on ground.

Do you know the Nord guy worked with Mercedes and founded Jetvan ? These guys are bringing innovation to the game, just watch them in the coming year.

Ajayi Joshua Oluwatobi MBA FICA
Chairman/CEO

Oluwatobi is a widely creative and astute entrepreneur, he is the founder of Nord Automobiles Limited, one of the first Nigerian automobile brands and Africa’s premier automobile corporation.

He started his career at Mercedes-Benz Nigeria, growing very fast to become the head of division (vans) and later co-founded Jetvan, an authorised dealer of Mercedes-Benz.

Oluwatobi is among the most influential people in the Nigerian Auto Industry, winning so many local and international awards and recognitions for his contributions to the automotive industry in Nigeria and Africa. He was listed by Forbes as one of the most promising young entrepreneurs in Africa for 2018.

He is an alumni of prestigious Lagos Business School (Pan Atlantic University) where he bagged his MBA, he has a certificate from the IESE Business School Spain after concluding his Pan African EMBA Module. He holds a B.Agric in Soil Science and Farm Mechanization, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun state.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administrators.
I'm sorry, but there is nothing impressive here.
Mercedes never had a plant in Nigeria. How does working in a Mercedes showroom give him the requisite expertise to run a car manufacturing firm?

I was even thinking you meant he actually worked in Mercedes car production facility somewhere.

The guy is right. This is what Theguardian said about Nord plant in Epe few days ago.

With a mission to roll out a wholy Nigerian model of cars, for Nigerians and assembled by Nigerians, the current Nord assembly plant is located on a 2,100 square meters of land space in Sangotedo in Lagos, while and another one recently acquired and occupying 3,400 square meters of land at Epe is currently undergoing construction for the assembly complex in readiness to meet the growing automotive market and increasing customer demand.

As for what will happen in the coming years, it will end in tears for both companies, tell me anyone you know lusting after buying innoson or Nord? The average Nigerian will buy KIA 10 times over before giving these companies a look.

How many times a year do you think the government buy cars? unless there's a more general willingness of Nigerians to purchase these cars, this one gamble too big for the Chinese.
I agree with you it would end in premium tears for Nord, considering they're in this as a front to import CKD and market. However, as for Innoson, I see the company going places even in the near future.

1. They're already grounded with factories in place and also operates in a city that has clusters of auto parts manufacturing companies.

2. Innoson is not only getting massive patronage by Eastern states governments as well as some others in Nigeria, but foriegn countries are already placing orders while lots of reputable brands like Shell are ordering too. Likewise, it may interest you to know that Innoson vehicles are already a common sight in the East, particularly here in Owerri.

3. Innoson is already expanding and because they're struggling to meet demand and they now have an academy that will ensure that their technological advancement is localized.

4. Innoson are already operating in highly technical and specialized fields like aircraft repairs and the likes, which means their expertise is top notch.

Pretty not worth the effort arguing with the likes of you. There is literarily the head office in lekki, and an expansion planned for Epe to do exactly what IVM is doing ( which is reassembling Chinese cars exactly to the specs of the original manufacturer). Doesn't seem like anything anyone should be blabbing about as they both basically Chinese companies with a Nigerian as their front man to penetrate the local market. But hey, it takes someone with a working brain to see that.
So, it is at the Lekki showroom that this ones were coupled?

A company that is yet to open fully, or even establish its first plant is now already talking about expansion?

Dude this guys are just into full time importation, let's not decieve ourselves.
